Breakfast-Brunch Sunday 8am- 2pm
Lunch Monday-Friday 11:30am-2pm
Dinner Monday-Sunday 5:00pm-9pm
We come here frequently for special occasions and have never been disappointed. We never feel rushed like we do in other restaurants. The food is always delicious and the menu has some creative dishes. Service is excellent.
This was the worst experience. We went for my birthday and were very disappointed. The service was awful and the food not much better. We will not be back.
Pleasant, relaxed lunch with tasty food. Abundant portions - graciously boxed leftovers
This place continues to deliver an outstanding dining experience. The food is excellent with reasonable portions delivered hot - no sitting around in the kitchen. The Sunday night special is a really good value. Service is friendly, attentive and relaxed. We will definitely be back.
My wife and I tried Krazy Kat's for the first time yesterday for Sunday brunch. The food was just as good as we had hoped: refined and creative. What else matters, really?
Wonderful service. Great food. A special experience all around.
Loved it! My husband said the scallops were the best he ever tasted, and I love the option of small plates.
Food was just mediocre. Steak (fillet) was really poor quality and over cooked. Very disappointing. I haven't been there for quite some time, but previous meals were much better. Also disappointed with seating. There are a few restaurants that seat customers of OPEN TABLE at least desirable tables. Sullivan's is another restaurant that will reserve least desirable tables for open table customers. At Krazy Kat's, we were by the kitchen door. Aside from the kitchen traffic, all other ambiance was good. Server, L.T. was delightful. I don't think we'll be back for a while. So many other restaurants in our area with far better food quality.
Whenever soft shell crabs are in, I look forward to Krazy Kat's version. It is always different, but always good! The service is superb and the cuisine is creative - whether for brunch or dinner.
Very special!!! The food was amazing and I loved that you could get tasting half portions of things!
Our reservation was for Noon. There were 3 tables occupied including ours. We had to ask to be served, ask for bread. They forgot one persons order of salmon with her salad. No ice with the water. It was as if they were totally unprepaired for luncheon guests. One waitress.
We have friends in the area and the restaurant was centrally located for us to meet. The food was very good and the lunch special was a great value. The service was great and we were not rushed at all. We had a martinis before lunch (also very good) and then ordered lunch. It was a very enjoyable time spent with friends.
We adore the staff at Krazy Kats. They are kind, and very knowledgeable about the food. Very respectful and sociable. The food is always superb. Creative. delicious, and something for everyone. You can tell the chef loves what he does.
Love it every time! Such a great deal and always worth every dollar!
I am in Delaware on a pleasure trip, checking places off my “bucket list”. On my Road Trips, I always seek one-of-a-kind, locally established restaurants. Upon researching my choices, this one seemed a good “match” for me. Oh yes......I chose a jewel! I especially enjoyed the ambiance. To me, that’s half the dining experience. But of course the food was excellent in every way. (LOVE the Brussel Sprouts.) The martini..... made to perfection. The service was superior as well. This restaurant was a pleasurable and memorable experience.
Lovely Inn, attractive and unusual decor and great food.
We had an amazing Brunch this past weekend. By far the best brunch I have been to in this area. The menu was beyond creative and the food far exceeded my expectations. My wife had the Smoked Pork Belly & Grits with Korean BBQ and it was delicious. My mother had the Ricotta Pancake and that too, was so beautifully plated but tasted even better than it looked. The stuffed French Toast was out of this world. I definitely recommend this for Brunch. We have been here for dinner as well and it is just as amazing in a different way. Such a creative culinary staff and well trained front of the house as well.
Thank you for a delightful evening for my father’s 82nd birthday Day. Our waitress, Kimberly, was very attentive and very enthusiastic. We look forward to revisiting! Thank you! The Berger Family!
Food had a nice presentation. Entire staff was polished and well trained. Barbara was an excellent server.
I love your new summer menu! So many wonderful options. Can't wait to come again.
Great ambiance. Good service. Beautiful setting.
Barbara was an excellent server!!
This place is so charming, and a great deal for the price. We had lunch on a Tuesday, so you wouldn’t expect a crowd, and the place was pretty empty - just us and one other table. The decor is elegant and whimsical, the service was good, and the food was a steal for the price - each of the three of us had the lunch combo, and we were out of there for under $40.
This was not my first visit to Krazy Kats; I have been coming here for years. I often enjoy the prix fixe dinner served on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. Krazy Kats has been one of my favorite restaurants in the Wilmington, DE area for some time now. That said, I must say that the food was a bit "off" during my most recent visit. My date's first course Vegetable Napoleon was topped with melted cheese, but served at room temperature. There is nothing appetizing about cold, rubbery melted cheese. Also, my crab cake main course was actually unpleasant, with a gummy texture and slight aroma of ammonia which suggested to me that the crab was not as fresh as it should have been. The main server was quite good, but the busser insisted on asking us if we were "finished enjoying our ___" when he came to collect the dirty dinnerware. Pretentious, and assumes facts not in evidence - he couldn't know that we in fact were enjoying whatever it was we had just eaten because he didn't ask us. Had he actually inquired as to whether we were pleased with that particular course, we could have offered a discreet reply that I am sure the chef would have wanted to consider. This was a birthday celebration so to be frank I was quite disappointed. I will try Krazy Kats again, but if they disappoint me a second time I doubt I would go back.
