Kona Grill - Omaha Ratings and Reviews
Our waitress must have been covering a large area. We waited a long time for our food and they weren’t too busy for a lunch hour. My lunch was a hot sandwich and fries both were cold. Not the usual experience so I’ll just chalk it up to an off day and try again sometime
Once we were seated it took more than 10 minutes to see our waitress to order drinks. There was 4 of us dining. The kids sodas came within a reasonable time, but our wine and tap beer took about 25minutes. We had to ask where are drinks were. “The bar was too busy” was the staff response. The restaurant was not even full. Our sushi order beat our appetizer to the table. The wait staff had difficulty finding soy sauce for the sushi. Our other two entrees arrived 10 minutes after the sushi had arrived. So we didn’t really even eat as a family. The food was good, but the service was the worst I’ve had at any restaurant in a long time.
Overall good food! The pop sucks. Don't order a pop save your money. i've been here quite a few times every time I order a pop it's the worst pop I ever had. You would think they be able to afford a good pop machine or just supply with cans of pop. Nothings worse than getting a good meal with bad tasting pop.
Salads were soaked in dressing. Waiter had no waiting experience. Wait time was long. Drinks watered down. Are usually go during happy hour everything is great the happy hour menu the handcrafted cocktails have always been great, But this evening special occasion dinner was terrible.
Our waitress was horrible. I ordered a Coke Zero and it came out flat. I flagged her down to tell her and her answer was they don't serve that much so that's why and offered a Diet Coke. The first coke came out ok and the second again flat, and her response was "we get complaints about flat soda", never offered to get another one or apologized. My food was delivered cold. I told her it came out cold and said nothing. Never offered a new one or even to warm up the one I had in front of me. She brought the check never asking us if we wanted dessert and said, " I hope our kitchen meets your expectations next time". Are you kidding me? Who says that? I wish I could have found a manager because her service and responses were inappropriate. My meal and drinks should have been credited by the server even without me asking. What ever happened to customer service?
We went during happy hour on a Friday and the hostess seemed a little frazzled. We had reservations (obviously) and were seated pretty quickly. Very friendly staff, a little slow, but considering the time of evening, we were not really surprised. Nothing that would keep us from going back. Nice varied menu, reasonable prices for a date night out. Would recommend for something different.
I told them it was my boyfriends birthday and I noted it on my reservations and the hostess acknowledged it, but nothing happen .......no free desserts , drink or anything. I understand maybe you don't do anything but I just
Assumed when you inquire about it that there would have been more.
The food was excellent and almost too much to eat. It was wonderful.
My husband and I truly enjoyed every aspect of our meal at Kona! We were early for our reservation and they still were able accommodate us even though we were willing to wait for our table. The sushi
Roll descriptions were very informative and extremely helpful as I needed to order specifically for health reasons.
The service was slightly slow to begin with but got better as the meal went on. We were seated by a noisy table which can be hard....The food seemed slow because other tables seated after us, received their food. But once we did get our order, everything was tasty and fine. So kind of up and down!
We came to Kona Grill as a party of 7 for my grandmother's birthday. I made a reservation and checked in 10 minutes early but we were still seated late. I loved the atmosphere in the restaurant but felt as though we received poor service. Our drinks were empty a majority of the meal and our waitress was difficult to track down. My husband and I ordered sushi and although the flavor was decent, the sushi was not rolled very tightly and fell apart when we picked it up. I was disappointed with how much we paid for the sushi and I would not order sushi if I returned to Kona. The pasta dishes that were ordered were all very good but a $30 steak came out cold.
Portion sizes were small for the price. I had chicken broccoli stir fry and it was $15, I was still hungry after. My husband had the sushi and said he had better. The kids meals were a good value. The ambiance was nice though a little noisy. The kids loved the giant fish tank. Will try Flatbread neXT time.
Went in because we had a gift card and a free appetizer. Had the pretzel and apple fondue and enjoyed it. I had the shrimp pasta which was good. Wife ordered salmon pasta and salmon was not fully cooked first time. Took 15 minutes to recoil so I was done when her meal arrived. Bill was wrong twice a d waitress said she did not print. We ticket but she could. Good and atmosphere good. Service was lacking.
