    Didn't get a chance to order. Even with a reservation, it took about 15 minutes to get a table together. Waitress came over within 10 minutes, not too bad. But took awhile to get drinks. Almost right after she sat the drinks on the table. The manager, I'm assuming, came over and asked if we could move. After watching the disorganization and arguing with where we were going to be sitting at the beginning, left a bad taste in ours mouths. We got up and left.

    Considering it was Mother’s Day the food still took a long time to get to our table and they constantly kept bringing food to us that wasn’t for our table. The servers we’re definitely overwhelmed with the amount of people the had to service. Food was great, rich in flavor, and nice in portion. Overall it was an ok experience, I’d be willing to go again on a evening that isn’t Mother’s Day to see if the service is better.

    Sliders were good, but everything else wasn't that great. Servers were nice and possibly overwhelmed with the crowd as it was mother's day. Would have to try maybe once more on a regular night before recommending.

    What can I say about Kona Grill on Mother's Day...it was busy, it was slightly louder than normal but it was Fantastic. I am writing this review mainly for Kelsey, our server. Kelsey was professional, funny, but most of all attentive. All of our orders came out to perfection, any additional requests were fulfilled and she was really good about being the tie-breaker when it came to dessert choices. LOL We enjoy dining at Kona because of the atmosphere as well as the food selection and will continue to come back.

    Took my wife to Kona for her birthday/mothers day. They even offered her a rose! The music was pretty loud but not too much, you can hear yourself talk just fine. Food and drinks were AMAZING and our server was quick! Definitely making this a regular spot for me and my wife. Try the Moscow Mule drink!!!!!!

    Maybe it was the Mothers day rush but the wine glasses were spotted, the edamame was over salted and the macadamia chicken was greasy and tasteless (the server did remove it from the check). add this to the screaming children and it adds up to a less than desirable experience.

    Mother’s Day - we got there a little before 3 for a 315 RSVP and we’re told they were running behind but they would do their best - and they sat us early! We were sat on the patio in the sun and it was unbearable so we asked to move and were accommodated. Marvin who was working as a busser/host/setup guy was AMAZING and deserves to be recognized for going over and above to help the service staff. He got silverware, helped us move, got us all more water and delivered our food. I don’t know what his official title is other than taking excellent care of customers. Regardless of his title, he should be a FOH manager. He was fantastic and without him it would have been a disaster. It’s Mother’s Day, and you’re busy, so we forgive a lot, but he saved the day! Way to go, Marvin!

    Even after making reservations via Opentable, the restaurant reservations’ staff member called to confirm and answered my questions. The front desk gentleman was kind, patient and calm during a hectic timeframe. Our server Simone was knowledgeable, social, efficient and appreciative, and managed our expectations. Because our appetizer arrived after our entre, “ the manager,” offered it gratis- great customer service, unsolicited. Thank You

    We had celebrated Mother's Day at Kona before but never had found it so loud or busy. Our reservation was nearly 45 minutes late. We still had a good time together but such a long wait to be served. Our server was wonderful! She was really stretched out caring for everyone but still kept a close eye on our needs.

    I made and reservation for 1:30 they made wait standing there for 42 minutes ,then when I asked the front men about it he said 'oppp it look like someone else have your table ,and went a got me another one .when I got the server she was horrible ,brought me the soda and water ,no straw, no napkins .later it was a woman putting silverware in every table but mine ,then asked her about one for me ,they finally served my avocado rolls ,and 3 more sodas and WATERS BUT THE FOOD NEVER CAME .everyone who sat after us got the food but us .the server apologies for the situation and then asked me if I would like bread and butter while I wait for the food .it never happened, never Brough me the bread .....I was so mad ,I got up and when to get the manager (who can careless, no compassion at all, cold as ice )and asked to let me pay what I eat to go home and he let me walk away without pay ,but no sorries.no trying to fix it ,,,,,nothing at all',,,,,,so my poor mother and I went house on a Mother's Day without lunch,,and lets don't talk about the margarita that it was served on a ugly glass and I think the forgot the alcohol; lol lol ,it was a bad experience.never ever go there again.

    Came here for Mother’s Day. Huge mistake! The staff, including our server Devin, were amazing and working so hard with very limited resources, but the manager and owners of this location should be ashamed. We waited an hour for our reservation. Once at our table we waited an hour for drinks from the bar and over 3 hours for food. Our server was lovely and trying so hard and the poor kitchen was working so hard, but they literally ran out of everything from market fish to prime rib to steak sauce. My father in law is diabetic and requested some chips or bread as he was feeling faint and we were told there was nothing available. The food was great when it came out and again, the manager should give every hard working server a raise, but the management was a disaster. A huge waste of $200 and I would never ever go back or recommend this place to anyone.

    We waited 45 minutes for a table with a reservation. Our table was given away so we were sat in a section that turned out to not be assigned to a waiter. We flagged someone down after sitting there for about 20 minutes and nobody came to greet us. We then waited 2 hours for our food. I would not go back to this place ever again.

