K'ya Bistro - Laguna Beach Ratings and Reviews
Resturant was really small and cozy, yet it was bustling with people. I had no issue with the food even though it was a fixed menu for Valentines Day. There is a bar on the top of the resturant that I had the opportunity to check out while waiting to be seated. The service was something to improve on, but I believe they were running a skeleton crew on one of the most busiest nights during the year, so there's that. Overall, I have already recommended this place to others and hope to return again.
My wife and I went for Valentines dinner tonight. The food ranged from good to very good. They had a package deal for the occasion which included wine or champagne. The re d wine was marginal. The service was good for most all of the me. In fact.my wife told the manager how great our server was; big mistake. the main entrees we waited an hour for the deser
We tried this place for a night out. What a big disappointment. Their idea of tapas food is putting some ingredients on 2 toasted pieces of bread. If they would called them cristini then would make sense. But even that was done very poorly. Don't think they have a trained chef, only cooks, even that, someone should tell them chopped raw onions is not the right topping for anything except maybe salad. We will never go back. Thinks for ruining our night:-(
The fire alarm went off twice while we were eating. We were assured, "this just happens sometimes, nothing to worry about." Uhhhh...? Really? It was really noisy and all of the tables were packed so closely to other tables I felt like I was eating with strangers rather than on an intimate date. The food here used to be really good but they keep changing it and it's just not the same. I get tired of having to figure out the menu all over again each time I go and seeing favorite dishes disappear. Or ordering them and finding it's different. This place was just disappointing. It used to be one of our favorites but we probably won't be coming back.
Took our friends here for dinner. Since we came for an early 4:30 dinner, we were introduced to the Happy Hour menu. It was fun picking and choosing various items to try. We had a wonderful time and the food and wine was very good. We will definitely be back again!
Wow! We went here to cap off a great holiday break and we were very impressed. The food is creative, delicious and downright fun! My 9 year old got to eat a "real" heathy meal to boot and he gobbled it up. The cocktails were great too, and did not skimp on the alcohol (be careful you have a DD in you plan on having more than 1!! ). We were very impressed and will be back again.
We went for an early dinner on New Years Eve. I was amazed that K'ya had their standard menu and prices for New Years. Wow! What a value.
We've gone to K'ya many times over the years, especially for the Happy Hour meals.
The food is consistently great and the prices are inexpensive.
The food was amazing! It was my second time there, my first time was many years ago and I had hyped up the food to my husband and was hoping it was the same quality as the first time I had gone. IT WAS! We were so happy with our food and drinks, will definitely go again!
Excellent food. Tapas and small plates were all good. We didn't try the family style.
Every item we tried was excellent. The Brie was heavy on bread and light on Brie.
The atmosphere is loud, hard for conversation, parking might be difficult so arrive with enough time. We got very close parking.
I would recommend happy hour, or dinner for 2. It is a bit too loud for larger parties.
Just get a get things and share! The items will start to add up so if you are on a budget keep an eye on your total.
Wine, prosecco, g&t, tea, 4 tapas, 3 small plates: 145. Plus tip.
This is especially great for those who loves to eat small plates. And if you don't, you get to taste a bunch of things that taste amazing for the same price as a large plate. Food has always been spot on and there is a large variety. Drinks are better than average.
