Always great food and terrific service. We also appreciate that our reservation time was kept. Keep up the great work!
We come here often for Sunday dinner, but were so disappointed this time. Both steaks at the table were not cooked to our requests, and because we were dining on the later side, we were subjected to all the cleaning of the restaurant (vacuuming, moving tables around) for the next day. Really distracting and unpleasant. We will not return at closing time again.
Good is always delicious and abundant! I always have leftovers. My favorites are the wedge salad and chicken and ribs combo. The meats are smoked to perfection and just melt in your mouth!
Country style food in a fishing lodge environment...delicious!
Delicious comfort food, large portions, great service, fun atmosphere.
Our experience at L Woods was good, but not great. I had the walleye fish & chips and found them bland and disappointing. My wife had the ribs and really liked them. Our server was good, but forgot the bread and seemed distracted (he was busy). We had a late dinner (after 8:00 pm), but it was still crowded and loud throughout. Overall, L Woods definitely lives up to its "Wisconsin supper club" vibe, but I doubt I'd try it again. Like I said, it was fine for one night, but nothing there makes we want to go back.
Had my birthday dinner here and they gave us the perfect booth and were so kind and attentive and the food is as always wonderful. Thk u
The last time my husband and I came here was about two years ago. The service was very pleasant and food was delicious as I remember. No doubt will be coming back sooner.
Always a pleasure, but could we suggest plain bread instead of the onion bread. Thanks!
Always a good place for lunch. Place has been open for 40 some years. Hasn’t lost a beat. Delicious!!
L Woods never disappoints. Been going there for years. Went on a Wednesday to get the fried pork tenderloin. Terrific. For the holidays, they have a cranberry mule. Do yourself a favor and order it.
Great food and service. Always has been. Open Table ... not so helpful when changing reservations. I had to call restaurant.
Always a great time at L Woods! Cocktails are fabulous & skirt steak is a must! I ordered the pounded chicken, not bad but could maybe use a little sauce?
Service is always impeccable & friendly.
Nice big booth, good food, attentive but not hovering nor chatty server. We had a wonderful time.
Great food great service
Late lunch with very good food and warm cozy lodge. Classic!!
My group was here for lunch and we had a great experience. We asked for a drink not on the menu and they were able to make it for us. The wait staff was very accommodating and the food was excellent.
Service was not as good as usual, a bit rushed. Waiter seemed overwhelmed. Food was excellent. We sat in the bar, which my friends like, but I like the main areas better. This was of course noisier.
First time here. Outstanding ribs!! Will definitely be back, with friends. Very busy, make a reservation!
Setting was nice - not too loud, family friendly, food was great (ratings are pretty accurate) and reasonably priced, our waiter was a bit slow but it was a busy night so I don’t blame him. Made a reservation through Open Table and then the restaurant called the morning of to confirm. They were able to acommodate a high chair and booster seat as requested on Open Table. Super easy and simple to make a reservation.
From drinks to special birthday treat, great as usual!
Our server, Jose, was the absolute best server I have had in years at any restaurant. Made the dinner so pleasant and enjoyable.
Have been going for years. Best bbq ribs around! Wouldn't order anything else but there are plenty of choices on the menu.
Enjoyed a nice dinner. Sat a table in the bar area. Much quieter & crowded. It was perfect
Our waiter was most accommodating and we both enjoyed our meals. Topped dinner off waits a piece
Of Key Lime Pie. Delicious. Going early is better than later. Lots of parking choices.
Insane awesome beef ribs
Melted in my mouth
Skirt steak was slightly undercooked
Sent back and was returned perfect
BBQ brisket burger was very good with a traditional old fashioned
Great food and service.
It's a great place for everyone. Been going for years and years.
The menu is limited if you are a vegetarian/vegan. They're trying but, really should up it with a few new items for that genre of diner.
The best. Cannot beat the white Fish. They do not rush you and you can stay all night and talk with your guests.
Mothers Birthdsy. She was well treated.
Great place to come for just about any occasion. I just love going there especially for lunch. It always has wonderful specials as well as good fish that I find perfectly done. Love that Log Cabin atmosphere.
Loved that we were seated earlier and that our waitress was so accommodating in not hurrying us! Unfortunately, we were seated in a booth of very talkative party of 4 so it wasn't so tranquil.
As usual the food was magnificent. As my husband said, we have never had a bad meal here. The only drawback of the evening was the less than attentive service. Our server was helpful and nice but we had a hard time getting her attention when we needed something and she really did not check on us that often. It was a Sunday evening and I know it was busy but it just was not our usual experience.
Our server Emily was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and never let us feel that she wasn't aware of where we were at in our meal and if we needed her (or another drink!). I had "Pounded Chicken a la Sima" sort of a personalized verson of Chicken Picata - fantastic! My friends had the "Walleye Fish and Chips" - huge service portion, and the trout (which I don't see on the online menu, but is on the printed menu) - declared also fantastic. The food is delicious, arrived hot to the table and very plentiful servings. Prices are very reasonable, and being a part of the Lettuce Entertain You, frequent diner club "Lettuce Eats" is wonderful - they're generous and it's easy to use. My two friends had been there many times before, this was my first time, but believe it...it won't be the last!!!
Everything was good . Food was delicious.
The risotto/barley combination that accompanied the filet special was not what we expected from risotto. It was not the texture of a creamy risotto-it similar to undercooked rice. Otherwise, everything else was great.
We love this place - it consistently has great food and great service. On this occasion we had Caleb as a server and he took such good care of us - he was very attentive and friendly. We had the brisket burger and the prime rib. Both were cooked as ordered and were very good. Portions were good. You can't go wrong eating here.
We dined here on a Friday night and it was very energetic and loud. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed our food very much. The apple strudel we shared for dessert was awesome!