    Mother’s day - Reservations were for 12:30 pm. Got seated at 1:05pm. Ordered 1st round of drinks. They didn’t arrive until 25 minutes later. Mimosas were not chilled and served in a tumbler glass. Waiter went AWOL for another 20+ minutes so I got up and walked to Bar to order another round of our chosen drink. The female bartender advised that they were 1 hour behind in serving table tickets for drink orders. Subsequently, she could not accommodate us to the drinks unless the waiter put in the order. She said that the drink order was so backed up that they literally had to tape the table tickets to the wall there at the bar. Our waiter eventually showed up and we ordered the other round of drinks. Those Mimosas were again served in glass tumblers and not chilled. Our food orders were taken at approximately at 1:45. The family sitting next to us got up a left and to my surprise stopped to tell me “Good Luck”, we’re leaving because we ordered our food over an hour ago and we still haven’t been served. 45 minutes into our wait since ordering food, the waiter comes to us and advised that one dish we ordered was not available. A substitute dish was ordered. Over the 1 hour mark since ordering our food, it arrived ...... only without the substitute dish was ordered. A hostess walked by and noted that everyone at our table had their food except one person. She went to the kitchen and retrieved that substituted order which was apparently forgotten about. After completing our meals and waiting to pay our bill which took for ever, we left the restaurant 3 hours later at 3:30. I’m somewhat familiar with “execution” in the restaurant business. It’s about getting customers in your store, getting them seated, serving them in a efficient timely manner and most importantly, having them experience an occasion that will want them to come back over and over again. Sorry to say it but this occasion will be my last occasion at Kona Grill. What a disaster !!

    The service was awful for Mother's Day Brunch. Our waitress was out in a precarious position. She had to continue to apologize for something that wasn't her fault. Nonetheless, my mom and I continued to watch others seated long after us dining while we were patiently waiting. Then, when our neighbors said she couldn't believe we hadn't received our food yet, that's when I loss my patience. Finally my mom received her dish but the eggs were not prepared as she asked. To add, they brought a dish to me that I don't even eat...SPAM.🤮 The waitress sent the pseudo-manager out, and he was unapologetic. Instead of resolving the matter, he tried to get me to order something else...no thanks; my Mom was almost done with her incorrectly prepared food. I was just ready to leave. Upon leaving, I saw an ex-co-worker and she had even more to complain about. If a business cannot handle large volumes, stop offering specials on important days. The experience definitely put a damper on our celebration.

    I’m trying to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt nowadays while establishments are still working hard to fully staff. Unfortunately, Mothers Day brunch fell very short. We “dined” at Kona for over 2 hours, waited 20 minutes for our room temp mimosas, repeated twice the app we’d like only to have the wrong app brought out to us(we were told it was ringed in wrong), had to ask to order our food, then found out after I got up to seek a manager that it was never rang in after over 40 min of waiting. Luckily, there was a fantastic manager, Stephanie, who was very transparent and apologetic for our poor experience. She would make it right, get our food out, take care of our bill, and even invite us back for dinner at another time. She was very genuine when she said “This is NOT the experience any one of our guests should have.” Because of her and an amazing helper that was bussing, filling waters, and listening to other guests complaints and questions, we will be back to give Kona Grill another shot. There was potential in the food, I just believe they were entirely backed up due to the amount of guests filling the restaurant and possibly short staffing (not sure if that was a factor or not).

    Went here for Mother’s Day and we waited 90 minutes for our entrees. When we finally got our food, my mothers eggs Benedict was completely hard boiled in the middle, when we sent it back they gave her another plate and the eggs were still over cooked and this time there was no ham. When the manager came over (after us waiting for 20 minutes for him to come over to our table) he said that “on busy occasions like today we fully expect to Fall short on service.” He did comp my mothers food and gave her a free dessert but honestly there was not a meal that was correct. The kitchen has a see through window and you could see a bunch of plates with food just stacked up under a heat lamp waiting to be run out to tables. Our food was subpar at best and unfortunately our brunch turned into lunch by the time we got our food. We also ordered coffee and they said that they were waiting on coffee cups (to be washed) and so we waited AN HOUR for coffee and a cocktail. Unfortunately this restaurant was beyond disappointing and we won’t be back.

    The whole experience was awful. The waitress was missing the whole time and we waited forever for the food to arrive cold. The sushi was just alright, chicken sandwich was very dry with a hard bun, the Eggs Benedict was ice cold as if it was pre made the night before and taken right out of the refrigerator without being heated. As we were leaving people with reservations we’re waiting long times to be seated. It was terrible service all the way around and not prepared to serve Mother’s Day brunch. The Waffle House would have been much better expensive.

    The short simple and specific of our Mother’s Day weekend meal with our best friends at Kona Grill was it was horrible. We had requested a booth along the back wall where it would be quieter and allow for a nice conversation and though the booth I requested was in fact available we were seated instead at the busiest corner of the restaurant where we were subjected to a non-stop stream of servers, managers, and patrons who were screaming at the top of their lungs to be heard over the insane noise level. We waited for 10 minutes for our server to greet us and take drink orders and another 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive and to give our dinner order. An hour and 10 minutes later our meals arrived…with literally every steak cooked to the wrong temperature and half of the sides stone cold. Our server was clueless and inattentive, but was at least aware enough that we were unhappy that he did apologize and offered to bring us dessert on the house and against our better judgement we accepted and ordered 2 of their standard offerings…the brownie and butter cake. We tried to order cappuccino and decaf coffee…but were told neither was available. 30 minutes later we flagged our server down and asked about our complimentary desserts and after a 5 minute visit to the kitchen was told they apparently had “lost” our order and did we want to wait. We said no…keep the desserts and bring us the check…..10 more minutes and the check finally arrived and the last shred of our patience and good humor left. Believe it or not these are just the “low-lights” and there were actually several other disappointments during our insufferably long ordeal. We will NEVER go back and urge you to do the same.
