The food was amazing as always! You won’t be disappointed.
Kyoto is a wonderful experience. The food is always excellent and the service never disappoints.
Always so happy with my experience here! Looking forward to coming again
We always come here when we visit Salt Lake and the U. Always consistently great!
Always a fantastic experience!
this is the best japanese food in salt lake city, utah
I really like this place, but we may have gotten a new server. He was nice but disappeared a lot, slow service.
Kyoto is always wonderful. Best place in Salt Lake!
Love Kyoto. Great food and wonderful people. Nice relaxing atmosphere and very clean
Kyoto is my fave Japanese restaurant and it was soooo good to be able to go OUT to dinner on Mother’s Day. Food was wonderful as usual and our masked server was very attentive and kind. The restaurant had taken all the necessary precautions and we all felt at ease and safe
We had a wonderful meal with our family of four. Three of the four of us were from out of town. Our server Ping was personable, efficient, and provided such excellent service.
The meals we had were delicious and bountiful.
I recommended Kyoto to a couple friends the day after our dinner. We would certainly visit Kyoto again the next time we are in Salt Lake City.
Delicious every time. Peggy, Marlene and Adison are amazing sushi chefs who are happy to introduce us to new dishes that bring us out of our comfort zone.
The food was authentic, delicious, and plentiful-huge portions for the combination dinners. Nice selection of sakes. Service was prompt and friendly and parking was adequate.
Been here in the past and it’s been decent. Went there on Valentine’s Day with a 930 reservation and the server, Hong, clearly wanted to get out by closing. She was rude and at some points nasty, rushed us through the entire meal, and basically would have ruined our evening had we not gone someplace else after. If a restaurant wants to stop serving immediately upon closing, the time hey shouldn’t take reservations as late as they did. I won’t be going back again.
The food here is excellent! Very high quality and fresh fish for the sushi. The service was slow, but our waitress was nice enough and the quality of food made up for the service.
Incredible combinations and exceptional quality. Would recommend and definitely return.
Great food. The teriyaki dishes are excellent. He udon is awesome too. Huge size....enough for 2
The highlight was our entrees which were delicious. I ordered the Combination Dinner with Gyukatsu and Beef Sukiyaki. They were both amazing and I’d absolutely order them again. My husband got the Tonkatsu and the Salmon Teriyaki which he also enjoyed. He said “4 stars.”
We ordered a couple specialty drinks. The Momo was good. My husbands drink was the Yugao and it was weird. My husband thought it tasted like a tire. I thought it tasted like you were drinking a flower.
We also ordered the gyoza for a starter and it was also very good.
Our server was very kind and attentive.
We will definitely go back.
I noticed that lots of local Japanese families eat there. That's the best review of all I think.
Kyoto is as consistent as anything can come. It is appreciated. Fish is fresh, menu items are delicious, and staff is attentive.
The Kyoto is one of our longstanding favorite restaurants! The food is delicious every single time! The service is friendly and excellent!
We highly recommend it for a romantic date....dinner with friends...or a family occasion with children.
Happy New Year!

The sushi was good, but we had to ask for the sushi sauce. The parking is very bad. There's not enough spaces and pulling out was very tight. No one wants to walk from the over flow parking lot.
Kyoto is a good, accessible Japanese restaurant in SLC!
One of our all-time favorite restaurants in Salt Like City!!
This restaurant was small but cozy and still comfortable. The food was delicious.
Food and service were excellent!! Best sushi!!
Can be a unsettling if busy and fun folks and servers keep crowding by your table
Very good atmosphere
My favorite sushi in SLC.
We love Kyoto, it's been a long-time favorite in our family for wonderful Japanese food in the Salt Lake area. The service is always incredible, too.
Very authentic, good quality, and so very reasonably priced.... we would return as would the local couple we were with. Arigato!
We come here often. The food and service can’t be beat!
Kyoto is always good. The food was good, fresh and tasty.
If I am to critique anything, it would be the rushing to get the order in. My date was a few minutes late and she hardly had her coat off when the server was asking what she wanted. Same thing two minutes later.
Great food and service.
Exceptional as usual. I would eat there everyday if my wife would let me
We've been dining at Kyoto for many, many years. It's a favorite place & they never disappoint.
Great food and atmosphere
Some of the best sushi I have ever had and I have had a lot of sushi
Always great. I’ve never been disappointed. I’m an original customer from when I think the chef who opened Kyoto had just left The Makado. Tada was his name if that’s not the correct spelling. It’s a great fine quality restaurant. My last visit was particularly good. Really great service and fresh hot food. Perfect tempura. My sister was here from Virginia and just loved our early dinner.
Thanks for being consistent in all areas of a good dining experience.
