Kyma - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
Had a lovely dining experience pre-symphony. Everything was served at perfect temperature and doneness. We
enjoyed appetizers of dolmades and spanakopitas. The entrees of halibut, lamb shank and lamb chops were all delicious.
We did have coffee, but no dessert that evening. Maybe next time...
Great service and ambiance.
My husband and I had a great meal at Kyma. It had been a long time since we'd been, and we will definitely return. Olivia, our server, absolutely made the meal. She was attentive but not overly so; she answered questions we had about the menu as if we were the only couple in the place, giving us her time and attention. She spoke with passion about the menu and really helped us create a perfect dining experience.
Superb! We've always enjoyed Kyma but this meal was exceptional even though fairly simple. The octopus appetizer is always great as were the other apps. We all had Dover sole and agreed that it was one of the finest entrees any of us had had anywhere, anytime. Like most of their fish dishes, it is wood-grilled and flavored with olive oil and lemon. Like I said---simple---but perfect. The side of kale was long-simmered and similarly flavored. The prices are similar to some steakhouses but this was as satisfying as any Chateaubriand with Bearnaise---just a lot simpler.
I loved Kyma. The waiter was great, very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu.
The food was amazing. The grilled octopus and the roasted oysters were especially delicious.
We had the skate and halibut and both were perfectly prepared. Even the cocktails were inventive and very tasty. The whole meal was very enjoyable.
I can’t wait to go back.
The food outstanding as always, the service very poor, the waiter smiled very little, took forever to bring the wine and plates accumulated on the table and nobody seemed to care . To make things worse an obnoxious lady sitting next to us threw a glass of water at one of her friends splashing all of us at my table. Never in my life had an experience like this at a restaurant. I hope they have their names and never let them in again .
Small plates and Greek salad were the best I've ever had. We ordered lobster for our main course and left with more than enough room for dessert at home. The kale that was served with the lobster was too heavy with the lemon.
Service was slow which was OK. We did not feel rushed at all. But we waited too long for our entree to arrive.
Arrived at restaurant a little early. Was seated within five minutes. Hostess was cordial.
Waitstaff was excellent. Kyma's menu is a little challenging in trying to judge how much to order. But waiter was extremely patient and helpful.
Octopus and cheese were exceptional. Roasted oysters were not cooked at all. Greek salad was good but not remarkable. Ambiance was good, and we were seated at a nice table in the corner.
Overall experience was good.
The food was awful. We went for a birthday dinner. The octopus would have had no taste without the marinade and the saginaki was cold. The norm is to light it up and add a squeeze of lemon. No pita came with it, that was extra. However, the pomegranate drink was good. This is the second time we have been. I thought it was just an off night the first time but it was still terrible. It’s very expensive and not a good value. We will not be returning. We left and went next door to Fogo.
As always, dinner at Kyma was exceptional! The food, service, wine, and atmosphere always meet every expectation. The fish was so fresh and delicious, it litterly melted in our mouths. The baby beet salad is probably the best in all of Atlanta! You can’t go wrong with anything at Kyma!
Arrived early so chose to have a drink at bar. Bartender was the best at making drink suggestions, including wine. After being seated at one of the best tables, Corey arrived and was the best waiter. He provided a thorough but quick summary of menu...with solid descriptions and diet options. Food was wonderful! Presentation was tops! I would recommend Kyma!
This was a birthday meal with two people. We tried the tasting menu. The spreads with warm pita were a great way to start the meal. You then get to choose four mezes. The dolmades were the best that I have ever tasted. Their flavor was fresh and rich. Next, we had the roasted oysters. They were actually our least favorite part of the meal but they were still delicious. Hands down, our favorite dish was the lamb pie. It was amazing! Our last meze was the cheese and mushroom dish. It was good but extremely rich. We chose the sea bream as our entree. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious. If you try the tasting menu, my advice is to skip lunch, because you will be full.
First, it is a nice-looking place--not formal but no place for sloppy casual clothes. The food was great, as well as the service. We loved their encouragement to share half-size portions of their appetizer menu. We got to try an assortment of tasty offerings.
Our experience was phenomenal! We enjoyed grilled octupus, scallops with butternut squash, Tuna tartare with quinoa, Artic char, lamb chops and so much more! Clearly the best meal we have ever had, Taylor Young treated us so amazing we can not wait to return. We clearly will recommend Kyma to everyone who is in Atlanta! A must visit! Thank you to our fabulous server who was fabulous as well!
