Contemporary French
The Hoquet's hail from Burgundy, France, where they owned The Moustier restaurant for 16 years. Over the years, they started to vacation in various places across America, and they fell in love with the east coast of Florida. The two decided it was time for a new endeavor, and when they discovered that Krave Restaurant was looking for new owners, the couple jumped at the opportunity for a new challenge.
Chef David was formally trained for three years in a French culinary school. He has won awards as a pastry chef and has worked with some of the most notable chefs and in awarded restaurants in France before starting his own restaurant. He has brought some of his signature dishes to the new menu at Krave Restaurant. The infusion of French and American cuisine means that guests will have more to choose from than ever.
While Chef David prepares your food in the kitchen, his wife, Delphine, and Krissy take care of everything else so that you can thoroughly enjoy your evening wit

Love, love, love this restaurant as do anyone we bring to join us! The hostess and her staff are very attentive and the food outstanding!

We ate the pork medallions and lamb shank. Both were delicious but the Highlight of the meal was the desert. My wife had the noouget And I had the strawberry special. Deserts are as good as anywhere. We would wholeheartedly recommend.

Comfortable small restaurant with superbly prepared food. Lamb shank and cobria dishes excellent. Nougat dessert memorable. Wine list fairly priced. Salads a B+ overall a winner!

Delphine and David have put together a gem of a restaurant. The food is consistently superb. The service is attentive and friendly. While small, the wine selection is creative and stimulating. While small, the space is comfortable. The two biggest deals are Delphine, who is beautiful, friendly, interesting and David, who is a brilliant, classically trained French chef.

Our service was much slower than we had experienced in the past. The restaurant was full and we had a larger group than other tables who were served before us.

The food was outstanding, as it always is. Our table of six had at least four different entrees and some appetizers. All were rated delicisiou.

My wife and I go to Krave at least once per week ( we eat out 7x weekly). It has quickly become one of our favorites, displacing some old standbys. The couple who operate it are experienced restauranteurs from Burgundy so the cuisine is authentic French adapted to American ingredients such as the delicious local Cobia that I frequently combine with the very French escargot appetizer. This week we took my son and another local friend and they both said they would add it to their local dining choices. They do not have a liquor license but have a good very reasonably priced selection of wines.

Krave Restaurant is a hidden gem—a fabulous little French restaurant located in a strip mall in Tequesta, FL. Their food is excellent, gourmet food. My friend and I enjoyed a delicious amuse bouche before our wonderful appetizers of escargot and tuna tartare arrived, followed by our entrees of duck breast and salmon meunière. The duck breast was tender and succulent, and the salmon was the best salmon I have ever had! It was so moist that it almost melted in your mouth, and the sauce was great. We were served a wine granita after dinner—so refreshing. I can’t wait to return to sample some more of their culinary delights even though the restaurant is 30 miles from where I live.

Our meals were delicious. The hostess/server was amiable, competent and attentive. My wife's dietary preferences were easily, nicely accommodated and her birthday was tastefully acknowledged.

The only suggestion would be to have them stagger their reservation times so guests arrive at different times so as not to put too much pressure on the chefs. the wait time between placing an order and receiving your meal seemed a bit too long. Can't wait to go back.

Krave is our best find in more than 6 months. We wanted fine dining French restaurant for New Year's Eve. PERFECT! The food was EXCELLENT. Creative menu, different ( pleased my wife) Enough dishes that I could understand and enjoy (simple taste). My wife had scallops in a light white sauce as an appetizer which she insisted was so terrific that she argued for licking the plate as socially appropriate. I had a coconut shrimp appetizer that was so much better than any coconut shrimp dish I have ever had that it is not fair for them to share the name. She had the Cobia and I had pork tenderloin with a mushroom sauce that affirmed my wife's feelings about not leaving any sauce remaining on the plate. The portions were large and the price very reasonable for the quality. The service was excellent. Delphine the French wife of the French chef handles the front of the very small and lovely appointed restaurant. There are only about 10 tables and the reservations are appear to be staggered to enhance the quality of the service. Even on NYE, there were no gaps in service and the food was served hot.

