Food is all delicious! , appetizers are super small for the value . However entrees and desserts are plenty !
Overall it was a great night. The restaurant was decorated nicely for the holidays and the ambiance was lovely. We had a very nice table in the main dining room, which I had requested. The food was delicious and the service was not outstanding, but pretty good.
Specialty fish item was one of the best I've tasted. Service was excellent!!
This is our favorite place. The food is outstanding especially the skate which Issa my favorite dish. Rudy was an exceptional waiter!
Food as amazing our waiter was very helpful picking out wine and food. Yes the grilled octopus and doughnuts are a must
Outstanding evening in every way! I called earlier in the day to request a romantic table and to let them know that we were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. I spoke with Jacob. He promised that they would make it a special evening and they did. Jacob turned out to be our waiter. He is fabulous! He made sure that he took all the pictures that we wanted all evening, which was very important to us. He has a winsome personality and is very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. He was always available when needed but never pushy. The food was incredible. Chef Pano's award winning Lamb Pie was heavenly. (His award winning dish on Beat Bobby Flay TV show). And don't miss the Octopus Appetizer. Amazing! The atmosphere was beautiful. I felt like I was in Greece. It was tastefully decorated for Christmas. The booths are perfect for a romantic meal. I highly recommend Kyma for a special evening out or just a great, relaxing meal. Enjoy!
Best in the city! Octopus and the fresh fish are beyond amazing!
The food was good, the service A little spotty and the piped in music little too loud
Portion size has decreased significantly. Ordered 2 octopus apps...both were much smaller than they used to be. Seemed like a bar size portion, not a $22 portion of octopus. Same was true of the lamb pie, which used to have another ring/twist on it. Food was still good. Service was not very good. Did not get bread and olive oil until we asked for it, took a long time to place our order, etc.
I’m only in Atlanta a few times a year and always look forward to dining at Kyma. The decor is nicely upscale yer still restful. At ‘‘tis last dinner, the pork ribs and lobster pasta were fantastic. I thought the octopus maze was, unfortunately, a little bland. The wine list is all Greek to me but at present I can’t drink wine so no problem. I will be dining here again as soon as I can.
Having had an excellent dinner at Kyma two months ago, my wife an I were expecting a similarly excellent dinner. The service for the drinks was slow. My wife's drink came first and my drink came about 15 minutes later. The bourbon selection was poor with only one semi-premium bourbon available. The octopus was a bit overdone and lacked sufficient sauce. The mussles were good but the sauce was not nearly as good as before. The water glasses were not refilled and it was difficult to find the waiter at the end of the meal.
Everything was amazing about this restaurant. The service, food, ambiance were excellent. Highly recommend this place for fine Greek dining.
The food was great!!
Wonderful food and complimentary dessert that was yummy!
We took friends who had never been to Kyma! They LOVED it! Chef Pano visited our table and signed his cookbook for them. It’s my fave restaurant in Atlanta! Thank you again Chef Pano!
Fantastic. Amazing service and great food.
Excellent food. Salmon was delicious. Mixed drinks tasty.
Our waiter Jacob was both attentive and knowledgeable about the menus and wine pairings,
He made the evening great.
The spreads and appetizers were excellent. The shared entrée we chose was the skate fish and it was a little overdone and a bit too salty for my taste, but overall was a beautiful evening.
Outstanding food and service. Wonderful experience!
Desserts were excellent in particular
Refreshing change of pace as not very many options for good Mediterranean food in Atlanta.
Food was amazing
Walked in and was not greeted with words, rather just a smile. I could barely hear the host as she was looking to the side, while sorting the menus. I had to tell her I couldn’t hear or understand what she was saying. The service at the table was perfect, our server was friendly and checked on us with adequate amounts. The food was good, the crab pasta was a bit too spicy for my liking.
Hello and thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for the lack of a welcome at the front door when you arrived. There is no excuse for the host to be so preoccupied with anything that their number one duty, which is to welcome guests, is missed. I can assure you that this has already been addressed with the host that was working that night and used as a reminder to keep our other hosts from forgetting their priorities. We wish you all the best and hope to see you again soon!
