Everything was excellent....only suggestion is to have a loud appearance when celebrating someone’s birthday. Sapporo’s has a group singing with drums & lots of instruments make a ruckus.
My husband and I were disappointed, the appetizers (shrimp) was dry and had no flavor. The Lobster was also dry along with our Chef. Portions were small. And my steak was over cooked
Our cook lacked the entertainment value and personality.
Our first time at Kyoto Palace. We arrived early and were seated almost immediately, we had a very attentive waiter and our Chef was great, alot of Fun. Great Food. We'll be back.
Our chef has no personality which was disappointing because every other time we have been there we got someone who was extremely entertaining.
Really enjoyed this place. The food and the service was wonderful. Will CERTAINLY return again!
Chef could have been more energetic like the other tables chef
So...I made reservations at Kyoto for v day,
I showed up on time the front desk said I had to wait an hour for a reservation. What's the point of reserving a table if I have to wait an hour to be seated.
This is my favorite place. Great service. Great food. Great environment.
Amazing time with amazing food!
This is one of my favorite spots however i came here on the 13th of. Feb. And the guy cooking our food i feel like didnt give me the proper portions for what I had ordered I do have a shrimp allergy so I know they cook my food before anyone else but when I got my vegetables and meat they seemed skimpt compared to previous times or anyone else at my table. It wasnt until i paid my bill when i realized that i got ripped off
The only way to describe our experience it's FUN.
Fun environment to take the family for birthday! Kids think it’s great entertainment.
The noise level was unbearable! No privacy, no walls between tables. Felt light cattle put tightly in room. Waiter placed clean dishes for next group on our table even before cleaning it and before we left! Not going back!
First time there love teppanyaki cooking, will be back. Our server was very attentive where you never waited for anything. This particular chef was a little dry with his sense of humor but we had a great time
Was really disappointed in the lack of experience or maybe just lazy chef. When you go to Kyoto Palace, you're paying for the cooking "show" as much as the food. We felt it was pretty sad compared to what we've seen in the past. Food was good, but that alone is not worth the price with such a crappy chef!
We celebrate every year for our birthdays. Our chef was funny, personable and kind. Food is good. Value is OK. It is a little hectic, but that is part of the fun. We appreciate the efforts of the staff to make it feel "special" for our family.
It was awesome I love the food here
We checked in and were sat approx. 30 min after our schwduled time. We also were crammed into a table. A party of 2 wanted to add a 2rd which Kyoto palace did for them. Their convenience became our inconvenience. Just a bit rude.
The thing that struck me was that the table across from us had 3 open seats and the guests at that table had not ordered yet. We had just ordered. Seems to me that it would've been very easy to move them to that table.
The Chef looked very tired and did not have that warm welcome. I had to do all the talking and tried to make him put on a smile since it was my son's birthday. I wanted a nice experience for him but look like we're are coming back again. Service was horrible, slow and too busy to ask us if we need anything, instead we have to hunted down for the servers. Everything was not as I expected like 10yrs ago.
My wife has a food allergy...
She is allergic to mushroom... the chef made sure to completely cook all
Of her food before a mushroom ever hit the grill... much appreciated
This is my third time here and the ambiance is fun and loud. But this go around I had the shrimp and squid dinner with one beer and water. After about 10 minutes of leaving the restaurant my stomach got real loud and quite painful. I was in the bathroom 6-7 times over the next three hours and laid I bed from 7pm to the next morning feeling like I at something really bad. I clearly ate something bad here. I think this is a great alternative to Benihana but myself and my daughter have left here with significant stomach pains and will no longer dine here.
one word..AWSOME.from the bottom to the top.. cant wait to come back..Oh qnd ig its your Birthday make sure you bring your crew and turn it up! That's all I'm sayin'
Usually a great go to spot for Birthdays. I feel like they are riding their reputation. Chef should be a HUGE showman and our guy was not!
Service was slow, with EVERYTHING, our birthday person was COMPLETELY blown off. Even if we don't want ice cream we should get the birthday part for the guy with the birthday.
Overall my worst Kyoto experience and very pedestrian.
Benihana's would have been a better choice.
Classic teppanyaki, but our onion volcano failed to steam and there was no chicken from an egg cookin’ artwork. Still fun to enjoy.
Just enjoy the restaurant. Lots of fun
I had a party of 11 , and it just wasn’t comfortable seating for that many . We barely were able to eat , some of us had to eat with our plates in our hands
But as always the food was delicious
It’s great fun but getting tired. Havnt been for about 5 years but bar area has no ambience , the whole place just seems ready for an upgrade
Been to Kyoto before and I wasn’t really impressed but our last visit was excellent food, service and it was really fun for our grandsons birthday. I was very impressed with the food quality and how quickly we got our food. Definitely returning.
