Great way to enjoy being with friends! The artichoke and the scallop tapas were our two favorite, although the sautéed shrimp was a close 2nd. The Mexican Coffee is a must and a great way to finish the evening!
The happy hour is very enjoyable and great prices!
Absolutely loved the food. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend and plan on going again!
La Bodega has been my husband’s favorite restaurant for years. Our last visit just changed that for him. We ordered a pitcher of sangria and it came without any fruit. We were told that was because of Covid. We were also told there was no bread service because of Covid. I have been to multiple restaurants during this pandemic and have never encountered these restrictions. There was no reduction in price due to this limited service. I would not recommend going to this restaurant until they can provide the quality they used to.
This was our first "post covid" visit, and we were pleasantly surprised. The menu has changed, and all the Tapas we ordered were even better than before. The outdoor seating was pleasant and was certainly a good substitute for the lovely bustling "pre covid" atmosphere.
If you haven't been back, go now! We in Kansas City need this wonderful restaurant to stay open, and they have proven that they can still deliver in a pandemic.
Great girls night out! It was half off bottles of wine and our server gave us excellent suggestions. We'll definitely be back!
Everything was SO good. Will definitely be back soon!
Amazing service and atmosphere! Had family in from out of town and needed a COVID-friendly patio. Staff was very safe and helped us have a delicious + memorable dinner. Would recommend!
Wonderful food, drinks, and service! We will definitely be back!
Great first time experience at La Bodega, looking forward to the next one.
Such a fun place to dine with my friends. Sangrias are yummy and the food was delicious! Ate outside on a cool afternoon, felt like we were on vacation!
This was our first experience eating out since covid began. We went to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent as usual. The funniest part was that for at least half of our time there, we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. There were plenty of people on the patio but the most that were inside at one time was 4 diners. It was a great experience as usual. I love the churro dessert and the bread with fig, goat cheese and red pepper. The tenderloin with blue cheese is also excellent. SO many choices.
Wonderful service. Great experience.
Cocktails, tapas and service were great!
A lot of effort was put into the seating arrangements to install a level of social distancing. However, the entry to be checked in is a bottleneck. Lifetime were on top of each other waiting to be seated.
Overall, the food was excellent and the tables themselves were spaced well. Our server, Luke was the best!
La Bodega was the perfect spot for a fun date night! The paella is amazing, their tapas were great appetizers prior to our meal and their sangria was recommended by everyone we talked to. I already made another reservation to go back this weekend!
The food was terrific and Kasha a terrific/wonderful server. La Bodega is on of my favorite places!! hla
Food and drinks - excellent. We were extremely impressed with the setup of tables for social distancing! Kudos for that. On the flip side.... Service was very poor. Clearly, something was going on with the wait staff. About 10 minutes after we sat down, a server came over and said, “I guess I get you guys.” Not attentive. We would have gotten a couple more plates but decided to call it a day. All that said, while we are from out of town, we would try it again. The food and setup were good enough to overcome a bad server night!
It was a perfect outing for our Anniversary dinner. The food was delicious and the safety protocols made me feel safe about dining in even with COVID concerns.
A long-time favorite, La Bodega never disappoints. Food, wine and service was superb. Split several new appetizers and topped it off by sharing the seafood paella. Wine recommendations were spot on!
This was out first COVID dining experience and it felt extremely safe. Wait staff was masked up, outside tables were 6 feet apart and there was a focus on hygienic serving.
Disappointed that with a table reservation we could not sit outside. Inside lacked atmosphere as it was very quiet due to Covid. Potatoes were not crispy as we remembered them. Happy Hour times have changed but we will be back next year.
Great service by our waitress Ellen M. Thank you for looking after us so well.
Glad this place is back open, Been coming here for years!! Love local places that have character!
Outstanding service especially with the virus considerations. Food was fantastic as always.
The food, drinks, and service was fantastic as always.
Wedding anniversary. Our waitress brought us a glass of champagne to celebrate.
Such a great restaurant. Almost impossible to choose a bad dish if you like Spanish cuisine. Service could have been better, but they just reopened recently and stuff is pretty different so it is understandable. If you go during tapas happy hours the value is absolutely excellent for the food.
Pandemic wise, they are doing an excellent job of taking precautions to protect the staff and guests.
Will absolutely be going back many times in the future. If you're not at risk for COVID, I highly recommend going out responsibly and giving this restaurant a try!
The experience was disappointing. The menu had changed and has less options than usual. Many of the options did not have a meat option so it just felt like I was eating sides and lacking a “meal”. Many items on the small menu were unavailable when requested. I left unsatisfied. Even though seating is less due to covid, the noise level is still uncomfortable for an intimate experience.
Food was delicious. Skip the Sangria it wasn’t good but cocktails were strong and tasty.
Nice menu. Good seating during COVID pandemic.
always a good experience, service and food excellent; keeping staff and customers safe
Service was pretty good. Food was fine - very different than the Spanish I am used to in South Florida which is more heavy on olive oil and garlic. I wouldn't recommend the Sangria - it didn't have a lot of taste (I don't think the white Sangria even had any fruit, which is again very different than what I was used to).
It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go back.
Love this place. We stop by every time we get to KC.
Fun tapas restaurant with amazing food. Great atmosphere with a nice patio. Sangria is on point.
Food was good, but the noise on the street was very obnoxious. The waitress was nice, but forgot to put in our order and it took a long time to get the food that we actually did order. We’ve eaten there several times before, but things seem to have gone downhill big time since the reopen from COVID.
The food was excellent, as usual. We are so happy they are seating in the dining room again. Everything was clean and there was lots of space between customers. Wonderful time.
Dined on the patio, with a 5:00 reservation, trying to take advantage of their popular happy hour. Apparently the happy hour used to go til 6, but now ends at 5. The website still said 6 tho, so they honored the deal for us and we enjoyed our half price pitcher of house sangria, as well as our dinner: marinated olives, albondingas, pan con tomate, a seafood salad and baked goat cheese with tomato fresco and crostini. The olives and the baked goat cheese were the stars. We’ll be back, next time hungrier so we can try more of their menu - and before 5:00.
The tapas were excellent!!!! ...So many to choose from, and they were all good. However, the Paella doesn’t taste like like real paella, it tastes like chicken and rice , no seafood taste at all.
Everyone was so nice!
Awesome!! The burrata was amazing and my new favorite!!
Quality has decreased over the past year. Shrimp was much smaller, meatballs appeared to be from a bag (overcooked), short rib drowning watery tomato and onion over grocery store baguette
