La Baguette Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We’ve dined here many times and this was a busy Friday night. We’ve had this same waiter in the past and had great service. I’m guessing he was stretched too thin on this night. I wasn’t offered another drink from the bar, nor was anyone else at the table. I had to ask for a glass of tea several times and it was never refilled.
The filet was delicious as always, as was the rest of the party. We were a party of six and my bill for two was $100. I’m not complaining about the food or cost but at this price point I expect great service.
This is always a good place to eat lunch, brunch or dinner. We had dinner and the food and service were great. I had a 4 oz piece of meat and it was perfect size for me. So many places you have to order a large chunk that you can't or shouldn't eat. The sides were good and drinks and desert were good. Can't go wrong here.
This was a very special occasion, as the last time my friend and I were at La Baguette, she suffered a small stroke after we ordered and before we could enjoy our meal. She is fully recovered and I can tell you she enjoyed every bite of her bacon cheeseburger and pomme frites!
I came with four friends to celebrate my birthday. One friend was served the wrong drink twice. The other got a salad that was supposed to have tuna on it, and it didn’t when she received it. My birthday cake was not presented to us properly (as it had been before, this is my usual place I like to come to for my birthday) and was cute before we could get a picture. Our waiter was not up to par as opposed to other times I have been. Normally impeccable service, but not at this time.
I have patronized La Baguette for years and have always enjoyed my experiences. That said, my last experience (just two days ago) was flat. My partner ordered a Tito's on the rocks and it was a toss up if there was actually any vodka in the glass - especially for the price! Our waiter was a bit dismissive and slightly arrogant. He didn't write down anything and sure enough, he got two of our three orders wrong. The experience I'm describing is the exception rather than the rule, however, I share this so it can be helpful to others and especially to a restaurant I most always enjoy.
Amazing as always! Went with two other couples to take advantage of the half-priced cocktails - which were perfectly made. Of course, ordered the delicious pate and enjoyed a cheese plate as well. All ordered entrees. My "John's Rigatoni" was to die for - chicken with mushrooms, gorgonzola and almonds in a Chablis cream sauce. We ended the evening with Brandy Ices that were so rich with just the right amount of kick. Laura, our server, was professional and attentive. The owner stopped by for a quick chat and to assure we were pleased. This restaurant is consistently superb.
Absolutely the worst dining experience ever. I made reservations for six, we were crammed into a booth for four; many large party tables available. I requested a move, definitely irritated the hostess. Our server, whom I will not name, was awful. We had to ask for bread, coffee, butter, more bread, beverages, and our food was not impressive. I was extremely disappointed that brunch is over at noon, the time of our reservation; okay, but how do you continue serving eggs? This is how we started my mother’s 76th birthday. Thank goodness we had other things planned. We will not be back and neither will anyone we know.
It was my daughter's 7th birthday. She wanted a fancy girls' night. The waiter left something to be desired. It took forever for him to come to our table. We only got one drink because he never asked if we wanted another. He wasn't going to ask about dessert. If it wasn't my daughter's birthday, I would not have gotten dessert through him. I don't believe in racking up a bill and tip on that bill if the waiter isn't going to do their complete job.
