Severely over priced and bad service. This food is glorified bar food, and costs 3X what it should. Very disappointed and won’t be back.

We had a very large party of 26 parents and lacrosse players and Jason, our server, was extremely accommodating to our large group making the dinner that much more enjoyable. The food and drinks were great, but Jason and his manager’s accommodations made the dinner really spectacular.

We dined at Kona Grill tonight, and unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing experience. Here are our thoughts: Pros: •The crispy Brussels sprouts were tasty and well-prepared. •The bartender went out of their way to make me a special martini that wasn’t on the menu, which I appreciated. •The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. Cons: •I ordered a chopped salad with bacon, but what arrived was not a chopped salad. When we asked, we were told it was, but it didn’t include bacon and had far too much dressing for the amount of salad. •The sushi was a major letdown. It was tasteless, the fish looked dry and unappealing, and the presentation was sloppy. I’m honestly hoping I don’t get sick. •The fish and chips were shockingly overpriced at $47. The dish included two small, frozen fish fillets (I’m not even sure what kind of fish) and undercooked fries. •Service was incredibly slow. We waited for everything—from drinks to the check—and what should have been a one-hour meal stretched to two, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. When the manager asked how everything was, we shared our concerns. She did try to make amends by comping the salad, giving us $20 off, and offering a free slice of carrot cake (which was just okay). While the gesture was appreciated, it wasn’t enough to make up for such a bad meal. Sadly, we won’t be returning to Kona Grill. This was a disappointing dining experience.

The awful blue lights around the outside wall don’t do the food or the guests any favors. I ordered the Tuna poke bowl. The small pieces of tuna looked like liver. It did not pair well with the sushi rice underneath. Maybe they should try fried rice or some veggies. Edamame desperately needed salt. Server was great. It was Saturday night and I counted only 3 occupied tables.
