Got to the restaurant. Sign posted on door: "Kristabelli is temporarily closed." Major disaster for carefully planned evening. Stay away.
I think the restaurant had great customer service and good food. Wish the wine list was a little more extensive for by the glass. Liked the fact that the waiter let me taste a different wine so I knew for sure which one I wanted.
It's always on my top 5 to visit. First visit for my girl friend and she had such a wonderful time. Love their food, unique and one of a kind. Very special, amazing tasty. Their aged steak melted right in the mouth. Excellent services. Now it becomes my girl friend must go restaurant. Yes, it's pricy but well worth every penny. Slightly disappointed since their pasty chief left and only very ordinary choice for desserts. Other than that, a very enjoyable and satisfied night. Thank you.
Restaurant is understaffed
Service lacking
Maitre'd moonlighting as server and cook
Ignored for the first 15mins after seated.
Excellent service, spacious restaurant, wonderful evening
This is the second time visiting Kristalbelli and I loved it even more the second time around. Highly recommended for the delicious food and tasty drinks. We went upstairs to Jugo lounge and had a great time there as well.
Went there for Valentines Day, pricy but very good food. They accommodated my boyfriend's shellfish allergy. Service was good but a little rushed, you could tell they needed to turn tables. The desert could have been a little more wow. The meat was incredible.
The best korean restaurant!!!
Love it!!!
Good ambiance and service!
terrible service on the 2nd floor. if you ask for more side dishes, the waiter suggest you to eat other side dishes. Servers forget to bring new spoons for desserts. Poured sauce on my coat. Burned the crystal grill. So many things to list. Not worth spending money. Regardless, i gave them a standard percentage tip, knowing i will not come back. To be precise, my first dining experience on the first floor area was quite amazing. don't ever go to the second floor.
Absolutely amazing! The food was phenomenal and the service was just as great
The overall experience at Kristalbelli was very good. The waiters were on top of making sure everything was good for my friend and I. Just one downfall was the seasoning of the pork belly. It was slightly salty for my taste. But all in all I would definitely go back even after NYC restaurant week ends.
We made a reservation for 6:30, we arrived on time and ordered a bottle of champaign and 2 dinner set. The waiters are generally nice but they gave us our check without asking at 8:15pm, and when we told them that we still would like to order more drinks and food, they refused to serve us and told us to go to the bar upstairs because they had to give our table to their 9pm reservation. The food and place are very nice but felt rush and unwelcome.
Excellent service with a full explanation of dishes and sauces and what pairs well with what. Food was superb!
nice ambiance, terrible food. certainly not worth $50, not even with the restaurant week deal.
I went for dinner with my husband during restaurant week and everything was wonderful!! The food was amazing and our waiter John was knowledgeable and overall fantastic!!
I love this place!! I come every single time there is restaurant week! I make sure to tell everyone that asks for a good restaurant to come here. The food is delicious and the ambiance is good.. our waiter this time around I don't think gave us his name or if he did he was very soft spoken and I couldn't hear him.. I can't wait to come back to eat here.
I had the pleasure of checking out Kristabelli for NY Restaurant Week and I am so glad I did. The food was amazing! The service was incredible and overall it was just a great dining experience. I'd love to go back and check out the rest of their menu.
We came here for restaurant week with a couple of friends
I took my friend to Kristalbelli for the restaurant week. We both loved every single plates.... they tasted great and presentation was also excellent. We got sooo full couldn't finish everything... the servers and food runners were very friendly, detailed, explained everything tag was on the plate. We had a fabulous time and we are coming back next week because we loved it so much!
Good food and fun table bbqs in the shape of a Buddha belly. Our waitress, Nicki, was wonderful. She recommended a delicious white wine at the perfect price point!
Really delicious Menu. My favourites: the beef / king shrimps korean BBQ on the kristall belly (nice for sharing). Attentive and professional service. Overall a very good experience. We will come back.
had reservations.place was a bit crowded.they did apoliguize for small wait.waiter was very good at explaining menu.great presentation on all dishes.great flavor .we left very pleased.every employee smiled and seemed happy to work there which made atmosphere more enjoyable.
We had an excellent experience at Kristabelli and really enjoyed our Restaurant Week experience. My only issue was our initial wait. The staff let us know they were running behind, but we weren't seated until at least 45 minutes after our reservation. We weren't in a rush, so a bit of a wait wasn't a big deal, but it was excessive. The food was delicious and all the servers we encountered were friendly and eager to tell us more about the food we were trying. Overall, I'd definitely visit Kristabelli again.
3.5 stars.