Always wonderful! Chef Pano’s win over Bobby Flay was well deserved! His food is delicious! Look forward rooter next time!
Great service; server was very knowledgeable about menu and made great recommendations. Food wzs fabulous. Chef took the time to come talk to us at the table and sign the cookbook I bought! All around a favorite in Atlanta
Wonderful restaurant . Buckhead life , reputation and truly the fish is very well prepared. I get that for sure.
I would love to enjoy the restaurant whenever I am in the mood for excellent fish, it is my hood.
It’s just hard to justify $120 for three pounds of fish,( $40/ lb). 24 ounces when filleted . Again outstanding but just overpriced . Wish it wasn’t.
I guess I could go to the sister rest Fish Market and get cheaper prices.
Fish is better prepared at Kyma.
Special place, special times. Sigh.
Perfect place for a date night, family dinner or night out with friends. Exceptional food and service.
We were here for a birthday celebration. Been to this restaurant many times but probably won’t return. Food was ok, my appetizer calamari ‘pasta, was ok, a bit bland. My son’s tuna tartar really good, my husbands beet salad a little strange!
Main course of Dover sole was over cooked, skate was drowning in butter and side of kale (really??) not good.
The appetizer plates were cleared and main course arrived immediately. We felt rushed. Birthday (child..??) going on at table next to us...peeps had there phones out the whole time, very annoying. Desert was ok and compensated because of our birthdays, cappuccino was lukewarm at best. Our waiter was good but didn’t seem very experienced.
We sincerely apologize for the shortcomings you experienced with us during your celebration. Please know that we do not accept any of these issues and fully intend to make amends. Our General Manager will be sending you a private message shortly. All the best!
Everything was fabulous. The only downside to our evening was the server TELLING us that we didn’t need to order any dessert because we had already had a lot of food.
Thank you for the glowing review. I sincerely apologize for that dessert comment, I can only hope it was a poorly thought out, innocent joke. Please accept our apologies for that, it was clearly an unprofessional comment. All the best!
I’m not sure why, but for the second time in a row, with a reservation, we were seated in the bar area rather than in the main dining room. (And in case you are thinking we were dressed in shorts and tees, we were not!). It’s just not the same experience when you’re at a bar table rather than at a table with a white tablecloth. Why bother to reserve a table, when you are seated in the nearly empty bar area anyway. I won’t be back.
Hello, please accept our apologies for any misunderstanding. Our octopus lounge area is part of our normal seating. Some people prefer the main dining room, some the club room, and some the octopus lounge. There is no judgment made as far as who we seat there beyond a normal restaurant rotation. If you are ever seated in an area of our restaurant that you do not enjoy, we will not hesitate to adjust in order to you make you comfortable. Please accept our apology. Wishing you all the best.
Some items ordered very salty, had to send one back. Service inattentive. Wine overpriced
Hello, we apologize for letting you down. Anything less than a perfect experience at Kyma is unacceptable. Please send our General Manager a short email so that he may follow up with you privately and make amends. rbalouch@buckheadrestaurants Thank you!
My husband and I could not have been more pleased with our experience at Kyma. Everything from the service to the atmosphere to the amazing food was definitely top quality. Thank you so much.
We have already recommended Kyma to another friend.
Wonderful service. Great food
My grilled was octopus superb and the chef’s willingness to fill my trout with spinach only was appreciated as well as delicious.
Excellent dinner with friends. Love the round table. Noise level was moderate and we could all enjoy conversation. Sincerely appreciated all of the delicious vegetarian options. Try the sharing plates for the table! Great, fun night out!
Kyma is always a fantastic experience and it’s the most authentic modern Greek fare in Atlanta! It’s a fun atmosphere and the food is delicious!
Amazing food and service!!!
Excellent service and food. Very attentive staff. Vegan and vegetarian options.
