L. Woods Tap and Pine Lodge
Need to book at 6:15 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Since this was our first date I thought it would be the perfect setting. The food was amazing as always!
Amazing fish and almond crusted fish and filet medallions were fabulous. Great waitress fabulous ambiance
Just a word of warning: I tried to change my reservation from 2 people to 5 people. The truth was that they did not have a table of 5 at the time I requested. But the open table app doesn't tell you that, it acts as if you don't know how to modify your reservation. When I called, the manager told which times we were available and I changed the time, which worked out fine.
I was really disappointed with my steak. I ordered a bone in ribeye cooked medium. The cost was $42.00. My steak was smaller than something I would find in my local grocery store and my steak was cooked well. It was very surprising considering the price they charged. I expected something closer to a steak house quality but I was sadly mistaken. I will never order that again!
Celebrated two birthdays. As always, the food was outstanding!
One of my favorite go to spots. Always excellent food, great service and warm comfortable ambiance
Server was not engaged in following up. Food is OK but pricey for entrees. Had the apple strudel for dessert and was too sweet.
If you love a cozy, lodge-y, supperclub sort of place… this totally fits the bill! It's welcoming & warm as soon as you enter. The bar area is fun & not too loud. We decided to eat there for good people watching. The food was fab… I had the cheese-crusted filet medallion special… the beef was like butter and cooked perfectly. And who doesn't love creamy mashed potatoes! Our calamari appetizer was good too. My husband had the almond crusted walleye, which was great too… shades of Door County! We didn't make it to dessert but they sure sounded good. We'll definitely be back.
Our server was excellent!!! Food was good but my baby back ribs which I usually love, were somewhat dry, overcooked & tough tonight. The others ordered daily specials & were very pleased!
It was my birthday dinner with my son. Opted for seating at a table in the bar area at 3:00 pm. Waitress interested in taking our food order right away. We opted for beverages instead. We then waited 45 minutes to have her show up for our food order. They new it was my birthday celebration because I put that into the Open Table reservation. No recognition of that fact at the meal or afterwards. Worse experience there ever.
great walleye sandwich. great service. nice northwoods atmosphere.
Just a wonderful spot to take friends for a great meal. Comfortable and great menu. Never disappointed!
Special restauarant week meal: mini- crab cakes - outstanding with celery and mustard mayonnaise. Crabcakes should be available year round. They are terrific! French onion soup -always a treat. Whitefish with special Door county cherry sauce. Strawberry lemonade. Goldbrick sundae.
Attentive service. Busy President's day. Parking was hard to find.
Great place to entertain out of town guests for a Wisconsin supper club experience.
Were there for lunch. Hostess was dismissive, waiter was friendly, food was average. Decor was great. Good coffee. Deserts were frozen solid.
Consistent. Walleye is always good. Great service and reasonably priced drinks.
Service was slow this time. Water glasses were not filled and we had to ask for bread. Otherwize, the food is always good, especially the meals with Walleye Pike. One of the few restaurants where you can also get BBQ beef ribs.
Nice place!! A good amount of food for the price! Very popular
My family has been dining at L.Woods since I was a child (mod 80's). I now dine at L Woods with my own family and friends. L.Woods never disappoints. Highly recommend L.Woods over any steak house in Chicago or burbs.
Amber was a friendly server who provided the perfect amount of attention to our table. Great supper club food.
The meal was excellent as usually. we were use to making reservation and getting seat. this time we had to wait 10 mins before we got seated. Also our meal came out in the middle of still eating our soup which never happened before. I will still come back. I love your Prime Rib. I don't think I've ever had anything else there.
On a Saturday arriving at 4:20 pm, the restaurant was half full.
By the time my wife and I left at 5:30 pm, all tables were filled with a crowd of patrons that overflowed into the bar area while waiting for a table. Reservations should surely be made to expedite a nice dinner.
Our waiter, Luis, was very accommodating with quick service.
The Brisket Sandwich and the BBQ Pulled Pork were delicious along with the perfectly cooked fries.
Fries were crisp and not greasy. You must ask for condiments as none were on any tables. Brisket was tender with no remnants of fat, and it was ample to fill me comfortably. Pulled pork was tender and as tasted good as any other pulled pork sandwich. It's hard to screw up a pulled pork sandwich. Booths are a little tight if you are a medium to larger sized man. Recommend a table if that is the case. Warm lighting served a nice ambiance to the richness of the wooden surroundings of the log cabin style. Overall, L. Woods was an enjoyable dining experience that I would recommend for a casual dinner out.
the beef ribs here are unbelievable. they are still staying awesome ribs that my girlfriend has enjoyed 4 over 25 years. service is exactly the same as it was for me 30 years ago. waiter we had was incredible friendly and helpful. I must tell you this place gets busy extremely quick. It is best to make a reservation using this app guarantee your seating without any long wait. the great thing about this restaurant is its diversity. you can have not just great ribs but incredible prime rib and filet mignon and chicken and fish all cooked to perfection and the way you would like it. they do have a vegetarian option or two including a vegetarian burger. they also have great drinks and drink specials. and it's also a great place to bring the kids. there is a lot of history here as you will see lots of pictures of customers from their many years of business in Lincolnwood. any restaurant that can last over 30 years in a city and still be as incredibly good as it was back then is well worth a try. bon Appétit!
George was an amazing, engaging professional server. Totally added to our experience!
One of our favorite restaurants! Service is consistent and management is wonderful and always providing a personnel touch
We requested a booth at reservation and we were seated near the bar. Once we requested stable in the actual dining area we recurved a tiny table near a cold drafty back door. Very disappointed in an otherwise wonderful establishment.
We sat at the bar and had dinner & drinks. Very relaxing the bartenders were awesome. L.Woods is my one of my top 5 restaurants!!
Made reservations a month before Valentine’s Day. The hostess was going to seat us in another room, not the bar as indicated on our reservation. We ended up at a table in the bar looking at the takeout swinging door. A little disappointed since we had made reservations far in advance.
However our waitstaff was excellent as was the food.
Great food, slow service but very nice staff.
We come here about once a month. The shrimp app is amazing. The cocktail sauce is out of this world with the horseradish! Yum! Our favorite is the fish fry or ribs! Delish! Casual atmosphere. Always super busy! Make a reservation! Open table is a must for this restaurant!
everything is very good to come back like this thanks thank you very good I recommend everything.
Great night, great meal, we had fillet, salmon, skirt steak, cheese curds, shrimp, good horseradish dip, we had super friendly service with Kaylee
Well...first of all, we had a reservation at a bar table, but they didn't have a table for us. We had to wait...not long, but we had to wait. Interestingly, the table next to us received a 'reserved ' sign...when I asked why that table could be treated that way, I got a non answer, answer...ie, double talk. The manager offered to comp us on part of our meal...and did, but I found him to be poorly trained as far as complaint resolution. Next, my husband only ate 1/2 of his dinner and requested to take home leftovers. When we didn't receive our 'doggie bag', upon inquiring we were told it was tossed and they would make another for us to take home. We did receive a lovely meal...it just didn't happen to be what my husband ordered...oh well..I'm sure it is good. Anyway all of this aside, the food and cocktails were delish. Our meals arrived in a timely fashion.
Great food great service every time. Always a great meal cooked the way you want it
They have good dinner specials and service is always on point.
A neighborhood gem - food is consistently delicious and the service, very attentive. I've been dining
here for more than 25 years and have never been disappointed. Keep up the fabulous attention to
Had a nice evening. Food was good.
A great place to go and the food is always consistently good. Staff is very nice! Probably the best barbecued baby back ribs in Chicago!
