Krazy Kat's at The Inn at Montchanin Village
We found Krazy Kat's on TripAdvisor and headed there for breakfast. Dining was in the sunny and bright side dining room. The service was excellent. The omlettes were seriously, the best we have ever tasted - just delicious! The coffee was also really good. Finally, we thought the costs were extremely reasonable. We will definitely return to Krazy Kat's whenever we are in the area.
Absolutely terrific dinner! Delicious food at extremely reasonable prices. Our server - LT - was an absolute delight. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The service and food were excellent!
I especially appreciated the ability for 70yr olds to park close to the restaurant. All of my fellow diners appreciated that as soon as we pulled up. Everything about the restaurant was perfect. One little thing is the seating in the outside room, the chairs are such that you feel as though you are sitting too low. This was not a big deal but if you want to go over the top that would be the only thing you could improve.
Excellent food! Appreciated the three course meal for variety, quality, and price. Excellent bottle of wine for $20. Lovely atmosphere.
Thank you so much for the 5 star review, hope to see you soon....
Krazy Kat's is a beautiful restaurant. The servers were very nice, but the food took quite a while to show up. My husband and I ordered chopped salads, which were tasty but quite small, as were the chicken and salmon portions we ordered with them. My niece adored her pork belly toast. Nice place for a birthday celebration, but next time I go for one of the brunch items.
Loved our experience! Very cool place, incredible service, great wine and fun vibe.
First time there. Enjoyed a late dinner. Food quality is excellent. Staff was friendly.
Thank you for the review...
Booked early to make a concert at Longwood. Waitstaff and kitchen were very accommodating and helped us eat and run! Delicious food, lovely environment. We love Krazy Kats!
Our server Crystal was a sweetheart and the prix fixe menu was worth every penny. Montchanin village is so quaint and cozy.
Thank you for taking the time for a shout out.
My wife and I expected a delicious meal in a unique setting and that is exactly what we got at Krazy Kats. The dining room is on the smaller side which creates a more intimate atmosphere. The menu is on the smaller side as well which helped us make our food choices that much easier. The chef's choice snack was a welcome addition and a nice way to bridge our appetizers and our meal. Finally, they have an impressive wine and cocktail list and we happily split a bottle of the reserve Malbec. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a not so normal dining experience.
Food quality is slipping. Missing the love in its creation that it once had. Salad seemed like bagged-lettuce.. Some items were over-salted-just abt edible. They dont keep their reds at proper chill temp.
The entire dining experience was perfect. Great server, Taylor; who was very attentive but not hovering. The courses were perfect in portion, taste and presentation. Will most surely return in the near future.
Everything from top to bottom was amazing!
My wife and I had a wonderful evening out at Krazy Kats. The short ribs were superb as were the crab cakes. We loved the fact that the restaurant was quiet . Far too many places these days are so loud you have to shout to be heard above the noise and blaring TVs. Our server was excellent and attentive. I would recommend d Krazy Kats to anyone.
Excellent wine list - good value, modest mark up.
It was a miserable rainy night but our dinner at Krazy Kat's more than made up for the weather. Great food, warm friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere will guarantee our returning a sure thing.
Great service and food.
Thank you so much for the 5 stars and comments.
Very quiet, cozy, upscale restaurant for a special occasion or a very nice dinner out. My wife and I ate here for our anniversary and were very happy with our choice. Our waitress was terrific. Just a side note: Mixed drink prices are expensive.
Just a delightful place for dinner. Food was good. Service was good. Enjoyable evening.
Very disappointed in the service from the hostess Camilla. Disrespectful to say the least.
Waiter was nice. Assistant waiter dropped many utensils without excusing himself.
Food was ok. Dessert for my son’s birthday was a nice gesture.
Thank you for your review and we will speak with the hostess and also the person helping your server. I am so sorry this happened and hopefully you will give us another chance.
Lunch is a great value: soup and half a sandwich for $10! The crab bisque was delicious and loaded with crabmeat. The pastrami sandwich was perfect. One waiter served the entire room and he did it calmly and professionally. I’ll definitely go back!
Thank you for your review and I am so glad you enjoyed everything.
Atmosphere is pleasant and subdued, relatively quiet. Food is above average and creative. Nice for romantic dinner. Service is excellent.
Thank you for your review and we look forward to seeing you again.
Lovely restaurant. I especially like that you can order a petite serving of most items. This way you have room to sample many different courses. Great cheese course.
Thank you for your review and I am so glad you enjoyed everything.
As always, the food was amazing. They had just changed to the fall menu.
