Overall a great experience.
Great food as always!
Great service and relaxed dining.
The sushi is amazing!! And our waiter was super nice. I wish they did something special for birthdays, but they don’t.
Not the place to enjoy a family dinner. Bar scene is very loud.
Very loud, but other than that a good experience. The food was great.
Filet quality was disappointing. Not worth the price. Long wait for the food, 45 minutes
We hit the Kona Grill before a concert at the Musical Instrument Museum nearby. We go to MIM a lot and have not found a lot of great restaurant options for a casual, tasty meal, so thought we would try this one. It is just fine, certainly no worse than anything else we have tried in the area, and actually quite a lot better than many of the other options. The food was decent. Our server Laura was delightful, and was by far the best thing about the place. I had the mahi-mahi, one of their house specials, and it was good. My husband had the salmon, ditto. The oriental chopped salad was very tasty. I can't see ever calling this place one of my favorites, but I would go there again. Nothing wrong at all, really, just nothing that makes me want to say the place is "excellent." We did not try the sushi, as we are not big sushi fans, but I think that someone who is would really like it.
Went to Kona grill for my daughters borthday! She wanted sushi! Although the food was ok xcellent our server was terrible! Waited for 10 minutes before he greeted us! Had empty water glasses most of the night! The kicker was when I reminded him we were celebrating a birthday which I clearly stated in the reservation he said oh sorry we don’t do anything for birthdays! In front of everyone including my daughter! We’ve been to several Kona grills and never experienced a problem! Will never go back to this location!!!
Our meal at Kona Grill was good. The servers were friendly and attentive. Our party had the sea bass, the Cuban sandwich and a gluten free fish entree. Everything was good, though the gluten free menu was pretty bland. The noise level in the front of the restaurant was pretty loud for conversation, but the back dining room was fine. Overall it was all good.
For a restaurant that specializes in "sushi", it was terrible - I sent the Las Vegas roll back, it was warm and mushy and tasted awful - the sushi overall was just really pathetic looking - I ordered 3 different rolls. My husband had a steak which was pretty good. The service was terrible.
We arrived and were sat at our table. 20 + minutes went by and no waiter. We had to track someone down. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Appetizers came within reasonable time however our drinks trailed approximately another 5 minutes. Our main course came ... and food was good, fresh and portion was just enough. As we were ready to pay the bill the waiter was not able to be found. AGAIN...had to track him down.
Portions were very small, service slow.
Great food! Very loud. Poor service. Took over an our to get food from the time we sat down. No discount on food for poor service. Manager realized we were having poor service and slow food delivery, but did nothing. Not impressed
We enjoyed a lovely evening at Kona Grill with Devon as our attendant.
We were an older group of 4, we often have trouble hearing in restaurants, who were seated as requested in a quieter area of the restaurant. Our friends had never been to a Kona Grill before, they found the menu and bar selections very appealing.
We had seen Devon in action a few weeks ago at a HOA get together at the Grill. Devon handled 40+ people with professionalism, efficiency and multiple checks. Devon is a spectacular representative for the Kona Grill and should be recognized for his efforts.
Thanks Devon and the Kona Grill for a lovely evening,
My daughter and I went there because she loves Sushi and it was my first time eating Sushi. It was really good. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. We had a really good time! We will be back soon. :)
This is the first time that I was at the Kona Grill. We were seated immediately and the service staff was very informative and made very good suggestions. Enjoyed the evening and will dine in there again in the future.
We ordered 4 different dishes for 4 people ( sushi, sandwich, salmon and jambalaya). All arrived at our table at the same time and were hot and delicious.
This is the second time me and my fiancé have been to Kona Grill and both times have been amazing. Great food. Awesome drinks and the service is great too. We’re definitely returning again soon
Good food, good service
Another great experience
Good food with some unique pairings of ingredients. I like the staff and manager came to see how we were doing.
Fun good happy hour
We had a reservation for 10. The service was incredibly slow and poor. It took almost an hour to get our food once ordered. The server did not check the table very often and so drinks were often empty. If a restaurant cannot handle groups this size, they should not accept the reservation.
My husbands birthday is on new year's eve. We scheduled dinner around 7:15 - were seated promptly and service was good.
Pleasant evening, food was great! Server was inattentive. Would return.
Excellent value and reasonably priced. There are other options up and down High Street and we have eaten at all of them. This is far and away the nicest place and the best value for your money. Great food, atmosphere and service.
The service and food was terrific. We will definitely consider dinning her again.
It was lunchtime, hardly anyone in the restaurant, yet service was slow to respond. Food just OK.
We came to Kona Grill to celebrate 53rd birthday. We were disappointed. The food was good (not great) but rather expensive. The atmosphere was more like a bar (lots of TVs and noisy). The waiter was not very failure with the menu. For the price of the meals we expected a much better atmosphere.
Although food and drinks were fantastic, our server/waiter was not attentive and seemed irritated that he had to serve a table of women. He wasn’t rude but did not come back to our table for a long time and didn’t offer separate checks.
Excellent food & service. Abby was very attentive & friendly
The service was terrible. It took an hour just to get bread. I ordered chicken that tasted like rubber. It was a birthday celebration for my brother and they didn't even do anything. My husband ordered salad and sushi for his dinner and was still hungry and asked for another sushi ..,,never got it :(
Wouldn't recommend this place
Our greeter was prompt and courteous. Our server Jaime was fast and knowledgeable about the happy hr menu and other details of menus. Food was good and temperature correct.
Always great food and service. Can be a noisy environment 5-8.
Food was amazing but the service was slow Place wasn't packed at all and our server hardly came to our table to check what we needed and when she did it was a wait. But overall I would definitely go back again
The Kona Food at Kierland Square is better in their food taste and preparation.
The service and cocktails were as expected: Very Good. Our food was excellent. We arrived at 4 p.m. for a business dinner, and all was well until they turned up the music. It was Tuesday afternoon/evening and the location was not crowded, but the noise level quickly became like a Friday or Saturday night. We could barely hear each other speak. That forced our business discussion to end, and we left Kona just after 7:30 p.m. without achieving our goal. As mentioned, on Friday at the end of the business week I would expect that noise level, but not on a Tuesday.
A couple who we have known for three years gave us a $50 gift certificate to show their appreciation for a pair of event tickets we had given them when my wife felt too ill to attend. We waited for our anniversary to try the Kona Grill because it was a little too far from home for a "normal" night out.
Our waiter gave us very thorough descriptions of his favorite menu items. We ordered Tempora Shrimp to share, followed by Sea Bass for her and chicken for me. Of course, we shared tastes of each of these fabulous entrees. The bottle of Conundrom went well with both dishes. We finished with a huge slice of Carrot Cake. The servings were all too big for reasonable eaters, but we had left-overs of everything for lunch the next day.
Yes,we will take the long drive again.
