Kosar's Wood-Fired Grill
Service was really slow and it was not crowded. The food seems to have gone down in quality since becoming part of MGM. Used to value Kosars as one of best places for steak in Cleveland- really disappointing.
We have eaten in this beautiful setting several times and the food is always amazing.
This is the only time we’ve ever had poor service. Our waitress, Jessica, was unfriendly (literally did not speak to us other then one or two word responses) and she got the order wrong for several of us. Aside from the original glass of water, no one ever refilled our empty glasses.
Great food and service.
Overpriced food was subpar considering the prices. We were attending a concert that night, with a start time of 8:00 our reservations were for 4:45
Our waiter rushed us to place our order saying we didn’t want to miss the show. Level of service did not meet expectations.
The only complaint was that our waitress did not tell us about salad bar. It was our first time there and we were not aware of salad bar as the salad bar was listed as from the farm on menu and we realized it when others ordered it.
Great food. Wish the salad bar wasn't extra. Good choices.
Although the steak was very good it was overpriced, our server was hardly around, folks next to us waited over an hour and they ended up taking their food to go ...and the place was almost empty! It took about 20 minutes to get our order taken and it took another half hour or so to get our dinners. This was a Thursday night. The bus boy was telling the other table that “this is why I’m not a server “ because of it taking so long and he said “I’ve asked for a transfer.... haaaaate it here “ So much for ambiance and employee satisfaction not to mention customer satisfaction. All around we were disappointed, not sure if we would give it another try. We would need to be swayed to do so.
Way over priced for the quality of food and service. Steaks were ok but not worth $50 each.
We were celebrating my husband and son in laws birthday. All of our dinners were excellent and service was impeccable. As a result of a bad experience for my 70th birthday last November, we were invited back. From the moment we arrived we were treated professionally and I really appreciated the effort. Kozars staff definitely went all out For this celebration.
We went on a bad day. The exhaust fan over the grill was broken, so we couldn't order steaks. They only offered seafood or pasta, not what we went to Kosar's for. The 4 entrees we ended up having were, lobster, salmon, shrimp scampi and the seafood duo of scallops and shrimp. All 4 entrees were good, but the seafood duo was warm, not hot. The service was good, but nothing complementary was offered to make up for the limited menu. One thing diners should be aware of, is that Kosar's charges $5 for each cup of coffee, no free refills. Our party of 4 spent $50 on coffee. I'd recommend Kosar's when the full menu is offered, but beware of the refill charges.
Great get together for my Mom and Uncle’s birthdays and an anniversary. Several us opted for the filet special which included the soup and salad bar and a dessert for $39.99. Steaks done to perfection and the 2 others had the veal piccata. The risotto with their meals was very salty, but the piccata was great. We were graciously served a complementary anniversary lemon cake and the chocolate dessert that came with the mid week filet special was superb. Our only issue was the 2 hour dinner. With only 4 other tables in the whole place, we don’t know why everything took so long. Regardless, love Kosar’s
Pricey - $8 French fries. Sides are very pricy. Not always a fan of a la carte menu. $50 steak - should come with something else in the plate.
Jack was our server and he was a delight. Very knowledgeable and helpful - very attentive.
Great place! We ate here before our show, it was perfect.
The food we had was delicious but the prices were so high for what we got.
My daughter was charged for a bottle of wine and she ordered a glass!! Reviewed bill next day, called the restaurant and they said they’d credit my card. We shall see.
My salmon was not cooked, the steak was overdone. The server was terrible. Did not care for it and it was my birthday.
Because of traffic we were 17 minutes late and the hostess told us they released our reservation. She was VERY rude and unfriendly. The restaurant was basically empty and she put us at a two top in the first row by the bar where it was very loud. Our experience was negative from the start. You need to hire friendly welcoming hostesses since these are the first people who should greet and welcome you and set the tone for your visit. The prices are expensive and to be treated this way is unacceptable. Thankfully our waiter was more friendly. The food was good, but a bit too smoky for us. The manager was walking around but didn’t once check in with any customers and ask how they were doing. Training on friendliness is needed at this place for sure!
Lamb chops and Skirt steak were outstanding! Great drinks and service as well!
The waiter needs training. Everything else was great.
Great food good service
Have eaten there every year for our anniversary. Have not had a bad experience yet. Love the place! The food is tremendous!
Everything was excellent. I would suggest that you take that online menu down since we were informed that you no longer sell any sandwiches. People need to understand that although it is an awesome experience for a special occasion you should not come here with less than $150 (2 guests) and that does not cover drinks or dessert! But, again , if money is not an issue the food and service are out of this world!!!!
It was our 35th wedding anniversary and our First time eating at Kosar’s and visiting the casino, great atmosphere, service was good Tony was very nice food tasted good as well as the deserts
The hostess greeted us immediately and quickly assisted us to our seats. The wait staff was friendly and informative, polite and attentive. The food was prepared perfectly, and presented in an attractive manner. The price is slightly on the high side, but overall, it was a fine experience.
Too expensive, everything else is great, just way too expensive.
you changes the menu from amish chicken with sweet potato pancake to a rice , which is not by far the best please bring back the sweet potato pancake with the amish chicken
I hate to say we were disappointed, because we love Bernie Kosar, but it was disappointing. Food was very bland and overpriced for the quality of food. We won’t be returning
My wife and I went to Kosar's on a Monday evening. We were immediately greeted and seated upon arrival at the entrance. The waitstaff was very attentive and informative without being intrusive. The food was delicious. My wife heartily recommends the Long Island Duck Spring Rolls. We would dine here anytime.
Food way over priced you could get better prime rib at Outback Steak House for better taste and price Service was terrible and it was not very busy would Not go back Cost was 90.00 for 2 prime rib and you would expect for that price it to be wonderful but was not and 1 mashed potato 1 ice tea and 1 coffee
Not up to par! New chef? Cold food and Parmesan potatoes in small pieces and in a bowl?
The staff did an amazing job with us during a very busy day.
Great meal, great service. Noise was somewhat of a problem because of the casino but we did ok.
I loved my Crab legs and garlic mashed potatoes. We were not given any back ground or history of your restaurant. I thought the waitress would share about the memorbila and the great photos of Bernie Kosar. Disappointed! My party had a steak and the knife could hardly cut through. It was dull. Also the waitress never said anything about the salad bar. I expected more from the staff.
I was not expecting a great restaurant, but that is what I got. Our steaks were cooked perfectly something I rarely get to experience. Service was good not outstanding. The price was very fair and competitive. Kosar’s will certainly be at the top of my list when looking for a steak. The cocktails were wonderful too, but a tad pricey.
This was my second visit. The food is outstanding! My family celebrated my son's 30th birthday (a huge Browns' fan). Our server was funny, knowledgeable and attentive. You should go. You won't be disappointed. Definitely plans to go back in the near future. Plus, it's located inside the MGM Casino.
We had another awesome meal at Kosar's Wood Fired Grill. Food and service are always fantastic.
Atmosphere and food was excellent. Definitely will be going back!
Prime Rib was huge but over seasoned and smokey. Everything is spa carts and very pricey
Us non gamblers don’t have the winnings to support the prices regularly
Awesome experience will definitely be back! Celebrated mine & my wife's 15yr anniversary there.
Very heavy on garlic. Menu very limited.
