Kyma - Atlanta
Kyma offers fantastic options for semi-private dinner parties, and private luncheons. Kyma is a contemporary Greek seafood tavern like no other. The cuisine is inventive yet approachable that is true to its Mediterranean origin. Kyma is dramatic, with a dazzling display of constellations on the deep blue ceiling, white marble columns and a bold fresh fish display. The welcoming patio, with its plush furniture and white linen curtains, offers the ideal setting to savor a glass of Greek wine and Kyma’s array of appetizers. Fresh, healthful food, attentive Greek hospitality and festive atmosphere await at Kyma.View Private Dining Details
Our waitress had to leave and we were turned over to a male waiter who seemed more focused on the table next to is. We felt overlooked after our waitress left.
Excellent every time!
Exceptionally high end Greek cuisine that is as close to being in Greece as it comes. The experience and quality has not diminished since Kyma has opened; my wife and I have never been disappointed. Our family and friends from Greece have been amazed at the authenticity of the food in its preparation, taste and presentation.
They cannot believe that they would find Greek food of such high standard in the USA.
Delicious! Must haves include - the Lamb Shank, the Lamb Chops and the Eggplant Stew! The Greek Fries are not worth the calories!😊 Look forward to our return!👍
The food and ambiance at the restaurant was very good. The service was excellent. It is a nice restaurant for a date or for celebrating an anniversary. The fish is all imported from different places such as Greece, Iceland, Maine, and other places.
Allison was awesome. We came for the octopus...not disappointed.
My best friend and I were celebrating getting new jobs. The experience was absolutely wonderful Christyana was amazing as always! I will request her every time I dine there. The food was amazing!
Our waitress was outstanding. Very knowledgeable of and helpful with the menu and great attention to every detail.
Kyma was fantastic as usual. The wine was great. The mezze's were creative and tasty, and the fish is to die for. We tried the lemon potatoes for the first time. They are a great compliment to the fish!
This was my second visit to Kyma. Wait service was excellent. Noted that I had to self park after sitting at the valet station for a few minutes with no one coming out. That being said, on both of my visits I was disappointed with the food. I participate in the Buckhead Restaurant Summer dinning program. We were so disappointed in our food at Kyma the first year that we switched our cards last year to one of the other restaurants. We were told this year that switching was no longer allowed. Because we enjoy the program and all of the other restaurants we came back to Kyma and was disappointed with the food once again. I don't mind paying for great food but I feel like I was cheated for the price I paid for food that was just ok.
We had a wonderful celebration. Food and service spectacular. Love Octopus and dirty martini. We’ll save $ for awhile and come back. How can 2 people spend $200👏👍😋❤️
Celebrated husband’s birthday. Wonderful food and service! Many happy birthday wishes by entire staff too made it a great experience!
This is my favorite place to go for the food. It was my birthday and we had a great time! However, there was something odd about the service that evening. We were greeted at our table by three different people. A woman who had greeted us disappeared right after. We also saw management apologizing to other tables for their wait. At one point four tables around us left. I work at a restaurant and am very much aware that it is a job like any other, only with harder and longer hours than most. But I just wasn’t expecting this from a place with such high quality food.
Great service and food. The service by everyone from the bar, host, wait staff, etc. was on spot. The only thing we wished were handled differently was that we were informed that we had the option to place a half order of the donuts for dessert. We forced ourselves to eat almost everyone (who can leave little fried balls of dough behind). It would have been nice to have known that prior to ordering a full order.
Great date spot! The grilled octopus and fried lobster are to die for! Get the sampler platter - great choice so you can try a little bit of everything off the menu. And take a picture by the octopus!
Best grilled octopus ever
The octopus was the most tender I’ve ever had and the skate wing with the lentils was so good I could leave Cj the plate. The only reason I rate the food 4 stars is that the prawns were over cooked. Our waiter was just ok - he didn’t seem to be that familiar with the wine and he wasn’t that enthusiastic in his recommendations about the food.