Honestly I cannot say enough about this restaurant. If you do not try it you are really, really missing out on a wonderful dining experience!

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Krave Restaurant tonight. The home made foie gras was very tasty and well accompanied with fig bread. Then I enjoyed the duck breast which was very well cooked. Our party enjoyed all the dishes and a good assortment of wine. Definitely a place to recommend.

The food and the service were both great at Krave. We had a small group of 5 and had a good time. Two minor "criticisms"....a) it was a bit stuffy in the resturant. Its a small space with no air flow b) the menu was a bit limited. I understand the kitchen staff is only a staff of one but i think a few more options may be well received.

Overall though, we really liked the food, the service and wine were great and we will be back.

Krave is a wonderful hidden gem not to be missed. We celebrated Christmas here, food and service is really wonderful. The owners are charming and attentive. Don’t be fooled by location or storefront, best food in The Jupiter area by far. Very intimate, cozy so perfect for many occasions. Thank you!!!

Our dinner at Krave was surprisingly great. I have been to many French restaurants that substitute too much butter for sophistication and subtlety. Not at Krave. The food was rich, yet balanced. The food was distinguished, without being fussy. And the owners were delightful.

Outstanding! This restaurant offers an intimate, sophisticated and friendly atmosphere combined with a menu offering creative sumptuous dishes. We had the caesar salad with a light garlic dressing that was not overwhelming as many salads are, and lamb shanks that melted in your mouth with a bed of carrots that complimented the lamb. Our dessert was a tarte normande that had a perfect crust filled with apples and seasonings. Our cabernet was rich yet smooth rounding off a perfect meal. Finally the bill was quite reasonable for the quality of food and service. If you like true French cuisine, Krave is a restaurant for you.

An authentic French Restaurant. The owner is the chef and his wife is everywhere but the kitchen, making sure the customers are happy and properly attended. At the south end of the mall. A palm tree hides the name of the restaurant. Great experience. Corkage free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A gastronomic gem

The Restaurant is run by a charming young French couple. The food was very good, well spiced and generous. The service was excellent and they had a well priced wine menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant. One draw back is the location in an ugly strip mall and the decor of the restaurant could use some help. But well worth a visit

Daphne and David the purple from Burgundy who own the restaurant are a very welcome addition to the area dining scene. The restaurant is a weekly stop for us and this past week we found 8 of our neighbors there, all of whom were delighted with their meals and were ready to return. My favorite fish is the cobia with the puttanesca sauce, a thick piece of fish with a delicious sauce.

Food was very good but the service outstanding. It gets noisy but we arrived early so not too bad. They have some 1/2 booths where the tables are beyond tiny- we avoided those. We would go back. Portions were ample and creative.

A quaint French Bistro in a strip mall! Food was delicious and good service. Beef tenderloin was moist and the cobia fresh. The fruit nougat dessert was creative and unique. A taste of Burgundy in Tequesta.

We crave for more Krave! The hostess/waitress who may have been the owner was charming. I ate the special mahi which was delectable and an adequate portion even for my copious appetite. My wife had the tortelinni appetizer which burst with flavor. The tornadoes of beef was perfectly prepared and as fine a piece of similar meat as we have ever enjoyed and we have frequented the finest New York steakhouses.

Perhaps the best part of the dinner was the desert namely the frozen nouguet which we shared with a perfectly blended espresso. Highly recomended!!

Just when I thought it could not get any better, sweet breads!! Most certainly this is not a dish for everyone, but when they are prepared well they are sublime. And that’s how it was at Krave the other night.

I have no idea how David and Delphine do it, but Krave is still, even after over a year, far and away the best restaurant around.

People are figuring this out. It was really busy the night we were there. So my dining tip is to make reservations in advance, so you won’t lose out on a great evening.
