Disappointed! In the past we had liked this restaurant which is part of the Buckhead Life Group, and we have always supported this group since it started over 20 years ago. I am not sure if because I made the reservation through Open Table, but they were going to place us at a terrible table. I complained and we were moved. The place was very crowded. Our waiter was not personable or helpful. He could have cared less about us and serving us. My husband did not even have silverware and we had to ask for it. For our main course we got the wrong silverware and had to be replaced. We had to ask for bread and he never brought the olive oil that they generally bring to the table. Food was good, but we noticed that our portions were smaller especially the octopus plate. It is too bad this restaurant has changed so much.
Food and service was fabulous as usual.
I ordered fish and it tasted like salt. I could not eat it!
Excellent Food & Service & Ambience. Would gladly recommend to all.
The service was very attentive and food was excellent - tasty and health. The grilled fish is high recommended.
Always a fantastic experience!!! Best restaurant in atlanta.
Superb waiter, Chandler. Owner Pano great chef and man.
First visit and we WILL be back! Our server, Patrick, was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. It was a pleasure to be served by him. My wife and I started with the Tuna Tartare and the Wood Grilled Octopus. Each of these were outstanding and close to if not the best we have ever had. Perfect presentation and preparation with a flavor profile that was out of this world! We shared the Lavraki(Bronzino) and it was incredible. Wonderfully grilled and presented with just the right amount of seasoning. Lastly we had the Chocolate Lava cake, so very good. The finale of the evening was getting to visit with Chef Pano, have his cook book signed and get a photo with him. He made us feel welcomed, appreciated and special. Thanks for a fantastic dining experience!
Kyma is always one of the best restaurants in town! Great food, ambiance— one of our favorites!
Everything about our experience at Kyma was exceptional- the restaurant is beautiful; the service was extraordinary and the food is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Chef Pano takes his Greek heritage and outs a slight spin on it without diluting the fresh flavor that we all want in Greek food. This is definitely on my top 10 list
We were disappointed in the slow service, the $80.00 Branzino fish, served with the salty side of braised greens, the 19.00 octopus portion. Loved the Fried Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts. After we declined ordering wine the service slowed to a near halt. Wish we went to Buckhead Dinner or Prizzi. Maybe better at Lunch ? No opa
We shared plates and enjoyed it all. Service was outstanding.
I grew up spending a number of summers in Greece and appreciate high end Greek cuisine. The lamb chops, Saganaki, and Octopus my wife and I consumed were all perfection. In fact, the octopus is the best I've tasted outside of Greece. Highly recommend Kyma!
We had a table for 8 It took 30 minutes to bring us bread. 2 People had the special fish and one had Dover Sole it was presented to the table and not returned de-boned for over 30 minutes. The Sole was like rubber. I had the Branzino ice cold with a lemon caper sauce so bitter I could not eat. 2 people had Arctic Char one cam to the table cold and after 1/2 were finished their meal the other came.
All in all the experience was terrible especially sine I have been to Kyma 30 times with never an issue. The issue is I recommended so much to the 6 others that found the food equally dissatisfying.
I have not given up I will be back.
The Octopus and Zucchini Fritters were great.
The manager was very nice came over and we did not have to pay for dinner. I gave the Waiter $300.00
I have been to Kyma's several times now and every time the food is outstanding and the service is superior to most places in Buckhead. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants and its very authentic.
Ambience was much quieter than some of the other res
The look of the restaurant is sleek and updated. Being that it is a greek family style restaurant, we got to try many different things between the two of us. Safe to say everything was phenomenal. Our server Chandler definitely added to the experience and ambiance.
We had a NYE dinner at Kyma. The food and service were spectacular. We even got a visit from the head chef - who was delightful. We will definitely return.