Went for restaurant week. Food was very good, however portion size was disappointing. All three diners felt we needed to have another meal after we dined there. Usually, when we go out for K BBQ we are very full from the banchan, lettuce etc, but not this time. Servers forgot about us and our orders- took 30 minutes for wine to appear and we were told when we were finished with our entrees that we would have to wait an additional hour if we still wanted the dessert we had chosen when we placed our entree orders.
The food was great. The lighting was perfect. It was loud but since it is NYC restaurant weeks, it is understandable. However the service was really slow. We talked to the management and they very politely apologized and competed drinks.
I came here for Restaurant Week and I'm so happy I did. The restaurant was hidden behind a wooden door that I missed. I made a reservation for 2 at 6pm and expected the place to be packed due to restaurant week. However, I was excited to see that it was spacious and quiet. The table was huge for two people. We ordered crispy salmon and japchae for the appetizer, dry aged rib eye and marinated short ribs for our entree, and for dessert we had the apple rose and nuneeddine. The staff was always alert, water always refilled. The waiter that brought our food over to us always explained what everything was before we ate. The crispy salmon was good but the japchae noodles were really soggy and soft. The rib eye was amazing. Literally like melt in your mouth amazing. Short ribs were great as well. The dessert was fantastic as well. Overall a great dining experience. I would defiantly come back again.
Our server was lovely; attentive but not intrusive. The tall server from Texas with the tattoos was an absolutely hilarious addition to the evening. Meanwhile, the hosts and bartenders were very pleasant and welcoming while we waiting for our table. We dined here for Restaurant Week and I must say the flavor profiles on the restaurant week menu are to die for. Between the salmon sushi and the marinated short ribs, I couldn't tell which one I enjoyed the most. Wonderful job on the Apple rose, it was a very nice touch to end the evening along with the Gershwin cocktail. Thank you Kristalbelli ✨
The occasion was my dad's birthday so my mom and I went there to celebrate with him. This was a Restaurant Week event as well so we ordered items on the Prix Fixe Menu.
The table comes with a decorated Korean BBQ grill with a faux gold Buddha ring design around it. At the center was the eponymous "Kristal" plate that the food items would be cooked on. What threw me off was the rest of the restaurant felt very disconnected from the table design with the unadorned and plain white brick walls with a single large bulb light hanging down from a wire above our table.
We got out food, slowly. It was great food, though. Signature Korean dishes prepared in a Western style with the plating to match. The only thing they kept were the stone bowls for the Bibimbap. The wagyu was cooked to medium rare per request and the pork belly was cooked well, both by our server. The side dishes were well made and well seasoned.
The only complaint was near the end when we had to wait about 20 minutes for our dessert from the Prix Fixe menu. We had to notify our server twice.
All in all, the food speaks for itself and the price is reasonable for that. The decor and ambiance is lacking but most of the attention is on the table where it should be.
Overall good. Service was very slow but food excellent
Very good. If you are long for a different kind of dining experience this is a must at least once.
The restaurant is modern and clean. The Bibimbap dolsot is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great meal.
Fun night to try something different. Great service and delicious food.
Love the aura of the place. The food was delicious as well.
The octopus was so rubbery it tasted like spicy tires. The best thing was the crispy salmon rice appetizer, because fried rice and fresh fish are always a yummy combo. Our waitress came by to take our order and then never returned. It was impossible trying to get anyone's attention to bring us drinks or show us how to use the "kristal." Another waiter finally came by and reluctantly served us, but it was too little too late. This place is overly expensive--there are much better dining options in this price range and much better Korean bbq places at cheaper prices. Avoid the back room as it is small and the noise of a rowdy party just reverberates.
They have great dry agaed meay love to visit again.
Came here with our 13 year old vegetarian daughter and she had two orders of dumplings. The desserts looked like works of art. We will return!
It has nice decor, calm environment, waiters are polite and aware. Some of the the foods were average tasting for the prices asked. As for the Prime Rib Eye Wagyu Steak it was very tender adequate amount and well seasoned. It was interesting see the food being cooked on a crystal grill. From my experience I'd say eat the fried oysters, ginger salmon, and the prime rib eye Wagyu beef, but fair warning the oysters and salmon may not BLOW away your pallet for the price asked.
Nice and good service...
Overall, good food....sunken grill on table too large...leaving tight spaces, esp when dishes arrive. Service courtesies could be better afforded..need more attention to details...the entire ancillary staff seemed less experienced than usual. But...food was good
My niece's 21st birthday . The staff was super nice and ; of us enjoyed the interactive cooking and mingling with our pleasant waiter. The steaks were fantastic and perfectly done. The sides a little complicated but adventurous. Will definitely go back.
