The restaurant for a late breakfast on a weekday was not busy. We enjoyed the ambiance and the delicious food. No one rushed us. It was a relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend it.

Some very nice meals on their menu and the desserts are really good. Nice staff, but they are, like so many places these days, woefully understaffed. It is a bit dark and crowded, though. We were shoved into a tiny corner and I was made to sit on a backless stool--not comfortable at all. I would get food to go.

My first time here and I will return. My friend and I really enjoyed it and I will also try the one in Chelsea as it is much closer to me. I had the scallops, a special and they were almost the best, and my friend had the mussels which she enjoyed very much too!

In all my years, I have never had a more disappointing experience with a restaurant! My spouse and I were on holiday in NYC and most excited about having a romantic French dinner. We noted the good ratings and easily reserved a 5:00 reservation on Open Table. We took an Uber from the Met Museum of Art, walked in @ 4:55 and were told that they were closing in 5 minutes and that they do not serve dinner. We were beside ourselves and ended up walking to a Mexican restaurant. I hold both La Bergamote and Open Table responsible. La Bergamote needs to change their hours on the google search website and Open Table should ABSOLUTELY not take reservations for this restaurant for dinner.

My dish was not as described. An ingredients (he asparagus) was missing. My bowl of shrimp and linguini was skimpy on the shrimp. Basically a bowl of pasta, rendering it over priced. My friend ordered the mussel, which seems to have been the better choice.

Lunchtime on a sunny, pleasant Tuesday, we sat inside. Not at all crowded or noisy which for me, equipped with hearing aids, was most welcome. Service was friendly and alert. Food and wine were very enjoyable for the three of us. I expected something more from the day's soup, carrot--an herb of some kind--otherwise it was satisfyingly hot and a generous portion. We'll likely return.

The food was awesome. One of the best mushroom risottos I’ve ever had. My guests were equally happy with their entrees. Small quiet space which makes it great for conversations and catching up with friends. I would definitely go back.

We had an early reservation which was great because the restaurant is quite small but was almost empty. We were having a dinner reunion and were able to talk comfortably while enjoying an excellent meal! Dessert was spectacular!! Convenient to the theater district.

We were there for a birthday lunch for an old friend and her husband. We ordered 2 Chicken Aioli Sandwiches, One Steak Sandwich, one Chicken Paillard, and a lovely dessert. The food was great, and it was a perfect place for a low key, intimate celebration among good friends. The pastries look spectacular - I will have to come back to check them out.

I am unable to review La Bergamote because they were closed on the day of my reservation. Open Table took my reservation, but the restaurant was not open on Monday. Luckily for me and my party, the restaurant called to say that they would be closed; when I asked why Open Table took the reservation, the person who called was very dismissive and didn't seem to care. (In fact, she said, they are closed EVERY Monday, but Open Table didn't know that.) So my ratings are NOT of the quality of service or food at La Bergamote but of the fact that Open Table and the restaurant need to communicate.

This is a quaint restaurant in an unassuming part of midtown west. It is on a corner street so it's not as busy and it's a bit further west than where all the noise is, so it is perfect for a date night or lunch. The staff was great with communication before and during my visit and it made it very pleasurable. The restaurant was cute and welcoming, with a very Parisian vibe to it. Our waiter was always attentive and always asked if we needed something. The food was good. I ordered the shrimp linguine and my friend ordered the onion soup as well as the salmon salad. We both enjoyed our meals and since I work in the area, I'll definitely be going back.
