We had the romance platter for 2 , 99.00 value , 2 steak, 2 lobster tails , 2 pieces jerk chicken and veggies . It was very good and we enjoyed it very much .
The service was outstanding
Our waitress was very good. She recommended the Fantasy Platter, so we had that. The complimentary buns (2) were dry and chewy - obviously not fresh. It was $99 for two.... it said it had lobster (had two small tails), 4 shrimp, some veggies, 1 steak (cut in half) and a partial chicken breast (cut in half). The chicken breast was fatty! I actually had to spit out my few bites...I think they left the skin on but it wasn't crisp and was chewy/fatty. The steak was terrible quality... gristle and again, chewy! It got stuck in our teeth! Yuck! We were there for our anniversary and only ate a few bites of the chicken and steak... just poor quality for $50 each. The little lobster tails and shrimp were very good. No complaints. We ate those and the vegetables. Overall, just not good quality food for the price, at least not in this dish. I would not recommend.
Food was excellent.
Our server was exceptional and everything was great. My only complaint would be that there isn’t much privacy for a romantic dinner and it is quite loud in the restaurant at all times. Otherwise it was all great.
I will recommends the restaurant but it's pricey...food is good and the service as well
Thank you everyone
Valentines day
Very nice date night. Food was exotic for my standards but the experience was amazing. The staff was exceptional.
Valentine’s Day celebration was amazing because of f your staff and wonderful food!
Took my mom there for her birthday, she loves the brunch at L2. I wasn’t going to eat, because I was planning on going to yoga later, but my mom really wanted me to have the buffet.
As my brother said, the selection was great and the food itself looked delicious. The problem was that every thing was cold. Like really cold. The breakfast potatoes were in an open bowl with a light on them. Then there were the “hot” items chicken, fish (I believe), cheesy potatoes, bacon & sausages, pancakes & French toast, eggs Benedict, etc.. Like I said, beautiful spread. There was so much food in each serving dish and I’m not sure how or if they were being heated, but the restaurant wasn’t busy and so the food was just sitting there getting cold. When they don’t have a full house, I don’t know why they wouldn’t put out less of each item and just circulate it more of them, rather than a ton of food that just sits there getting so cold. After trying that I was turned right off and didn’t want to eat anymore. My mom said the prime rib was hot and she had an omelette made, although she wasn’t happy with the way the girl made it. Overall, for me I would never for back, but unfortunately I know my mom likes it and would want to go back, but I can get way better value at several other places for $33 than at L2.
Our waitress was lovely and so accommodating and full disclosure - I am no fan of buffets, but can appreciate when they are done well.
Great Food and Great Service.
We took our family to L2 Grill to celebrate my daughter's 30th Birthday. Right from the start, we were treated very well and they knew there was a celebration of some kind. Our servers were fantastic. Always there when we needed something. He also brought out a birthday dessert for her.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Thank you
We dined as a family of 6, and everything we ordered on the menu was exceptional! Service was great! And drinks was right on! Second time there and we are definitely going back.
nice selection on menu. food was delicious. service was outstanding
We went for breakfast so not prime time, there was a long line and we said we had a reservation and she said ok and continued to seat everyone in front of us, we also put in a special request as it was my sons bday but we didn’t expect much, rightfullly so as we didn’t even get a happy birthday from anyone. And on top of that we were given a table in the centre of the room after everyone in front of us got booths and it was very dirty still with a lot of food on the floor, I made a comment and she just smiled and asked if that was ok cuz they were so busy. Calling the breakfast a buffet was stretching a bit as well as there were maybe 10-12 items and the fruit was all fruit that needed to be peeled still ( not that mattered but just hadn’t seen in awhile) with all of the options in West Edmonton mall you can certainly find better this was a huge disappointment for a hotel.
Trappers Platter, Grilled Oysters and a Flaming Dessert!! L2 rocked our socks off with an amazing meal for our anniversary!
Went for the Sunday Brunch and had low expectations. The other disappointing brunch buffets in this city had me jaded. With that said, L2 is now my go to Sunday Brunch spot.
The food was way better than what I was expecting. The cold dishes had actual flavor and wasn't the bland mess one usually gets from a buffet. The seafood options were fantastic. Crab was fresh and the meat released from its shell without effort. The muscles and shrimp weren't just defrosted and dumped in a bowl for serving. They were actually seasoned and tasty.
