Kyma - Atlanta
Wonderful preparation and presentation. Fish was excellent and service was impeccable.
The waiter was awful. They put wrong food in front of each of us and then had to pick it up and move to correct person. The waiter treated us as if we had done something to make him mad. 2 of the 4 of us had to send back because under cooked. Other 2 were finished eating before food came back. No apology, no offer for dessert, no anything. Will not be going back to kyma.
Had a wonderful dinner. Very nice place. I will go again
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal as well as the service at Kyma. The only annoying thing was two gentlemen seated at the bar talking loudly and dropping F-BOMBS every other sentence.
Excellent Greek/Middle Eastern Food. If you like this type of food, Kyma is for you.
Terrific food and service. Some twists on Greek food. Very tasty. Great bar and atmosphere. I’ll be back
Great food and service. Haven’t been in a long time but will return soon bc the fish was outstanding!
Our server was attentive without being overbearing. The food was better than expected, truly delicious. The restaurant is lovely and was quiet enough for conversation without being too quiet! I would recommend Kyma without hesitation.
The food was amazing and authentic!
The price is high but except for that it was really good restaurant
went to kyma's for a belated fathers day dinner. as always, hubby was very happy since he loves the menu. we wouldn't tell him where we were going. my son, his first visit and not a fish eater and i both had the lamb chops, very good. my daughter had the arctic char, which is very much like a salmon which is right up her alley was delicious. the appetizers spreads are always a crowd pleaser and being a greek, spanakopita is always a memory. must have the grilled octopus . even my son, the non fish lover enjoyed the dish. hubby loved the cinnamon ice cream on his molten dessert, my son the white chocolate brownie special and ahh, those donuts to share ! thanks for a great family dinner...
Excellent food and service. Vegan and vegetarian menu. Great atmosphere.
We usually enjoy this restaurant but did not like the Sunday menu for Father's Day. Most entrees were by the pound rather than per item. It was very limited compared to the usual menu. We will probably not go back on a Sunday.
Solid 4-star experience.
Fresh fish and great food in a fun environment. Service was not to the standard of other like restaurants. Wine list is limited - mainly Greek wines. Pricey but excellent seafood.
Luna always excels with octopus, but this night was the best of any octopus dish I’ve had anywhere!
Overall the restaurant interior was very inviting and charming. The staff were quite attentive, and there was a good attention to detail in the presentation of the food. We started with the variety of spreads on pita - spreads were good, the pita was excellent. They offered a deep fried version of calamari which was tender and tasty, and the eggplant appetizer was wonderful. Surprisingly the main fish course was our least favorite. Cooked just a bit too long and not as moist as expected. But overall, a very solid dinner.
I was disappointed after reading so many positive reviews. Service was good. Food was not bad, but nothing special.
The vegan options at Kyma are wonderful. It's the only restaurant that I'm aware of in the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group that has a special vegan menu.
It was a nice dinner
We had a lovely time. I wouldn't change a thing. I loved that they seated my husband and me in a romantic booth for our date night that we listed as our occasion on the open table reservation. It was nice that they remembered and noted that. The ambiance is very nice and reminds one of being in a blue and white seaside Santorini restaurant or on a cruise ship. The white wine that my server recommended was excellent. She helped us with the menu and made suggestions which we greatly appreciated. The fish we ordered was excellent. We both liked our selections. Our server was patient and helpful and very attentive, we both thought she was very good. The portions are small but delicious and appropriate. We had a beautiful evening, I loved everything about being there and look forward to coming back again.
Absolutely magnificent dinner of Greek gourmet specialties as hors d'oeuvres and the perfect Arctic Char as the main course, followed by delicious Greek cookies. Greek wines were superb. A fabulous dinner and elegant evening with incomparable service. Susan Tucker
Appetizers okay...dinner Food not that great especially at those prices...overrated
Our meal was very tasty. We also enjoyed the attention given by the servers. The act of removing the spines from our fish at the table was a great experience.
We went for our Anniversary! The food was delicious, the service was great and the waiter was fabulous!! It is our new number 1 restaurant in Atlanta!!!
We had another wonderful meal to celebrate my birthday . The food, service remain one of the best in Atlanta ga. We love to sample a lot of the small plates, and finish off with the lamb chops.
The lighting at the table at which we were seated was very dim except for one corner on one side of the table for 4. This made reading the small print menu very difficult for the people seated in the dark parts of the table. The lighting could definitely be turned up (added to) without seriously affecting the ambiance.
The whole fish was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent. Will definitely go back
Kim and Niko were superb servers, knowledgeable and attentive. Great evening.
Kyma is always a pleasant experience for my husband and me! The restaurant's service and food are excellent!
We had good service and delicious food. Grilled prawns were cooked properly as was my husband's grilled fish. Eggplant stew was good as always. Delicious, affordable Greek white wine. My husband received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. Enjoyed our evening.
Lovely evening on the patio. Food was outstanding!
Great food, service, and atmosphere, by far my Wife's favorite restaurant.
Terrific attention to detail by our server. We were guided through the menu and wine list expertly and were allowed to 'customize' our meals. First visit and we look forward to going back.
All great except seeing the lobsters having to lie on the bitter cold ice.
According to Reuters, on Friday, Italy’s highest court ruled that lobsters should not be kept on ice while awaiting their turn on someone’s dinner plate. The case stemmed from a complaint by an animal rights group against a restaurant near Florence that it said inhumanely stored its live lobsters this way. The court agreed that this method caused unnecessary suffering. “While the particular method of cooking can be considered legal by recognizing that it is commonly used, the suffering caused by detaining the animals while they wait to be cooked cannot be justified in that way,” the judges reportedly wrote. The restaurant owner was ordered to pay a 2,000 euro fine as well as 3,000 euros in legal fees.
Found Kyma on Open Table for a late evening dinner. The food was a solid, modern take on Greek food. We tried the tasting menu for two. They Spicy Lamb Pie and Spanakopita mezze were excellent. We choose the turbot for our main course, which was flaky and perfectly seasoned. Our waitress was a combination of attentive (during the beginning of the meal) to non-existent (towards the end as the restaurant closed.) The wine list was excellent and the time between servings was spot on.
Couple of caveats. I'd put this on the $$ to $$ cost range. (Believe it's mislabelled on Yelp and Open Table.) Valet parking is available in front, but they will let you park towards the backside of the building for free if you want or miss the entrance like we did. Dressier than we were used to coming from the SF Bay Area. The interior rocked a 1980s chic without feeling dated, including a waterfall and ice display behind the hostess stand with live lobster and octopus. (Not my favorite way to start a meal.)
Overall, a positive experience, but I'd save it for those days when I have something to celebrate or I'm trying to impress someone with an old-school flair.
The salt crusted sea bass was very good.
Booked reservations for my aunt’s 75th birthday celebration. She and three others attended and she stated they loved Kyma. Kyma made her special day remarkable. She is looking forward to coming back.
Excellent - as always. I'm never disappointed.
Fabulous food, drinks and ambiance. The staff were fantastic. Definitely going back. The Fish and the octopus were perfectly made and very tasty.
It was my husbands birthday we enjoyed our meal and the special birthday treat. My husband didn’t like his fish as they change it with a heart beat