Another great visit! We did sit in the “outer” room which was noisier than the main dining room. I prefer the latter and will request it going forward. Excellent cheese plate yet again and the vichyssoise was quite good although I’ve never had it before. Great filet, cooked perfectly. We will return. Repeatedly.
My wife and I have dined at Krazy Kat's several times with mixed experiences relative to food, service and the venue itself. Last night's meal at Krazy Kat's was fair to poor.
We both started with the heirloom tomato caprese salad. The main ingredient-heirloom tomatoes were not appealing in looks or taste. They were generally huge slices of a thick, overly meaty fruit. The chef should reconsider the cultivar of heirlooms he is using and select a juicier one. The rest of the salad-arugula , cheese, dressing-were OK but couldn't rescue the salad.
I had the wild boar spare ribs for my entree, my wife had the lobster. The ribs were prepared with a pedestrian bbq sauce. They were cooked well-fall off the bone done-ness but there was nothing that would cause me to recommend them. The lobster tails were simply over cooked.
The server was nice and attentive but resisted helping in our selections. The bus boy was more engaged.
This time around we were seated in the back sun room which is significantly nicer than the main area which is excessively dark.
My wife had a very good Chardonnay, I had Sprite.
The bill was $150 including the tip.
A solid 2 Star event.
Dinner was amazing!
Been here 3 times in the last two years hoping I would have a better experience each time. Unfortunately there has been no improvement. Primarily the food. Ordered Caprese Salad, home made mozzarella was hard. The vinaigrette dressing was so bitter almost making it inedible. Asparagus soup was overly thick and didn't taste like asparagus. Previously had creme of mushroom soup that was so loaded with truffle oil it upset my stomach.
The server brought our check without even asking if we wanted desert or coffee.
The only positive was the atmosphere and Bloody Mary cocktails.
I am very sad to say I will not be returning.
Great brunch before Spa treatments. Been to Krazy Kat’s many times, who knew there was a relaxing spa across the walk in Montchanin?! Fantastic food service and feel as always, now add Spa experience!
Lovely meal but the service was so slow we couldn’t have dessert. I told our server we had a time commitment. We were there for an hour and a half plus and should have been able to finish our meal. There was a long wait before our order was taken for our meal and dessert. It was a birthday celebration and we could not sing happy birthday!
If visiting the Brandywine River area (Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Brandywine River Museum), Krazy Kat's is a great place to relax and enjoy an excellent meal. This was our 5th visit -- never a disappointment!
We love this place. The food is always excellent. Our waitress, Barbara was so helpful and nice. The crab bisque is outstanding with big lumps of crab, and the creme brulee is the best ever. And I loved the quinoa with cucumber app. Crispy-skinned barramundi fish was also very good.
Loved the welcoming atmosphere and staff. Food is very good, limited for vegetarians. But we like it there and go about once a quarter . Service is great.
Great meal! It was our 1st Anniversary and the dinner was fantastic. I had the braised short rib, and she had the twin filets. Will definitely return soon and not wait for another special occasion.
Excellent food, excellent service and excellent value. A wonderful experience highly recommended for those in the know.
Great for any occasion. Ambiance, food, and staff were wonderful. Highly recommend.
Normally we’ve only dined there for dinners. We have rated them highly and recommend it to friends.
However, we had our first weekday lunch there Tuesday.
It was a major disappointment compared to dinner time.
There was only ONE server for the whole time. She had at least 6 tables of four diners each. It took 20 min to be served water, had to ask for bread because it was taking so long to order our food. The entrees were delicious!
When we all finished our plates, the server passed our table 5 times and never cleared the dirty plates. Even when she asked if we wanted dessert or coffee, she only cleared half of the table when we asked her to. She had only one hostess that did help and one food runner that wasn’t much help. Such a disappointment for a top rated dining establishment.
Always a great dining experience! This was a birthday dinner with some of our friends. We really enjoy coming to Krazy Kat's, and have been for over 20 years.
I had never dined at Krazy Kats but always heard it was highly regarded as a destination/special event place. Our "date night" was our special event, and for the most part we were impressed and happy with our meal. In keeping with the name of the restaurant, the decor is eclectic -- portraits and statues of cats, trendy mismatched chairs, moderate seating area. I read online the Vegetable Napoleon was one of their signature appetizers, but we were disappointed to find the vegetables were not cooked as much as we thought they should have been. In fact, I separated the slice of egg plant from the rest as it was almost raw. On the other hand, my avocado southwest salad was very good, nicely dressed and flavorful. We were offered a taste of the chef's goat meatloaf with a cherry chutney, also yummy. One of the menu features allows for diners to order small or large entree portions, meaning you could select the smaller portions and taste more dishes! Duck fat seared scallops with mango were amazing, and if they hadn't been my husband's dish instead of mine, I certainly would have eaten every bite. He also had good remarks about his ribs, but his baked potato was underdone. My lobster tail came with a side of hash, which I found too salty for my taste. We shared the key lime panna cotta for dessert, which seemed to be a favorite of the diners around us as well. Service was excellent, as we had both a waitress and an assistant who made sure our drinks were always fresh and our table was always clean. Food presentation was lovely, service was great, food was mostly good or outstanding.
This was our first visit, but won't be our last. The food was outstanding and the value for the meal was an unexpected delight. I thought the ability to have appetizer portions of main course items was thoughtful and a great way to try different things. Well done.