There were only 2 bartenders on New Year's Eve, which caused a very long delay in drinks. And we still had to wait at least 30 minutes with a reservation. But every one of the staff we came in contact with was extremely friendly and competent. We didn't want to sit at the tiny table they squeezed in next to the water cart, but they didn't bat an eye when we requested the next available table in a different location. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. The waiter was attentive, even with a full restaurant. The food was superb. The spicy lamb pie was mouthwatering. I was skeptical of the lamb chops, but I've never had any so good. I didn't know they could taste that good. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even the simple horiatiki salad was amazing. And the desserts. Wow. The loukumades were perfectly fried. This will probably be this year's anniversary dinner destination. Can't wait to go back!
It’s been awhile since I have been to an expensive place and walked out content with the entire experience. We tried their tasting meal option and it was very good. My husband has a hearing issue and he could hear me through the meal without any troubles so a huge thank you to Kyma for keeping the music as background. Staff was very attentive. I definitely recommend Kyma if you like fresh food, peaceful atmosphere, and great service.
I lived in Greece for sometime and it was very good to eat a lavraki as I used to eat in Athens. The ouzo, the greek salad were superb. The baklava was extraordinary!! It was probably on the expensive side but I enjoyed so much that it was worthwhile. We will teturn!!
Service was excellent
Awesome place don’t miss this restaurant when in Atlanta
Best restaurant in Atlanta!!!! Service, food is amazing. Never miss a chance to eat there!!!
Would still recommend but disappointed with the service and some of the food. The spicy lamb pie, though, was terrific, as always.
We love Chef Pano’s Offerings. The snapper items (special and regular menu) were excellent
I have been to Kyma a few times and have always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately my recent experience on Christmas Eve 2018 was not great. We ordered the tasting menu ($53 pp) and the fish we ordered (Sea Bass) was not available so we were up charged $10 pp for a alternative fish. When we asked the waiter for clarification he seemed to become annoyed. We were seated near a storage area and on three occasions had chairs lifted over our heads so it was not very relaxing. Also the wine stand for another table was directly behind me so it felt like a was seated in a service area. We also noted the number of fellow dinners using flashlights to read the menus - it may be time for Kyma to address the lighting and/or the font size of the menu. One person in our party uses a wheelchair and found the restaurant accessible. We all thought the cocktails and tasting spreads were really good - maybe next time I will skip meal and just enjoy the cocktails and spreads in the bar.
I’m a big fan of Buckhead restaurants. Each one offers a different twist. I travel around the world often I can appreciate the great quality all restaurants as well as Kemah have to offer. I’m a big fan of the fresh fish, lamb chops and the fried cheese.
Great atmosphere! Fantastic meal, love the octopus. Very attractive wait staff.
Our waiter Justin made our traditional family pre-Christmas dinner a memorable time. The meal was delicious.
Service was excellent, patient and polite. Enjoyed the authentic food, beet salad was delicious as was everything else. Great place.
Great ambiance, amazing appetizers (will go back for those), and will go back overall, but the main courses were just okay. My 1 1/2 pound of lobster in the Lobster Spaghetti was almost non existent, and my girlfriends Artic Char was an "okay" serving but good. The mussels were ridiculously amazing as well as the other 3 appetizers we had. We will most likely just go back and sit at the bar and eat appetizers only. The service at the bar and the bartender was slow and not personable. We are mixed on whether or not to go back.
Extraordinary food, service, and atmosphere!!
Kyma never disappoints! It’s consistently the best dining in Atlanta! BRAVO!!!!
We had a lovely dining experience at Kyma. Food, service and ambiance were even better than the last time we were there which had been years. We’ll be back soon.
Perfect for a special occasion! Dining here is an experience; a wonderful fine-dining interpretation of traditional Greek fare. And the service is always exemplary. No wonder it has been a Buckhead staple for so long. We'll be back to celebrate again soon I hope.
My husband’s bday
Never Disappoints! One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Fabulous fish and lamb.
We had a nice evening celebrating a friend’s birthday. Food was delicious! And the highlight of the evening was meeting Chef Pano and getting copies of Modern Greek Cooking signed!
Great birthday dinner!
Elegant and delicious
