Finish your meal with a sweet dessert like blackberry cheesecake or vanilla bourbon crme brle.

We had a great Friday night dinner @ Kybecca on Valentine's weekend, sharing several appetizers to make our meals. We had craft cocktails & sangria (both were great!). The roasted beet salad was awesome; lobster spring rolls were good; the oysters (a good selection of local and W. Coast varieties) were fairly priced, fresh and terrific! Salads were also good, and the wine list is impressive. Try the Pinot Noir or their Cotes du Rhone by the glass :) The décor is a bit industrial and has a noise level to match, at least in the room where we were seated. The dining areas were pretty full, and the bar filled up by 8:00 pm and was quite energetic. The other dining room may have been quieter. We'll definitely be back and have already recommended this place to friends.
Excellent food during restaurant week. Service was very good and the restaurant was mercifully quiet which I like. I did think the portions were on the small side.
Great meal for Restaurant Week. Small portions, well presented, but 3 courses made a filling meal. No dessert.
Well prepared and presented plates that were delicious. Very creative style and well seasoned. Will certainly dine there again. The fried brussel sprouts are amazing even for people who don't like sprouts.
I went for restaurant week and ordered from their preselected menu. The choices were very fair for the fixed price of $20. The food was great but the service was a little slow. However it was unusually busy on a Tuesday night because of Restaurant week. Overall I really enjoyed myself.
My husband and I love this place! From just dropping by for a drink poured by Calvin to Restaurant week for a well thought out menu to a great meal with family. This is a go to place for us in downtown Fredericksburg. This place has a little something for everyone!!
The atmosphere and service was the best part of our evening. The pasta was dry and lacked flavor and the shrimp and grits was a big disappointment. The grits were watery and the whole dish was bland tasting. This is the first negative review we have ever given. For the price point we expected more.
My husband and I always treat ourselves to a good dinner at a highly rated local restaurant when travelling. On our trip back from Florida to New York, we stopped in Fredericksburg for the night. Based on Trip Adviser reviews we visited Kybecca, which is in the downtown area. We had roasted Brussels sprouts and lobster spring rolls for appetizers. They were both superb. My husband had the shrimp and grits, which was delicious. I had the chicken which was very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient. I wish we had a restaurant like this close to home!
The food is always great as is the service. The staff is always responsive to the diners needs and is very courteous. Open table makes it easy to make reservations. I would recommend Kybecca to all of our friends.
I took a lovely woman there for a first date, and to say the least, I think the ambiance of kybecca helped us make an even stronger connection! From the fast service (was a Sat night, made reservations, but they were able to seat us right away), knowledgeable and energetic (read: enthusiastic in their profession) servers, and menu where everything looks and sounds delicious, it was a perfect evening out!
Since we couldn't truly decide on what to select for our meals (all of it sounded decadent), we decided upon the shrimp & pork cigars (highly recommend btw) and a bottle of a perfect Malbec. Between the décor (mix of old historic and modern/chic/trendy), and the good blend of music (my date said she had most of the music on her playlist, so we really enjoyed that), and the fact that it was busy but not noisy, the fun and romantic atmosphere that was created definitely left a memorable impression upon both of us.
Needless to say, we shall be returning for more of kybecca!
Interesting food, nicely prepared. Pleasant and efficient service. Mixed drinks are more expensive than in NYC.
After an 8 hour drive we stopped in Fredericksburg, made reservations two days before and so glad I did. We were promptly seated and greeted by our excellent server, Emery. The menu was small, but everything fresh, local and appealing. Portions generous and everything Delicious. We had house marinated olives and roasted Brussels sprouts with Asian twist, flounder special and shrimp over grits with bits of andouille and vegetables. Definitely will eat there again.
Food was great!!!!! Mix drink was on point. We loved our waitress Chelsea.
We will definitely return!
The food was not any better than you would get from a home cooked meal. The prices were too high for what you got in both size and flavor.
The food at Kybecca was more than expected and service I the best I have in some time.
Good food, variety menu. Chelsea, our server, was very pleasant and efficient. Thanks.
We had a great dinner celebrating my birthday. Service and food were great, but it was a bit noisy.
We were in from out of town and selected kybecca because of good reviews on Open Table. Very glad we went! Great food and excellent friendly service. Moderate prices as well. It was "mussels nite" so we had Thai coconut curry mussels, accompanied by excellent double fried "frites". Also had the smoked tomato pasta, and for starters, the shrimp and pork cigars. Great beer selection, very nice wines at reasonable prices. Very casual atmosphere, and we were very impressed with the food. Would highly recommend it.
Probably one of the best in Fredericksburg, VA but with minimalist decor ( a bit like a cafeteria) and very uneven food prep ( spicy pork chop entree seriously over-salted) its not a destination restaurant. It'll be OK if your passing through. Kudos on the wine list as its extremely well priced with a few decent local (VA) wines. Service is friendly and efficient.