But, the service here is rarely on par with the food quality and this experience from a service perspective was likely the worst we have experienced yet over the past 10 years. It put a damper on our anniversary celebration.
We continue continue to come back for the superb food knowing not to expect great service. The food is worth it!
I am glad you enjoy the food and we are working on the service. We need you to enjoy both.
The lunch menu is creative, yet not expensive. There were 6 in our group so a variety of food was ordered and we all concluded our meals were delicious. Our server was excellent. She was friendly, patient, and timely. The decor is outstanding and comfortable. Our only complaint would be the parking.
We live only about a mile from Krazy Kat's and yet we had never been to dinner there before. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised! Everything was wonderful. They are very accommodating and they will modify any dish for allergies, etc., if possible. There are many gluten free, vegan, or vegetarian choices all plainly marked on the menu. You can also opt to try 2 different entrees by choosing two 1/2 portions. Although this was our first visit, it won't be our last. We'll be back soon!
I am so happy that you enjoyed yourself at Krazy Kat's and hope to see you soon.
This was our first time visit. The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly , the service prompt, the meal well paced, and the noise level so low that you could talk in normal voice. Would go again and recommend it to others.
The restaurant is very pretty and unique in its decor. The food was excellent and service was great. Terrific place for a special occasion. It’s tucked away and private. It is quiet but not uncomfortable. However not a place for high energy loud night out.
A little hard to find, unique dacore, service very attentive, food was very good too. Like you can order entree or half size entree. Drinks made well.
it was my b-day din-din and my friend n i had s0o0o0o much FUN!
Everything was delicious. Really nice service.
I've been a loyal customer of Krazy Kats since its inception 14 years ago and it remains my favorite Wilmington area restaurant. I continue to recommend it to friends and business associates. The ambiance is terrific and the menu changes often enough, offering a variety of seafood and meat items along with a new Vegan addition. The "split entrees" are a wonderful feature allowing guests to experience two entrees or a half entree if they are aren't very hungry or saving room for dessert. However, lately, I noticed a VERY significant turnover in waitstaff over the last year and really miss the reliable "regulars" that were amazing but seem to have been dismissed. The result is a drop off in the quality of service, attention. and customer focus. The split entrees were served simultaneously the other evening rather than sequentially, allowing one to "cool off" while dining on the other.
My wife and I came here Tuesday Evening for a late Birthday dinner. Neither of us had ever been to Krazy Kat's. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, especially the décor as we are big animal lovers. The food was delicious and our waitress, Taylor, did an awesome job serving us. We decided to do 3 main dishes, and sampled from each. We overall had a superb experience and would definitely come back for special events or even a nice night out.
Thank you! It was my husband's 80th birthday and we learned of your restaurant from Gilga, the innkeeper of the Kennett House, in Kennett Square. Dinner was just lovely. The ambiance was charming. The noise level was perform for hearing impaired people. The best Apple Crisp we have ever tasted. The service was perfect. We had a lovely evening which was just what his grateful wife was hoping for. Thank you for all.
The decor is kitschy. I like the two very different rooms—one more formal, the other more airy and informal. The “prix fix” dinner options were actually the perfect serving sizes and quite delicious. Not sure why I had never gone there before a previous visit a week ago, but will definitely add to my list of dining options.
Our server was very attentive and the restaurant was attractive. But we found our beet salad appetizer rather unexciting. The crunchy chickpeas didn’t adhere to the fork with the greens and there was very little beet. My husband ordered the duck breast medium rare per the server’s suggestion but it arrived very rare and he thought the sauce was too sweet. I liked my venison but the carrots were rubbery.
Thank you for the review and I apologize that your beet salad and your husbands dinner wasn't cooked as requested. I will pass on that you were very happy with the server and you liked the restaurant. We are happy to announce that the new fall menu will be rolled out October 9th while we welcome our new Chef Dan. Looking forwarded to having you come and try the new menu.
This was my first time at this restaurant. I thought it was pleasantly quiet, clean and the decor was very unique. The food was delicious, I ordered the crab cakes. I will be returning.
Thank you for the 5 stars and taking the time to give us a review.
We went on Bistro night but regular menu is also available, which my husband ordered from. Service was very good as was food. Would recommend ensuring background music is playing -- very quiet when we arrived, and thermostat set comfortably. It was a bit chilly. Cappuccino was very good.
Food was excellent, lunch soup and sandwich is a bargain. Service efficient without being pushy. Nice place to catch-up with friends.
Thank you for the review and hope to see you soon.
