La Boheme Ratings and Reviews
Happened to stumble on this place walking in WeHo. Plenty of tables around the 7 PM timeframe. Service was excellent--server knew everything about each dish we asked. 2nd round of drinks came out a little slow, bar probably got backed up, no worries. Tuna app was very unique & delicious. Oysters were tasty though more expensive by $10 than what was posted outside? Maybe that was bar only? Either way--had a great experience and would return!
Relaxed atmosphere in a beautifully laid out and decorated restaurant. Food great. Service prompt and attentive. Minor pet peeve: Since the order is taken by one waiter, and food is delivered by others, the servers should be told which plates belong to which guests. (I don't like it when the server at a fine restaurant says "Who has the fish?")
Other than that, a very upscale experience at a reasonable price. Thank you La Boheme.
The host was very welcoming. We loved his hospitality. The patio seating is amazing and beautiful. It is truly a great romantic peaceful retreat. The food is equally delicious. The steak was the best and the lamb chop comes second. Their bread' s texture is like a cloud, so soft and fluffy but deliciously cheesy. We will definetly come back!
La Boheme is one of my favorite restaurants & it is right around the corner from me. Everything was almost perfect (food was wonderful) although a week before my rsvp, I stopped by the restaurant to discuss logistics because I wanted to bring my dog (in a stroller) & I was concerned about the temperature outdoors. The host showed me the table I would be getting (near fireplace) & assured me that heaters would be available as needed. I was surprised when I walked out to the patio & saw a couple sitting at the table that I was expecting to sit at. It was fine that I was sitting elsewhere but don't tell me where I will be sitting if you are going to give the table to someone else!
Gorgeous patio. Elegant restaurant. Love the ambiance and service. Somewhat disappointed in food. Hopefully improvements will be made. Just FYI my husband couldn't even eat his mushroom soup. He said it was horrible. Sorry but felt you should know. Sincerely, Lisa.
This was my granddaughters first year moving to the area, I wanted her to celebrate Thanksgiving with a family member. La Boheme was an excellent choice because the optional meal for Vegans was awesome!!! Although is was a busy time, our server made sure to keep our water glasses full. Will defiantly return when in the area again!!!
They were advertising a $60 Thanksgiving feast on a poster in front of the restaurant so I rounded up some friends to go. We wanted to dine in the afternoon but we were surprised to arrive and only one table of two was there. Hardly the festive holiday atmosphere we had hoped for quite honestly. The staff was extremely nice and attentive so this review is solely based on the food. The first course was delish followed by soup (butternut squash?---sorry, it's uninspiring) or a simple mixed green salad of dry leaves that seemed like they pulled it out of the bag and plopped it on the plate along with 3 pecans and 4 cranberries (very sad and boring)----most of us chose turkey for the main course but 2 chose steak. One steak was overcooked (she wanted medium rare and it was medium well) but decided to keep it instead of waiting for another. They plopped THE fattest spears of asparagus that I've ever seem (c'mon folks, really??? for "fine dining"??) on the plate. The turkey was was good but they included the smallest possible scoop of dressing which was 2 bites as it turns out. Most people eat dressing once a year and look forward to it, but this was gone in a hot second. The dessert was extremely small as well and stuffed inside of baby pumpkins. I give them credit for the attempt, but I'd rather they'd put the money into a bigger portion and forget the pumpkin. Also, as it turns out, there seems to be a LOT of people who don't care for pumpkin (crazy, I know) but either way, they should have offered a second dessert option. All in all, it was just OK, not great. This place has been in business a long time though so they are doing something right. Perhaps they just need to perfect their holiday offering.
Lobster Fettuccine was tasteless, one piece of hard as a rock overcooked lobster, almost no sauce with a pasta that tasted of Tin' and Copper.
--wine was open for a while and not OK. they kept leaving the door open which had my dining companion freezing , - we got up and closed it 3 times ourselves.
Microwaved Garlic Bread..... Microwaved.....
They seemed to be more concerned with setting up the live band than the dining experience. --how do we know ; Our waiter was in the band.
Valet Parking is a Joke - 6$ to park your car yourself.
Lame Lame Lame
I hadn't been to La Boheme in years, and it was just as I remembered it! The dramatic decor of the dining room is spectacular! There's also an outdoor patio, where the ambiance is different from the main room -- albeit very nice. The service was especially attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious. I regret it was such a long time between visits. I'll be back!
Just revisited this old favorite of mine, I first dined there over 20 years ago when it had just opened and was the buzz of West Hollywood. While the "super trendy" folks now have their new favorites, I was more than pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant reinvigorated by a very friendly and efficient staff, an updated menu (offering Prix Fixe option) and DELICIOUS food! Food and wine are very reasonably priced and the overall atmosphere something out of a Hollywood movie. Currently themed for Halloween, a fantastic choice for atmosphere and food over many of the other eateries in the area.
It was a nice evening. The Maitre D attended to us. We had a nice bottle of wine. My date ordered the lamb chops, but one of them was cooked well done. So he took it back and got another one which was fine, I just didn’t expect that from a high caliber restaurant. Also we looked for Oysters on the half shell but could not find them on the menu, and then I looked over at a lounge area and some people are eating oysters. That was one of the reasons I wanted to go to that restaurant. But other than that it was great!
Very eclectic venue. People were friendly as usual. We must have had a new server as she was not attentive, brought things out too fast and finally brought the win we ordered when we were half way through our main course.
If it wasn't for the fact that I like the restaurant so much, I would not go back because of her service . She was nice but not the least bit organized
We had a large party of 17 that visited on a Thursday evening. The service and food where of a good standard but the atmosphere was a little flat as we where the only ones in the restaurant after 9pm. The restaurant itself is very well decorated and the location is not too bad.
My husband and I were celebrating our 50th anniversary with our daughters. The host celebrated us with a bit of bubbly, which was a great way to start. The patio was lovely and although there was a large party on the patio, their dining did not affect conversation at our table and did not require raising our voices.
Our waiter, Jesse, was attentive and had some great suggestions. It was a delightful way to spend a very special evening.
My friend took me to La Boheme for my birthday and everyone on the staff was so welcoming - the manager, the waiter, the host - everyone. They made everything perfect. Our patio seating was divine. I had called ahead and told them it was my birthday. They greeted us by name when we arrived and seated us right in front of the lovely fireplace! The food is delicious, and they have many veggie/vegan options. It was a truly memorable evening from start to finish.