We had the pork chop special and the pork belly. The rest of the menu (for various reasons) wasn't very appealing. Those pork dishes were absolutely delicious. I also had the cheese plate, which was half wonderful, half forgettable.
This was our fist time. We enjoyed the small plates, lemonade, and veggies. The parking is street or afterhours in bank parking lot. The main courses were not as good as we had hoped. The dinning room has several stairs. The tables are not covered. The service was great and our waitress was friendly and helpful.
Moving to the area from NoVA and am happy to have found this place. Menu varies based on season (I think). Excellent wines.
Great melody of flavors in fresh, local dishes. The bar is small, but extremely well stocked and offers an amazing variety of specialty drinks. Modern décor that wasn't quite my style, but good service and excellent food and drinks make it a perfect dining spot for a foodie and/or wine/adult beverage connoisseur. Relaxing experience with indoor and outdoor seating.
I enjoyed the entire experience. I easily made a reservation and was immediately seated when I arrived, choosing to take a table outside. Water and wine were served within the first 10 minutes and food followed a good half and hour later. It was so good and our server was great and answered all of our questions about how things were prepared. Later, after our meals we red finished, we ordered a basket of bread for fear of having too leave to soon! All of the food was prepared beautiful and it was very delicious, and I didn't feel a rush to eat and leave, which I appreciated.
Pleasant wine bar with great range of small plate offerings and dinner items. The fried brussel sprouts are very tasty and the pork chops were cooked perfectly. Look forward to trying other dishes and exploring their wine selection further.
Great to know there is a wine bar with innovative, fresh food in Fredericksburg! Our waiter Xavier was great.
Before dinner we always start with a cocktail and we both had a Mint Mojito. Don't let the price scare you off, it was amazing! The drink was served in a very cold metal cup which had frost so thick you could crave in it. For appetizers we both had the Crispy Pork Belly, wonderfully prepared and presented. For dinner I had the Beef Osso Bucco, that was cooked to perfection. The beef was so tender you didn't need a knife to cut it, it just fell apart with a fork. Finished with the White Chocolate Tiramisu which is a nice change with the white chocolate pastry cream and white chocolate shaven curls. We look forward to returning.
I was meeting a friend for dinner in Fredericksburg and came across this really cool looking place. I checked out the menu and made a reservation. I had crab cakes and my friend had salmon. We were both very disappointed. The food was not flavorful at all. The design decor was nice though. Too bad that's not edible.
Service is always very good. Food is an eclectic mix with something for everyone. Wine and beer selection is very good. Highly recommended if you are in the area,.
In was hotter inside the restaurant than outside, in AUGUST! We were there for two hours and wanted to enjoy a fine meal, food was great, service indifferent, dining conditions poor.
Nice hidden gem in Fredericksburg. Tasty food options and very goodles bar selections. Wine on tap is a plus as well.
Great, great experience. Brussel sprouts and frites were outstanding as well as pork chops and shrimp and grits. Definitely a winner!
We met friends for dinner and the food was excellent and wait staff was great. We at at 5 and by the time we left around 6:30 the place was getting filled up. I would definitely go back again, the menu isn't overwhelming but had a good selection. We ordered from the raw bar menu and then two people in our party had the shrimp and grits that were out of this world and the scallops were perfectly cooked and the veggie plate was filling and very tasty.
First time dining at Kybecca, the food, service, and experience was great. Went for my 50th birthday with family who all greatly enjoyed the food.
The offerings at Kybecca never disappoint us. The creativity of the chef and use of local produce and products make this our go to favorite for a night out. We had the fried green tomatoes with local grown tomatoes, and corn salsa. Excellent! The crabcakes were outstanding as well with pure lump crabmeat and flavor galore. Dessert was peach cheesecake and wow was that yummy! This restaurant is a gem to Fredericksburg and we hope it stays around for a long, long time!
Best French Fries in the world! Raw bar VERY expensive. Good drinks. VERY loud. Not a place for a romantic dinner. Dinner menu options are limited.
Our food was delicious! The restaurant was loud and was kind of hard for me and my husband to hear each other. But other than that it was a nice night out.
In the heart of Old Town you don't want to miss this wine bar with local food selections. Yummy & healthy! We sat outside on the sidewalk and enjoyed the ambiance of the town and the local dogs who where having lunch with their owners! This place has wine taps...so buy your card and serve yourself. You can do as many tasting as you like...its fun!
I was picking up a friend at the train station for the 4th of July weekend and only three restaurants in Fredericksburg offer the option to book through Open Table. I chose Kybecca because it was located in the historic district. What a great find. We ordered the specials which were fabulous and well presented.
Super cute spot with a nice area for outdoor dining. Love, love, loved the brussel sprouts and the shrimp and grits. Would definitely come back when I'm in town.
