Brunch was excellent as well as our server John. I will definitely be back soon.

The chopped salad was excellent. My new craving. The service could have been a little better. It was ok but a lot of time went by between his stops.

Worst experience we have had here in a long time. Our drink orders were wrong. Our appetizer wasn’t brought out until our meals were and that was also wrong. The server very rarely came to the table. When we got the check we also had to remind them to take off the free appetizer we had. When we were ready to pay we had to wait another 30 minutes for him to return to process our payment. Not once did he send a manager over or apologize for any of the many issues we experienced. It was a really terrible experience and we won’t be back to this location.

Great Dinner and atmosphere, easy reservation and friendly staff. Dog friendly if you sit outside which is nice.

Food was delicious and excellent service from Cassie with some great suggestions.. Plenty of heaters spaced around the deck, felt comfortable sitting outdoors. All service staff wearing masks was a plus.

Chloe was an amazing server. She was enthusiastic, personable, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to make recommendations and made our dinner very pleasant. Kudos for the wonderful service at Kona Grill!

Everything at Kona is wonderful. Brunch was amazing and not typical. They have great drinks and an excellent Happy hour with a lot of choices. Highly recommend *

Our server Fernando was awesome. He was our server on December 25th and we came back on January 1st and requested him. The service was top notch. The ambience was great with a DJ that played a mix of music from the 70's to present. It was my mom, sister and 8 yr old niece and everyone enjoyed the music. I can't say anything about the food. It is always consistent. We loved our meals the flavors were on point and we all have different taste from pizza and mash for my niece to the NY special of short ribs, regular menu pork chops and salmon. It was fantastic. Will definitely visit again when I am in Tampa.

This was my first time here at the Kona Grill. The menu is an interesting mix of sushi bar meets southwest USA. They offer several sushi / shashimi ‘starters’, and rolls.
They also offer fried calamari and tempura shrimp.
I had the tempura shrimp roll, which was more like an entree; 12 pieces. For a main course, I had the boneless pork chops with mango papaya salsa. This was a huge portion: 2thick chops, served with braised collard greens. The large bar doesn’t have s blender, so cocktails are poured out of pre mixed cans, like pop top beer cans. No way to order specific spirits.

Christmas Day

Wonderful experience with delicious food, and a spectacular server Raymond. Not cheap but worth the $$

I've never left a restaurant feeling hungry until I had dinner at Kona's on Christmas day. The Sea bass was over priced. My order had to be made over because it was pork in my fried rice which I asked not to add due to allergies. They remade the rice and added the same sea bass that had the pork next to it. By the time my order was corrected the seabass was cold and I was afraid to eat it. The server asked if I wanted to order a new meal but at that point I was over it. I just paid the bill and tried to make reservations at another nearby restaurant that may have been open on Christmas day. The Server was nice and I appreciate her taking time away from her family on Christmas to work.

Dirty table and dirty cups. Food under seasoned and salad dressing was bad. It was made with sugar but they burned the auger and it was not eatable. Will not go there again.

The Avocado Egg-Rolls are to die for! My lady had the Kona Stir Fry and was very happy. I had the Pork Chops and was also pleased.

The food was excellent. Our server was energetic and interrupted conversations. The music was very loud.

The ambiance was very pleasant but the food was just okay. Our meatball app was cold and undercooked. The fries were barely warm. The ribeye was bland and thin. The California roll was too salty. The sangria was so sweet I couldn’t drink it.

Outdoor dining option with plenty of safe spacing.

Very nice outdoor seating. Heat lamps take the chill off in the evening. Need valet service.

The food was excellent, but the service left much to be desired. Waited 15 minutes before our waiter even came to the table. Long stretches between courses. I ordered a sparkling water and the waiter dropped off the bottle after a long while without providing a glass, so we had to track him down to get one. Not a deal breaker in terms of returning, since the food was quite good, but a disappointment overall. Restaurant was only moderately busy, so there is no excuse.

We enjoyed the thanksgiving meal. Our server was great. He was friendly and attentive. The food was good and at a great price point. We’ve never been there before but will absolutely go back. It’s within walking distance so that’s a nice plus now that the weather is cooler.

The waiter didn’t check on us. We waited for water almost the whole dinner; he said the pumpkin pie was homemade but it was cold and without a doubt bought. For $12 a slice it wasn’t even a good store bought pie. Asked if the beef in the French dip was tender and was told it was shaved from ribeye. Ya no ! It was tough, thick sliced and smothered in hot horseradish- no Swiss cheese and the au jus was a very oily hot dip. I didn’t take more than a small taste and when he picked up the plates he didn’t say a word about why I didn’t eat anything. The mimosas were not any good either- how can you ruin a mimosa?

Kona Grill offers pleasant and quality outdoor dining which is a big benefit during this pandemic. They also take reservations for eating outdoors which many restaurants do not. (Indoor dining too, of course.) The menu has creative and healthy selections.

Kona Grill practiced masks and safe distancing protocol. The meal was delicious, the service was excellent and we had no concerns about COVID during our meal.

Great dinner, we arrived earlier than our scheduled reservation and they graciously accommodated us immediately. It was great to see how they followed social distancing recommendations for pandemic changes. The food was FANTASTIC! We had a great time! Spicy tuna roll highly recommended.

We had dinner on the patio right by the pond and the location was quite nice. They had the music cranked very loud and it was distracting, but not overwhelming. Food tasted great and our orders were correct. I would say that it’s just a bit over priced for what you get, but overall a good experience.

We love going to Kona Grill! The food and service is always amazing.
