Before I even go in I was stopped in the door way while I’m holding the door open with a baby in my hands and asked if I had a reservation.. no how are you welcome in. Nothing. I couldn’t even get all the way in the door first before being stopped. The service was great though the waiter was on top of it. The food was nothing special and The atmosphere is more fit for a club then a fancy dining experience. I will probably never go here again.
5 star all around but the tables need serious repair.
This was our first time here. The food was very good, sushi menu had some unique rolls. The cocktail list was creative! Had a delicious sparkling sake! Our server Veronica was excellent!
We sat outside, per request. However, the music was so loud, we couldn't converse comfortably. It was much better after we asked to have the sound turned down. The food was OK, but nothing to rave about. My friend enjoyed his Pad Thai and my sushi and lettuce wraps were fine. However, my wife's Macadamia Nut Chicken was not as good as usual and her mashed potatoes were pasty and inedible. Our server was pretty much incompetent. She got my drink order wrong, served our friend's entree with the wrong side dish, and pretty much did not seem to know what she was doing.
It's not likely that we will go back, There are much better dining options in the area.
Sebastian waited on our table. He was very attentive and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed Happy Hour drinks and Appetizers for our Sisters Weekend Birthday Celebration!
It was comfortable space was easy to navigate with a little one. Waiter was helpful. Patient. Food was delicious.
Came in for a business meeting. Service and food always 5 Star!
The food and service were outstanding … will definitely return!
Had a business meeting. Requested a certain table and that was not an issue. Staff is very professional and the food is off the charts!
Disappointed. Food was ok, nothing special , fried rice soaked in oil, the Sea Bass was delicious , that and excellent server made up for the deficiencies. Considering all the nearby alternatives ,pass on this one. The interior of restaurant was tired, needs a refresh , tables all marked up, banquettes wearing. If you have a choice , choose one of the nearby alternatives. Won’t return to this location.
I was out with my women friends. We had a great time in large part because our server, Darling. She was so amazingly affable and spot on with service
Date night at Kona is always our spot!
Unfortunately the food was really undercooked. The prices do not reflect the food quality. Service was decent.
We have been here several times and have never been disappointed! Appetizers were all amazing- avocado rolls a true surprise, chicken satay, and potstickers a must. Sushi is always delicious. Several delicious drinks to enjoy throughout.
Our food was inventive and good. The space was open, full of light but I'm guessing it could be quite noisy when full (we dined off-peak). On the outside of a busy mall, so lots of parking and good for a reasonable, quick meal.
Major problem was that the place wasn't really clean. The high-tops' table surface was sticky. The restrooms were beautiful, but weren't kept up.
Love their food!!!
I always get the Chinese salad. Yum!
Kona Grill never disappoints! Food, Staff, and Cleanliness is always on point!
But the food and service were great
AC wasn’t working (97° outside) and both people at front desk could care less about anything. They stood there, not doing anything. Seemed unhappy to greet us. We had called 5x to say we were going to be a few mins late. Kept being put on hold, ‘Pls Wait’. Once getting there we expected a line out the door and that they were mobbed. Nope. They just didn’t feel like doing their job. Music was on 10. Horribly loud. The front smelled like Axe body spray. Would NEVER go back to a Kona Grill b/c of this experience. Walked over to Seasons 52 and the entire vibe was different. Friendly, polite, upbeat and we felt welcomed.
Food was delicious. Table and banquet sticky and dirty. Chair broken. Service rushed then stood still when computer system crashed. Had to wait 45 minutes to pay, no coffee, drinks or water offered because supposedly we were checking out. Music like a loud 60s disco. Lots of kids eating here, so it’s definitely family friendly.
If this had been my first and only time eating here, I would never go back. A friend and I ate lunch outside. She asked 3 times for them to turn DOWN the music. We were the only people out there for most of the hour plus. Never happened. The menu featured mostly "Rolls" No pictures. I asked the waitress to describe what the rolls looked like. No help there.... It wasn't until we were served, we discovered they were Sushi. Mine (Shrimp Tempura) was dry and tasteless. Very disappointing. Like I said, I would never go back, if I hadn't been before and liked my meal. That time, I ordered the specialty soup and a big lunch salad. Location and parking are good for me, but their pricing is high, especially for what we got. Wondering if getting good staff is affecting their service?
The food is predictable and the drinks are weak.
My daughter’s 16th birthday. The music was fun, but way too loud. Couldn’t speak to anyone at the table.
Always love Kona. This particular location could use a little love on the physical restaurant itself (lots of wear and tear in different places), but the food is always good.
There was noisy table with children right next to us...not anyones fault. The wait person did the best she could given the circumstances... I believe you were short staffed. I thought my call martini was expensive $12,...and didn't arrive as ordered.
A rather disappointing experience...I'm glad it's not the norm...
The food was great the service was slow.
Great place for date night. Me and my honey bun had a blast. Place is extremely clean. However, the tables are very sticky from the Chemicals used to clean during Covid. Service is top notch and the food is to die for.
My food and service were fine. Dinner guests meat was way overdone. Restaurant needs upgrading and cleaning. Ambience poor. Full of mosquitoes. We moved from Dallas where the restaurant is much nicer.
All in all typical quality for Kona. Good service.
Only negative. Outside fans and misters broken. Manage did attempt to open another door to let air con circulate a bit.
If you’re wanting outside eating venue, wait till fans are fixed.
Food is consistently great. Service was good as well.
We sat outside however the fans nor the mist were functioning. We noticed that since ownership change the overall experience is going south!
Very disappointed with our brunch at Kona Grill. The Food was below average. Our server, Matt was terrible. He mis-took our order and the appetizers were not put on the original order. Entrees came out, so/so and when reminded of Appetizers, it took another 14 minutes. Matt kept running his fingers through his hair, disgusting.
Date night with my wife was amazing! My favorite restaurant for affordable prices and excellent service.
If you want to go someplace you can hold a conversation, this is not the place! It was VERY noisy here! Food was good and the service was great! A bit pricey for what we ordered!
Second meal at Kona, our first having been brunch. The menu is well rounded and they describe it as a from scratch kitchen. We all had good meals that were flavorful and our server was upbeat, friendly and attentive.
The tables are disgustingly dirty and sticky, some of the booths are torn up and the service took forever. We were there for 2 hours and not because we wanted to be.
Service was very attentive to my fathers needs. Outdoor dining was nice. wish they can eliminate the flies. the it’s supposed to go light energy a setting for that it’s a setting to save energy this is bright you don’t like this we’re going to go to display and brightness to
The manager wouldn’t admit my drink had been prepared incorrectly. He argued with us about the drink even though he was not the one trying to drink it. He stated he knew how the drinks tasted because he has been drinking for 46 years. When he finally corrected the issue, he said it was on the house. We will not go back!
Food was very good, however it was very pricey. Restaurant didn’t have paper menus, so it made it difficult picking out dinner items off our phone. The atmosphere was very loud so it was difficult to have a conversation with each other. Server wasn’t the best. He forgot a few things I asked for. He didn’t ask how our meal tasted. He even asked me to hand him my plate when I was finished. Overall very disappointed.