The hot food was good as well - I didn't try the Eggs Benedict but that's only cause I have been jaded by buffet eggs Benedict too many times in the past. It's nearly impossible to have a runny yolk after being subjected to buffer lights. The other hot food options were good. The prime rib was delicious and practically melted in my mouth.
The surprise for me was the bread section. The breads I tried were soft and fresh and they didn't just have one or two options. They had 5-6. Maybe more. I'd recommend the mini pretzel buns and the apple-cheese loaf.
The desserts were an excellent way to end the meal. Made fresh in house, they took care and the time to give a various selection of sweet goodies. Highlights were the Tiramisu (be sure to eat the chocolate tempered cup it's served in), Creme Brulee (it was actually properly bruleed) and the Bailey Shots.
The service was touch and go to begin with but it got better as the time went on. Plates were cleared fast and we were well attended to.
Overall a great Sunday Brunch buffet and I'll definitely be back again soon.
The experience was overly lovely. The only criticism I can muster is that my sushi appetizer was stale.
We enjoyed the amazing selection and excellent food and service at L2 Fantasyland Hotel. Thanks everyone at Wem.
Great hospitality, good service-- food was excellent, good value for amount of money spent.
Mommy daughter date
Great food but not a lot of options for children on the menu, vegetables or salad instead of fries would be more agreeable to me as a parent.
The buffet selection was poor and of low quality. Although our waitress was very lovely and attentive the restaurant was very disappointing. It was our first visit and we would definitely not go back!!!
The food was pretty good, however, the service was poor. We were a group of 9 and it really felt we were forgotten.
Our waiter was very good to us! Found us a great bottle of wine. Loved the surprise truffles at the end! There were 4 of us and we would all recommend it. I was disappointed there was not much different foods for vegetarian, besides pasta and burger.
Great service! Wallace one of their staff that attended us gave us great service and customer experience. We totally recommend it.
Food was good and a good value. There were a couple of little extras which were nice.
The waiter (older gentleman) at breakfast this morning was very unfriendly, appeared annoyed when we asked for coffee refills, and didn't make eye contact with any diners to see if they needed anything.
Food was not hot. For what you pay small portions. Definitely will not go back.
Great service and was very convenient for those staying in the hotel. Food was below my expectations which was a bit disappointing but the amazing staff & service made up for it. I doubt I would dine here in the future.
Great food, great staff, great environment! Thank you
Very relaxing experience. I was on my honeymoon and we enjoyed our meals very much. The drinks are great as well. The service is very friendly and quick. They will accommodate you very well and without issue.
I found the food lukewarm to cold for Thanksgiving brunch.
There was a private event going on in the back room. Multiple times lights were turned off for all guests and music was increased. Waiter did not explain menu items and was not attentive to our table.
Great service and food!!
Everything was Amazing, service, food, people. Will def go back!
Negative: There was no wheelchair access in the washrooms or change table for a baby, and the counter space was not conducive to changing a baby or toddler there safely, had to use the floor.
Positive: The staff was very friendly and our waiter, Wallace, was amazing. We appreciated that we were able to bring in a Birthday cake, since it was a special occasion. We also enjoyed the appetizer that chef sent out, an arancini is what I think it was called. And loved all the chocolates, but would have liked to know what each one was/ or had in it.
Excellent Service and food!
My wife and I would and have recommended this restaurant to our in-laws and friends. We felt the food was more of an experience that was very enjoyable and we were treated wonderfully by the staff. We chose this place for our 25th anniversary and we were very pleased we did.
Overall outstanding service and food!! Great to enjoy a amazing dinner and be able to have conversations without loud music and noise. The staff are amazing!
Our 25th wedding anniversary dinner, and it was fantastic. Ordered the platter for two- highly recommended. Wallace was an incredible waiter. Thanks for making it a very special night.
When booking I added a note asking that 4 glasses of champagne be delivered when were seated as a 52 yr anniversary was being celebrated. Unfortunately no one paid attention to our booking request. I ordered an old fashioned which came with 3/4 of a glass of bar ice. Food was creative.
