La Baguette Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Amazing as always! Went with two other couples to take advantage of the half-priced cocktails - which were perfectly made. Of course, ordered the delicious pate and enjoyed a cheese plate as well. All ordered entrees. My "John's Rigatoni" was to die for - chicken with mushrooms, gorgonzola and almonds in a Chablis cream sauce. We ended the evening with Brandy Ices that were so rich with just the right amount of kick. Laura, our server, was professional and attentive. The owner stopped by for a quick chat and to assure we were pleased. This restaurant is consistently superb.
Absolutely the worst dining experience ever. I made reservations for six, we were crammed into a booth for four; many large party tables available. I requested a move, definitely irritated the hostess. Our server, whom I will not name, was awful. We had to ask for bread, coffee, butter, more bread, beverages, and our food was not impressive. I was extremely disappointed that brunch is over at noon, the time of our reservation; okay, but how do you continue serving eggs? This is how we started my mother’s 76th birthday. Thank goodness we had other things planned. We will not be back and neither will anyone we know.
It was my daughter's 7th birthday. She wanted a fancy girls' night. The waiter left something to be desired. It took forever for him to come to our table. We only got one drink because he never asked if we wanted another. He wasn't going to ask about dessert. If it wasn't my daughter's birthday, I would not have gotten dessert through him. I don't believe in racking up a bill and tip on that bill if the waiter isn't going to do their complete job.
We took our dear friends to La Baguette for her 83rd Birthday. We had a wonderful time. She tried the escargot for the first time and absolutely loved them. We both had chicken crepes which were absolutely fabulous. My husband loves the lamb. For dessert Creme brûlée. The French make the best. Alain, the chef, came out to visit with us. Our wait staff was a very sweet French guy who took great care us. Swyr was his name. I highly recommend La Baguette.
Dining here is a little more elegant than most restaurants I go to. I would say long pants and a collared shirt for the guys, but they won't turn you away is you're wearing shorts. The food is some of the best in town without doubt! They serve the best strawberry jam with bread to start and the waitstaff is attentive without being annoying. We were there for brunch and I never had to ask for my coffe cup to be filled. It was always taken care of. My wife and I were able to have a conversation without feeling interrupted. I'd give this experience 10 or 11 stars is the scale went that high!
Always a culinary delight! It was Bastille day and festive atmosphere. Food was excellent, as was service. We do not live on OKC but always dine at La Baguette when we are in town. On this visit, we enjoyed the Australian halibut and roasted duck. Both were delicious, plus we had an appetizer of oysters & salads. This restaurant is consistently wonderful.
Excellent dinner! Our guest said the salmon was the best fish he had ever eaten! Both the tomato gazpacho and the watermelon gazpacho were delicious also. A bit crowded and noisy on a Friday night--because it was full--but normally pretty quiet and pleasant for conversation.
Everything was fine except that the service was not great . My family dines there often but this time everyone else was getting food and drink before us . Tables that were seated way after we got there had better service . No bread refills ... etc. just the little things . I want to be as important as the next guy.
