We had an early supper to meet my son and daughter in law for his birthday. None of us had been here before, and L Woods was great! The hostess actually read our requests in Open Table and we got the table of our choice. The four of us each had something different and it was all delicious. Steak, Turkey burger, brisket sandwich, bbq salmon all were happily consumed. The drink menu was tempting with traditional drinks featuring modern twists, but my DIL and I stuck to wine and we were pleased with our choices.

Amber was our friendly, cheerful, and very competent waitress and as she brought over my son’s birthday treat, she promised not to sing as he did not want this.

Even the bathrooms were very tidy and fresh.

All in all we will be back! Thanks L Woods - we enjoyed you.

Fun north woods supper club atmosphere with “comfort cuisine” to match. Service is very kind and accommodating. LETE restaurants are very sensitive to folks with dietary restrictions too, so I didn’t feel like I was missing out.

We were so happy with our most recent visit to L Woods. The establishment has taken great efforts to ensure safety for all guests and, as always, provides excellent service and food.

So nice to get out. Dinner at L. Woods was great, everyone was compliant re safety rules, and our waiter Jose could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Food was very good, especially the frozen Key Lime pie. They have added an automatic 5% surcharge to the bill in order to offset their 2020 losses, but we were happy to pay it.

The servers went above and beyond to be aware of my celiac / wheat allergy which is truly appreciated and uncommon. So thankful when it is safe and easy to eat out somewhere with out worrying! The steak was excellent and good value.

Surprised and a bit disappointed in the turkey club sandwich because I expected the usual toasted triangles and It was merely a large sandwich cut in half. However, Tomato Bisque lived up to expectstions.

My family and I were at L. Woods on Sunday, April 11th. We had a 6:00 p.m. reservation and were looking forward to the fried chicken special. Three out of four ordered the fried chicken and about 15 minutes later the manager appeared and said they ran out of chicken. We were very disappointed but nevertheless ordered something else. The kitchen was extremely slow and again the manager appeared and apologized for the long time and offered to comp us dessert which was appreciated. The waiter was wonderful so I have no fault there.

We were here on a Sunday night for dinner. The special was fried chicken. I ordered the chicken and my wife had the bbq salmon. Both were very good, but I felt $20.95 for half a chicken was a little high. The service was very good. I would go back just not sure I would get the chicken.

The food at L. Woods is always exceptional. I had a favorite, Mahogany Chicken, and as usual, it was superb. In the era of Covid, I was impressed with safety precautions that were taken by the restaurant, but not surprised. My experiences at all LEYE restaurants are always great, especially L. Woods.

Great food and great Covid protocols followed. The fish fry is so good. The skirt steak and the fried chicken breast were great as well.

Portion small. Should of had at cole slaw on the plate. Disappointing!!

L Wood is awesome and all the safety guards put in place is really impressive, especially the dividers between tables. Food and service was great.

I have been here many times and usually it’s very consistent and the food is fantastic. Tonight was not that experience unfortunately. My chicken came out undercooked. I asked for it to be cooked longer. The second one came out completely pink. They tried to tell me it was the lighting but this was more than the lighting. The thicker portion was medium raw at best. Then the manager said he would comp it and made it seem like a big deal. It made me uncomfortable.

As usual, the food was top notch. My wife and I had the Almond crusted Wall-eyed Pike with mashed potatoes, the best I’ve ever tasted! We highly recommend L Woods Pine Lodge and Tap as the best Wisconsin Supper Club experience in Illinois!

We stopped in for a late lunch. We had beef ribs ( excellent!) and breaded veal. Very generous portions. Good service even though very busy for a Wednesday at two!

L. Woods is our family favorite, for special occasions or any time. They are friendly, the food is always delicious, and the consistancey never changes. Family concensus on the way out is always "I'm glad you thought of L. Woods".

We had a wonderful waitstaff. I believe his name was Martin S. There was an incident in the kitchen and our food ended up needing to be re-cooked. The manager was most accommodating and comped us a round of drinks and a dessert. We had a lovely meal and everyone was most gracious!

Wonderful alternative to a supper club up north!

Excellent and friendly service. Food was a mixed bag. Salmon was way over cooked, dry, and burnt a large corner. French onion soup was tasty. Lemon cheesecake didn’t have any lemon flavor.

I think it’s time for a menu update. They took off some good items but what’s left isn’t really inspiring.

We felt very protected with safety precautions they have in place. Service and food were both excellent. It’s such a relaxing Atmosphere, we never felt rushed. Highly recommend.

Cheese curds were greasy. Food was warm, not hot. Server didn’t check if we needed anything else. I ordered fries, got chips. No bread was given, no condiments. Had to flag my server down to replace chips. My reservation was at 11:30 am, it wasn’t busy yet so there was no reason for the quality or
service to be subpar.

Went during Chicago's Restaurant Week. The choices were awesome and full size, and we had leftovers to bring home. I felt perfectly safe in covid times. When I dropped my mask on the floor, the waiter provided me with a new one. Food as good this time as it was over a year ago when I was last there.

Absolutely spectacular! French Onion Soup, Wings, Chopped Sirloin, Hammered Chicken, even the Onion Bread! Perfectly cooked, tasty and at a reasonable price!

We had an excellent server. Our food was fresh and delicious.

Maybe we came on an off night, but the food was very bland. We asked our server how the green beans were prepared and he said they were sauteed. However, once they arrived, it was clear they were steamed past the crisp point and no salt or lemon had been added. The Salt & Pepper were not on our table and my fiance's turkey burger came with no condiments. The whole thing was strange and it was hard to find our server when we needed things, so we ate the food without the flavor boosts.
