La Bella Vita
Intimately designed and wonderful staff.
Fabulous meal and service!
Great food, phenomenal service. 10/10 worth visiting on your trip to nyc
I used OpenTable to make the reservation for my 18th wedding anniversary. When we arrived the restaurant had no record of the reservation, but seated us anyway. They assigned us a table serviced by possibly the slowest waiter I’ve ever had. The table next to us was seated after us and had their entire meal including apps, drinks, and dessert by the tine we had our apps.
This food finally arrived and was great. So, the service basically dampened what otherwise would have been a great evening.
Due to the San Gennaro feast the noise level was high. I didn’t mind it at all. I enjoyed it just as much as the food. There wasn’t a long wait for the food. The servers were very accommodating and responsive to orders. Over all, great experience.
Great food and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend.
Reasonable service but over priced and have had better Italian food back in England.... disappointing!
They have always been so great with my allergies!
Great food and hospitality. Owner took care of us.
Twins first birthday
La Bella Vita is a great little spot in Little Italy. It has great food, but not necessarily worth the price you pay for it. The wait staff is also decent, but they seem to be a bit of organized chaos and sometimes forget to come back to you, even though there's tons of them in this little place. Overall, worth a night out.
Went with a date and had a great time. The food was delicious and the ambiance was very Brooklyn/Italian. The service was rather poor however, had to ask several people for a drink before I received one. The location is also relatively loud with me needing to really lean into my date to hear what she was saying. So that could be a plus. Definitely a very energetic scene.
Calamari very nice. Pasta and sauce above average. Chicken Bella Vita- chicken was dry despite Gorgonzola sauce. Stick to pasta dishes next time
Food was excellent - the raviolis (steak, lobster, butternut squash) were awesome. Service was great and friendly. Will definitely go back.
We had our wedding lunch here and all of our guest LOVED the food and the welcoming staff and service.
Loved the raveola special (lamb, lobster, cheese and mushroom). They set up a table for our group of 13. Great experience.
We took out of town guests for a Little Italy experience but needed a place with gluten free options. La Bella Vita was perfect.
Great food. Good service. Nice selection of food, wine and beer. My friends and I enjoyed the restaurant and woukd go back the next time we are back in NYC.
We come back again and again. Love this place! Get the prosciutto! The balsamic is to die for!! And steak raviolis in vodka sauce, OMG!!
The best Italian food I had on our visit to NYC
Always a must stop for a fantastic meal when in NYC!!!
Great food, excelent service. A little crowded, but that's to be expected. Overall it was a great dinner.
The food was AMAZING. I got their chicken sorrentina and my husband got their lamb special, which was quite sizable and delicious. All the waiters spoke broken English, so you know it's authentic. I would highly recommend based on our fabulous experience.
Food was delicious and the tiramisu is to die for. May be the best tiramisu I’ve ever had!
They don’t actually do reservations, so we ended up at a restaurant across the street.
Incredible food. Amazing service.
Pasta and meatballs over cooked. Pasta slightly cooled. Great service. Good atmosphere. Need to pay attention to food quality.
The food was just ok, but the service was fabulous!
Took about 45 mins to be seated even with reservations. Service was par or slightly above but not personable. Food was decent but disappointed the pasta wasn’t fresh for being located in little Italy. Not a bad meal experience but we won’t be back again.
We came early but they gave us a seat anyway. Wonderful food. A great place to take a date.
Exceptional food and service.
Good food and great service
Delicious food at reasonable prices in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful and authentic food.
great food and friendly staff as this was my daughter's first trip to NYC. We had to cancel a previous reservation due to Uber problems, but had no problem getting there the second time we made a reservation. Thanks for making our visit fantastic!
Had an outstanding dinner here including the calamari appetizer, chicken parmigiana, and the pesto gnocchi with mussels. We loved every second of this place!
I had a great time here! I went with family for a birthday dinner, and the service and food were amazing. Water was refilled often and we felt taken care of. Pasta was great and filling and we appreciated the free bread with olive oil.
Not getting the super enthusiastic reviews for this restaurant. Our food was fine, but nothing spectacular, and the restaurant has the tables crammed too closely together and is too boisterous for the price. Struck us as touristy instead of a local neighborhood place. Portions are generous but underseasoned for our taste. Would not return.
I really enjoy the food here , the red sauce is light and tasty and the maître d’ was watching out for us, picking my jacket of the floor and friendly. This place gets a thumbs up
I went to La Bella Vita during San Gennaro and was very disappointed. My boyfriend and I were seated quickly, but then approached aggressively by the manager/owner that we needed to move. The waiter came over to tell him we had a reservation, so he walked away. We never received water refills. Had to ask for fresh pepper while we watched other waiters ask their tables if they wanted fresh pepper and cheese. Pasta was over cooked. After we paid (including a 18% tip), we were chased down on the street by our waiter (owner behind him) that we didn’t pay our bill. We said we did, and they left. If they had paid attention, they would’ve realized that another waiter took our signed copies. The unprofessionalism here is ridiculous. Never going back.
Great food and great service.
They should tell you more details about the special and not be so vague, especially if a dish takes 50 minutes to make. On top of that, the whole lobster in the dish was over cooked and chewy. So the steep price wasn’t even warranted.
