L. Woods Tap and Pine Lodge
As always a great experience. Our server Flavio was excellent. The filet was cooked perfectly and the parmesan crust was a perfect match.
Went in on Sunday for the fried chicken (Sunday only), asked waiter right away since we had a 7:30 reservation, was told there was 7 orders left. 20 minutes later a manager came and said there was only 1 order left. Disappointed that they would run out!
Had great time food was great but need more light to see the menu.
Love LWoods. Great food. Friendly service. Recommend
$100+ for a fish fry is way too much money.
First time diners. Consumed turkey burger and the Friday Fish special. Both were excellent. Low key atmosphere.
I always love L. Woods. I am a regular. Our server was particularly wonderful this time, but I don't remember her name. Dang. I usually get the barbeque salmon if I'm there for dinner, which is always a good idea. Oh, one thing. The key lime pie was too cold--almost frozen. We loved everything thing else, and we even loved the pie once it got a little less frozen.
Very good for a group luncheon because the food is good. Noise level is high with so many tables close to each other, but we come back because of the quality of food as well as the variety. Something for everybody
We really like this restaurant. Consistently good food and service. Also like the ambiance inside. Bar area pretty good for watching sports and having a bite to eat.
The food is always delicious. Love the chopped salad.
L. Woods had listed St. Patrick's week specials -3/11/3/18/19. On 3/18 they
had run out of their Reuben rolls, Bailey's cream pie. They did not plan to have more, since this is
the last day of the special. That is disappointing if you
made a reservation for some of these specials and make a special trip because of the advertising. Do not mislead. Corned beef was a solid meal with cabbage.
We celebrated my daughter’s 30th birthday! We had salmon, brisket, barbecue chicken and ribs. Everything was delicious and served was good. Always a good meal at L. woods!
We were placed in the back of the bar area. It was a closed off space with poor ventilation. The noise volume was pretty high so it wasn't easy to have a conversation. I would have preferred to be in the main dining area. I thought the food was average. While I'm a member of Lettuce Entertain You, I don't think I'll be going back to L.Woods again.
Great food and great severance a reasonable price!!!!!
We had a large group of nine people. Food was great as usual but service was a bit slow and the kitchen had some problems so Appetizer came out with main dishes. They comped them without us asking which was great and not surprising from typically good place.
After driving past many times we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Food was very good and service was excellent.
Love this place. Always have really great service. My boyfriend loves the beef ribs and I always get some type of chicken dish. Love the warm bread to start and they have some tasty appetizers and soups.
Food and drink is good, however L Woods is quite popular and we had to wait 10 min for a table this past Saturday despite having a reservation
Service was excellent and the food delicious. My husband loved the fish & chips and the chicken sandwich was fantastic. What is also great is they have gluten free options.
Megan was wonderful, the food was delicious!
Casual dining in an atmosphere like a North Woods cabin, if you like that kind of dark pine atmosphere.
Our reservation seating was right on time. The server was friendly and competent, although at times he disappeared for longer than expected.
The menu is varied, and the food consistently okay for family fair. I know it's Wisconsin influenced, but a few more healthy options would be great.
Drink pours are good.
High energy and some noisy groups. Parking lot is sometimes filled on weekends. We parked on the street nearby.
Friendly service, amazing food and comfortable atmosphere
Always good comfort food, served in a pleasant atmosphere
From appetizer to dessert, the meal was wonderful. We go back time after time.
Great food, great service- neighborhood gem
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Our new favorite!!! Great service, delicious food, good cocktails, delightful ambience! Can’t wait to bring friends here!!!
Always a treat for us to go.Consistent service, ambiance, food prep and delivery to table. Servers always on top of your needs.
I’ve been going to this restaurant a lot but for some reason the lady keeps forgetting or taking a long time to deliver little things that we ask , good food
L. Woods is a great throwback to the supper clubs I used to visit with my parents in WI and the UP of MI. Sure the prices were higher but we are comparing Chicago to WI and the 2010's to the 1970's. I finally went on a non-Friday during Lent (Friday night Lake Perch fries are amazing!) and could try their Prime Rib. Unfortunately, at my 8:30 arrival they were sold out of the beef succulence I desired. I couldn't decide if I wanted the beef ribs or a steak. I told this to our server and he went and asked the chef if I could substitute the steak for the chicken on their combo plate. He returned with great news and I had a plate of beef with a side of beef! Both items were great and the skirt steak was properly cooked and well seasoned. I will be returning to L. Woods at an earlier time on a Saturday to someday tackle the Prime Rib.
Our server was excellent - best I’ve had in a while. Attentive without being pushy and made good recommendations.
Our server brought the bread, but we had to ask for the plates. She slung the stack of plates on the table so hard that they bounced! The bus boys were on the spot, not so much our server. I had the pepper steak and it was way too salty. My companions both enjoyed their meals (prime rib and Chicken ala Sima). Next time I come I will ask to be seated in a different section to avoid that server. She took so long to bring our check even after I asked for it.
Sambuca after dinner drink less then a shot $11.50 outragesus price.Never order a drink again
Very popular place, and for good reason. Everything on the menu is delicious and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Make sure you have a reservation before you go, though.
We always enjoy "visiting the north woods" at L. Woods. If you've ever been to northern Wisconsin this is a dead ringer for the supper clubs up there. The ambiance, food and service are wonderful. The menu is perfect for this type of atmosphere. A special thank you to the management for going out of your way for my request. You can't miss with L. Woods. A very special place in a world cluttered with mundane sports bars and counter eat and go spots.
Always excellent. Very popular so need reservations. Highly recommend
One of our favorite places to go.
The service is always top notch.
The food is consistently off the charts good.
Great food at great prices! I know that I am not the only one with this opinion. The proof is in the parking lot. The ribs (beef and pork) are fantastic and when you added a twice baked potato as a side you've got a memorable feast.
L. Woods always delivers; great food, friendly staff. I had two infants in high chairs at the table, and the staff was so kind and patient with all of us!
The food is always delicious. The restaurant was pretty fullSo our waiter was very busy.
