La Bodega - Leawood
It is a shame that I forget to go back to La Bodega because we have never had a bad experience with this restaurant. The food was great and the service was attentive. We will be back.
Amazing meal as always. Service is even better than the food if that is possible.
Great service. The tapas were good, but they tend to deep fry everything and make them too salty for my taste.
Never fails to satisfy. Our California guests want to come back. Churros are the best.
Always consistently delicious, and the staff is very friendly. Tapas are their specialty, but since I tried the vegetable paella, I don’t order anything else! It’s always a treat when I get dinner there!
Loved the fireside seating and the wonderful coffee dessert drink! Always fun to try the different tapas! Thanks for a lovely evening!
Our server Luke was outstanding. I highly recommend him as a server, I couldn't of had a better experience.
This was my first visit to this restaurant and we could not have been happier with the food and service.
We were a group of 4 people, there for lunch, and enjoyed the Cuban sandwich, salmon, Veggie Paella and Paella Valenciana, all were excellent. Plus the White bean soup was yummy. Then, the deserts...we split 3 between 4 people and all were very good. Must try!
Excellent delicious wonderful
excellent non-mexican Spanish food with great ambiance, service and music.
First time trying Spanish tapas and we loved it! Made us feel like we were in another country. Food was great, the flavors were so different and blended perfectly together, and we were full which is a big deal to us when it comes to restaurant and small plates. We’ll be back!
Love the Seafood Paella and their happy hour wine selections. Highly recommend having reservations, this place fills up quickly.
We met two friends for Kansas City restaurant week. We have been to the location on Southwest Boulevard earlier in the week and loved it. Guess we actually celebrated at this restaurant twice in a week. It was that great!
Went for restaurant week. Server was good and attentive. Even though two of us were not happy with our choice of short rib they gave us the option of choosing something else to eat instead. Otherwise food was very good
Tried this restaurant for the first time during restaurant week. I ordered the short ribs and was told the chef recommended medium rare which I agreed to. Unfortunately I got really rare. I attempted to eat it but had to request for it to be cooked longer, which they did. My friend ordered the chicken which was also under cooked. Not many diners during the time we ate so the kitchen shouldn’t have felt rushed. Was disappointed in the food but service was wonderful.
Fun place to visit! **
Went there for new year's eve. Very happy with the prix fix menu. Good selection. The filet was very tender. Very surprised that they were not busier.
Always great food!
Always one of my favorites! Great food, atmosphere and service
Great service and food! Wonderful family Christmas celebration.
Paella dish had good flavor, but no “crunch”, as paella should. Also, the seafood in the paella was short on seafood, not enough for the price paid. Excellent service, excellent ambiance otherwise, just overpriced entrees.
A nice spot to meet friends for a little pre-holiday lunch. Food was delicious and service friendly and prompt.
We went for brunch. We order 2 tapas which were delicious. 2 of us ordered the biscuits and gravy. They thought they were good. Two of us ordered Spanish Eggs Benedict, it was the most tasteless food I have ever eaten. I can’t say it was bad because it had no, as in zero, flavor. My son ordered a Bloody Mary and he didn’t like it at all. Very disappointing meal because we love La Bodega for tapas...not brunch.
We had a party of six and shared tapas so we ordered three dishes at a time. Everything came out in order except for two dishes that did not appear until after our third round and after we asked twice about them. Our server was good but was covering three other tables with four or more people so she was swamped. One group next to us was abnormally loud so we had a problem having a conversation. Food was tasty but the service needed help.
Had a delightful time, soft recorded music in the background. Fun selection of tapas. Good service.
Great evening, enjoyed happy hour cocktails at the bar with a generous helping of Seafood Paella. Highly recommended sitting at the bar, great service even when the place was packed. Have been there several times and everything on the menu, Tapas & Entree’s are amazing.
Great food, good service, fun place! The staff is polite. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite spots! Always fabulous experience!
Friday night holiday season. Tables were ready on time. It was a little noisy but expected. The food as usual was terrific especially the shrimp and horseradish, chicken chorizo skewers. Bread was not offered as it usually is so we had to ask for it. My only complaints are those tapas served in threes which does not suit parties of four very well and that it seemed fairly expensive for dinner. When tapas reach $13-15 a plate they should consist of a fairly substantial quantity (some more expensive proteins like tuna excepted). Per couple the cost for tapas and 2 drinks each ran over $100 and we left still hungry.
I love a little taste of different things, that's why I love the tapas. I'm not big on meat & potatoes & heavy meals so I love this type of dining. They do have sandwiches & entrees though. Like any restaurant, noise level varies according to season, time of day and day of the week. It's a category of it's own. neither a fine dining steakhouse or a sports bar. Definitely recommend.
We enjoyed good vegetarian tapas and sangria during happy hour, and the restaurant treated us to a birthday dessert. It was all tasty and a good value for the money. We recommend. the garlic sauteed mushrooms and the fig and goat cheese tapas.
Amazing food and I'm obsessed with the sangria! Love this place.
Another great evening at La Bodega. Service is always good, the manager obviously takes great pride in the experience he offers at the restaurant.
Awesome meal, from out of town and wanted tapas and we were lead here. Paella was amazing, and the croquettes were bomb. My favorite were the chicken and sausage skewers.
Service was great, fast and responsive. Good energy, good food!
Dinner was delicious as always!
We had out of town guests. We all thoroughly enjoyed the selection, wines, food and service!
Great food as usual. Great flamenco dancers!