Excellent waiter and dinner!
A delightful young woman with a good sense of humor served us. Both of our entrees (halibut & snapper) were delicious, as was the lobster appetizer & chocolate lava cake we enjoyed for dessert.
An authentic Greek/Mediterranean menu, with lots of fresh fish, good atmosphere, and attentive service. Great fir a special occasion or business meal. Always consistent, and never disappointed. In my opinion, the best of the Buckhead Life restaurants.
Food was great, interesting choices. Table was wonderful. Allison was very good.
We have been going to Kyma for many years now and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Wonderful staff and always amazing food.
Our dinner was fabulous, per usual. Kim was great. We had the tasting and loved everything we ordered. The octopus still stands as the best I've ever had, so thanks! And the kale was ridiculously good. Thanks for a good time!
Always excellent food and wine selections. There with out of town friends, we enjoyed the food, beverages and outstanding service. One of Atlanta's most consistent and special restaurants is a not to miss place for Greek seafood.
Another superb dinner, magnificent Lavraki main course, and outstanding service. We especially enjoyed the complimentary dessert plate of Baclava.
A truly sublime experience, outstanding food, presentation, service, no real deficiencies except for price. In this instance you truly get what you paid for.
I've been here before but my friend hadn't - and he was pleasantly surprised at the extensive menu. We ordered lamb chops and the halibut and shared them and they were both delicious.
Our server - Logan - was an absolute delight. Everything she suggested was wonderful and so was she!
Fantastic as usual!
For the price, I was not particularly impressed with the taste and preparation/presentation of the appetizers or entree we were served. Service was somewhat slow and our server was seemingly a little annoyed with some of our questions about the menu. Disappointed to say the least.
Great food and outstanding service. Whole article char was absolutely delicious and was cooked perfectly. Octopus appetizer is the best in Atlanta. Lamb pie was yummy, but it had a bit too much yogurt under it. Horiatiki salad when solid as always. Loukomades are great to share.
Very good food. Steak cooked to perfection. No wait. Salad was delicious.
Thanks to Buckhead Dine Around - I got an amazing opportunity to enjoy the food at Kyma. My guest and I were most impressed with the atmosphere, the customer service AND the food. The bean soup although a bit salty, was delicious. The romaine feta salad = scrumptious. The food is delivered by what appears to be one of the cooks (chefs perhaps). Nice touch, and great opportunity to give that (chef or cook) person feedback - if you would prefer a personalized touch or adjustment to your dish. (I noticed the responsiveness of the person delivering to another table.). This place is an absolute must try!
Kyma is a great restaurant. I have been
there many times and it is always excellent!!
As always, Kyma did not disappoint. My boyfriend's parents were visiting (and we're all Greek) so this was the perfect spot for authentic food. The food makes me feel like I'm dining in Greece. One of my favorite places in Atlanta!
Their fish is too expensive.. now selling fish by the pound. Was told that a certain fillet came in only a. 1and 3/4 lb and 2lb size at $40 dollars a pound. Other restaurants in Buckhead sell smaller sizes for far less. Fish was not as good as I have had previously there. Will not go back for awhile.
Nice ax always staff is friendly and helpful. Food is excellent!!
Got together with my best friends for a girls night out and had a blast!! Delicious food and drinks.
While I enjoyed the food and the server was helpful in selecting a wine the service felt rushed at times. We ordered an appetizer and salad. The salad, which contained sorbet, was served while we were enjoying the appetizer thus the sorbet melted before we finished the appetizer.
We chose two mediterranean tasting menus for my birthday. For mezze we got lobster morsels, grilled octopus, tuna tartar and mussels w/o shells. The octopus was the best ever. The Lobster & tuna were also first class. We got tow whole small sea bass from the Greek isles and they were wonderful, The chef also threw in a few mezze for free. Not cheap but you definitely get your money's worth.
