Nancy was our server, what a great personality & helpful; had such a wonderful time there, food was awesome too.....
Mother’s Day Brunch
We were all very disappointed when I booked the reservation at no time did it say that the mother’s day brunch started at 11am. Our reservation was for 9:15 am which was for the Sunday breakfast buffet which had no dessert except for a danish and little jello cups. No prime rib or anything special. I also know that other parties that were there felt the same very misleading
Great restaurant and bar, but the Sunday Grill Dinner Buffet is bad. The food was cold and there is barely a selection of items. 4 types of meat and a weak salad bar. Come to Kukui’s for the breakfast buffet & the bar, but not the Sunday night grill dinner buffet.
Sunday brunch was delicious and the staff AMAZING!
Very pretty location at the Marriott resort... pleasant ambiance, good service. Food was good. Not amazing, but good. Drinks were great! Soup & salad bar was a bit picked over so left that, otherwise good.
Great place for an adult beverage and delicious appetizers with a close in ocean front seating. Great fire pits nearby and tiki torches provide a nice relaxing atmosphere. Great service and reasonable resort prices. Food is surprisingly delicious.
Always enjoy Kukui's. Breakfast is always good and dinner and lunch are also just right. Service is exceptional at both breakfast and dinner.
The staff is very attentive to your needs. The stuffed salmon was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.
This is our second visit here, we went back because we were so impressed with the prime rib on our first visit. This time are meals were warm at best, we mentioned it to our server who mentioned it to the kitchen and they offered us a free dessert. Our meal still tasted good but it just wasn't the same quality as the previous time.
Great lunch. Didn’t have time to fit in for dinner. My husband and I shred the vegetable spread, it was fantastic. We also shared the sliders, also very good.
Awesome breakfast bar. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The omelet chef was amazing.
The food and service were excellent. A little pricy but good
Great ambiance and good food.
Friday night special, the prime rib special was amazing. It came with a soup and salad bar. The salad bar was simple but very fresh and the buns were the best! Soup was a shrimp bisque and it was ok, we added croutons to make it better :) the prime rib was tender and cooked to perfection! Wine was also on special and it was great! We came hungry and left happy! We'll be back
Fish was fishy tasting and the tempora shrimp was right out of the box.
The entire experience was delightful and delicious!!! We loved it from beginning to end!
The service was great from everyone. The Sunday brunch was delicious in a wide variety of hot and cold foods. Great for groups.
Liked outdoor atmosphere close to the beach and pool. Our waitress was really nice and had a good sense of humor.
Excellent service and accommodating staff who understood my husband's special needs re: Parkinson's.
We were sat at a dark large table in a relatively empty restaurant. We were outside and did not even have a light on the table. We were far from the salad bar.
The Pacific salmon and its presentation are excellent.
We had a great time at this restaurant on Valentines night. My husband can’t eat gluten or dairy and the waitress was knowledgeable about that and made sure that the chef knew when cooking his meal. The food was great and service was friendly. Great view and live music.
The Mongolian Buffet (you select the ingredients from bountiful and high quality choices of seafood, meats, and vegetables) was fantastic! And for some the fact you can have seconds and thirds may be a plus.
Special Valentine's dinner was a little pricey, but helpful waitress was great in making it so we could split it. Rain made outside tables a little risky despite umbrellas. Kukui's could be really good, but needs snappier service, "special" touches like flowers or candles on tables, update of tired decor, and more dependably great food. Not our number one Kauai choice, but a good second-tier restaurant.
It was my son's 21st birthday. The sushi was amazing. Bryce did an excellent job and was very accommodating. The ambiance was breath taking with a very calm, clear and perfect 77degree full moon night. Drinks were good and the cauliflower and kale rice was a surprising favorite. Ice cream pie for dessert a must to finish the meal.
Hard not to have any spicy offerings for Mongolian BBQ. Lack of sauces and choices of meat. The pineapple wasn’t even offered - in Hawaii?!
But as far as locale - Amazing Hotel. Koi pond - wow! Hard to complain about a thing like food in Hawaii!!
Good is so well prepared, even the soup and salad bar was special. Our fish was cooked perfectly, the seasoning and sauce matched so well. We loved our dinner.
We’ve eaten there a lot and have loved it. Seems like the menu changes a lot. Were disappointed in the sushi. Not up to their usual good quality. Fish & chips were just “ok”.
Service was terrible, and food wasn’t worth the money
Just had their incredible burger with bacon. Delicious!
I had a dinner with my son. We ordered a Kalbi Rib Eye and a Hibachi chicken sandwich. They were both delicious.
Unlike previous years, Christmas Day dinner for 2017 consisted of plated main dish and a salad bar and dessert table. At $35 for children and $70 for adults, dinner was pricier than in previous years. This was evident as not all of the tables were occupied. The main dishes were good but not outstanding but that was to be expected when serving a large crowd. Given a choice, we would have preferred a total buffet package.
Breakfast buffet on Christmas morning. Lovely assortment of choices and super service. Place was packed but felt very comfortable. Excellent choce
The food was alright but for the price you can find much better food on the island.
Nice outdoor setting alongside pool and overlooking beach. Service was good and staff very welcoming. Drinks were good. Shrimp taco appetizer was very tasty and perfect size for two to share. Main dishes of shrimp scampi and tempura shrimp generous but not quite as tasty .
Located at the Marriott resort so it’s not surprising that the prices are high. But for the price you expect better food. The food here is really only fair.
House wine (merlot) was terrible—burned all the way down our throats; waiter took it away with no charge. Food was Luke warm but shrimp bisque was very tasty, tho also Luke warm ( in buffet)
Kukui’s is located at the Westin Princeville Resort Villas, Kaui, Hawaii. We enjoyed the atmosphere and excellant dishes. Our server, Matt, made our experience even better with great unrushed service and personality. The main dishes we had were Salmon with crab for my spouse and beef tenderloin for me.
Both were plated attractively, prepared well and served promptly in great timing after drinks etc.
Noise level fairly high with happy groups of vacationers all around, but not oppressive.
If oare in Princevill area make a reservation and enjoy!
