Overpriced for the quality. Understanding it was April, so not prime tourist season, they were out of most everything on the menu. Wine selection was extremely limited. For the cost of the dinner, we would have liked to have more choices
For the price, I expected a little better quality of food. My pasta was slightly warm and undercooked. Service was friendly and helpful, however, I felt a little rushed to finish our meal.
Hosted large party of ten and seated right by kitchen which made room quite hot. Food was just ok for the very high prices which is customary to Vail.
Toda la comida estuvo deliciosa, desde las entradas hasta los postres.
Loved the octopus! It would be a great place to take kids, there were some next to us and they were quite noisy and disruptive. The atmosphere is not conducive to an evening of relaxed, quiet conversation. Would love to try more of the food options, as they looked good. The pasta with clams was dry and I had to ask for more sauce. Waiter and staff were attentive and available. I wanted to love the whole setting more, but was a little disappointed. :(
I would go back and give it another try though!
Usually a safe go-to and love truffle gnocchi but this time ordered salmon plank and dry as the cedar plank it was cooked on.
Fuimos en familia y amigos, 9 en total. Por error mío infundí la hora y llegamos tarde. Con gran amabilidad buscaron resolverlo y nos dieron una mesa 39 min después.
Noise level was not a loud energetic. Instead it was screaming kids. Unruly kids. Families with no consideration for fellow diners. Avoid during Spanish week.
Great place very close to my hotel. Excellent food and service. Nice bar also
Everything was perfect
Excellent, Beef Carpaccio, Bruschetta, Pasta with truffle, burrata, pizza was ok.
The only not good was Bolognesa very simple, but the rest wonderful.
What can I say about the very non memorable experience. A friend and I tried a pasta with truffle which was extremely disappointing despite the high price and then we had to supplement with a pasta carbonara that was equally unimpressive. There are better options in Vail and certainly in Beaver Creek
Best restaurant in Vail!!!! Food fabulous and phenomenal service. Year after year we eat here and always look forward!!!
We had a dreadful experience, primarily because the food is absolutely terrible and service slow.
Had a great dinner here on Sunday. Wonderful food and great service. Booked again for Saturday!
Delicious food and a great atmosphere. We had a couple that split a dinner and they took care of it in the kitchen. Love that kind of service.
We had a party of 13. Our food was great! The service was pretty good for a large party. I would definitely recommend La Bottega. We eat there every time we are in Vail.
Amazing service and food
The food is great! However, the service was poor and failed to meet minimum standards. Even with a reservation, we were rushed. Wait to go there until the off-season when you might be allowed to order a second glass of wine.
Food was quite good, except for the veal medallions - which were as chewy as shoe leather. The unfortunate part was that they were HIGHLY recommended - and we later found that the kitchen had been aware of the problem for several days. Compensation in the form of a dessert was given - for the two of us to share. There are lots of choices in Vail, so we don't plan to return to this restaurant. Sad, because it has been excellent in the past.
La Botega is perhaps not always perfect but tonight they were. Solid quick attentive service, great Italian wine, and RABBIT. We had a great time.
It was delicious. We sat upstairs which was very quiet.
En general muy buena experiencia y comida muy rica un poco caro para lo q es. Gracias
Excellent food & service. None of us was able to finish our meal because it was too much.
Spent 1 night in Vail and a friend recommended La Bottega. It was great!
We have been to LaBottega many times in the past. As usual, everything was excellent with one exception. The host at the check in desk, unlike everyone else at the restaurant, was somewhat terse and less than friendly. Other than that, outstanding!
In my opinion this is the best Italian Restaurant in Colorado. Everything you eat is Great! The Bar is great ! There is a VERY EXPENSIVE sandwich, but if you can, try it. If you are up for pasta, there is no better one, just read the menu and get what you crave. Pizza is great. I love the mushrooms one.
Delicious food, great service, lovely setting.
We certainly enjoyed our dinner.
While I selected an 8 pm table seating per the Open Table with email confirmation, I was told by the hostess that my reservations were not until 8:15 pm. Not sure how that happens but it was embarrassing to my family who thought I made the mistake. The wait was not long and the waitress was great - plus the food was really excellent from beginning to end. Very energetic and busy place and truly packed tight with people, which is a testimony to its very good food. We would definitely return - chose for a family dinner while on vacation in Vail from Michigan.
The owner is rude and unfriendly. Sequently, it is not a welcoming place.
They just jam people into the place . It was a zoo ! The place was so warm inside it was uncomfortable to eat . Will not go back
Ravioli was way too thick and mushroom filling was tasteless. For 25 dollars , a disgrace!!
We had the worst greeting ever at La Bottega. We had booked a table for 10 people at 8:30 pm, which was confirmed over the phone the day before our reservation. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were told our reservation was at 9:15 pm. The host was extremely rude about the issue, and told us we would have to be seated in the bar area, on high top tables, once two parties were finished so they could combine the tables for us.
The entryway is tiny, and the bar area was packed, so it would have been very uncomfortable to wait there for 45 minutes. I showed him my Open Table reservation confirmation, which said 8:30 pm, and he shrugged it off saying “Open Table is often wrong”. I reminded him that someone from his restaurant had called the day before to confirm, but again he was adamant we were wrong rather than politely apologize that our table wasn’t ready.
When a few in our party left to see if the restaurant across the way could fit us in, magically a table for 10 in the dining room was ready.
Once the seating ordeal was over, our waiter was fine and the food was very good.
Absolutely delicious! The truffle and Parmesan gnocchi were divine little fluffy pillows. We ordered the mussels as a starter for the table and they were outstanding. The red sauces are solid and spaghetti and meatballs was some of the best I’ve had.
Very crammed space, service with attitude. There are some many other great options in Vail, you ought to be really desperate to go to La Bottega.
our group really enjoyed our meal at la bottega. the menu was very long (could be shortened) but it was nice to have a variety for our large group. we all enjoyed a couple of apps, salads and pastas. everything was fresh, hot and delicious. very extensive wine list, not many options for those with a tight budget but we made it work. server was friendly and timely, checked in just the right amount. when we walked in the front room looked chaotic, could barely get in the door, dirty glasses everywhere, so we worried our experience would be negative. however, our meal was nothing but lovely and the chaos from the front room/entrance obviously did not translate to the dining area/kitchen.
Jose’ is the best Waiter in all of Vail! Jose’, Thank you for always being such a great server! Dinner and drinks were as wonderful as always! Thank you La Bottega!
