The food was INCREDIBLE!!! The only thing that was disappointing was we ordered sushi rolls as an appetizer and the main entree came out first.
Good was great service was great only complaint is we were seated under a vent and almost froze!

Not knowIng we needed reservations we went directly to restaurant when we got there we found out they we needed and only online. That’s the part that was crazy I had to download app go online etc fill out bunch of info took 10 minutes at least the girl at front desk couldn’t even help it wasn’t easy finding where to go, that was just plan ridiculous I’m standing right in front of the gal I’m sending the info to her there’s no reason why she couldn’t have just said I’ll put you down such and such time but no I had to do it online it’s was ridiculous! Then we had to wait over 30 minutes after reservation! This policy does not make sense if you have room when person comes in, get them a seat. Online is fine but not if you walk-in and there’s an opening! Then there were 3 girls at front desk most of the time not doing much but our waitress was running her butt off. What be of them could’ve been helping!
Usually very good. Last dinner, not do much. Very disjointed. Entrée arrived before soup, drinks didn't arrive until after we were done eating. Server spend most of the time by computer station, only checked on us when we were finished and had to say our drinks had never arrived. Unknown why, maybe staff getting used to social distancing requirements and not enough preparation.
Service was minimal as heck, somebody else refilled our drinks, brought our check, brought boxes, never our server.
The waiter was prompt and had great food suggestions.

waitress was training another server. forgot our beverages, had to remind. got food, never brought my sons milk, and never refilled our water.
great way to celebrate my birthday - just walked right in while others were waiting for a table. I will always make a reservation in the future.

The food is great ! But the service is horrible, the host at the front of the restaurant where so unhelpful and rude, really made everything unpleasant but the food sure made up for it.
We made reservations, we were seated in the back area by the bar. My dad is 79 years old. It was 84 degrees in there with the sun shining on the table. We realized we couldn’t block the sun so I went back to ask the gentleman upfront if we could get moved to another table as it was hot and the table was in the sun. He said first come first served. I mentioned we had reservations, and he said it’s first come first served, doesn’t matter. So I again said we need to be moved as my dad is almost 80 yrs old. It’s too warm. A young woman came up and pointed out we could sit at the bar. Bartender was aware of what happened and extremely nice. Unfortunately, my mashed potatoes were literally cold, the chicken was barely warm. Received a new meal. No discount, no free drink. I regret being a Karen but this was awful service and food. Beware - reservations mean nothing now.
Avocado eggrolls, big Island ribeye and Casamigo margarita was fantastic. Will definitely be revisiting.
Kona is a good solid place to get sushi. Their other entrees are great as well.

tough with social distancing currently but our poor waitress was the only one for like 10 tables across the whole dining floor. Bunch of other staff just standing around watching. Also $18 for a french dip and chips is too much money. New sushi chefs so our party of 6 got food all at different times
AnnO, I'm sorry that your experience wasn't up to par. The server only had a three table section and it was her first day back to work since we reopened the dinning room. She was a little rusty. Obviously that doesn't excuse the poor service that you received. I hope that you'll visit us again in the near future so we can make it up to you.

Covid aside the reservation system was a joke, and you can tell the restaurant is out of sink, don’t reopen if you can’t deliver at your price point. Disappointed at best
Thank you for voicing your concern with us. We had just transitioned to a brand new menu and still had glitches in our server and online systems. As far as the wait, we are only at 50% per the Governors DHM, so we had no choice but to put people on a wait as we were full that evening and some guests were there past the reservation limit. As far as your meal, Had it been brought to my attention at the time of the incident, I would have been able to correct the situation for you.

Kona was clearly not ready for dine-in again. First, there were 4 hostesses at the stand. 1 was on the phone will we stood there for 5 minutes, and other 3, just stood around.
Our waiter's mask didn't fit. I'd be fine if the waiters didn't wear masks, but he touched his face so much trying to fix it I was repulsed.
There were 6 of us. 4 meals came, and we had to wait at least 20 minutes for the other 2 to get their meals. Ridiculous. They gave us a free round of drinks. Frankly, 1/2 the meals should have been comped.
Lastly, my wife said the women's bathroom was filthy.
Happy hour menu keeps changing and not for the better. Service was excellent!
The sweet chili salmon with Brussels sprouts and fried rice was the perfect meal. I highly recommend.

Nice intimate dinner. Their Chinese chopped salad that comes with no protein is overpriced but it is tasty. The stir fry chicken was really good.
I would like to apologize for the Chopped salad not having protein when served. Our salad comes with our macadamia nut chicken or grilled chicken on it. The server may have failed to notice that it wasn't complete before sending it to your table. I hope to see you in our restaurant again soon to let us make up for that part of your experience. I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your recent letter. It seems that these days people are very quick to criticize, but much slower to show their appreciation or praise when something is done right. Letters like yours help to reinforce what we are trying to do everyday with our staff and bolster their confidence as well!
Would suggest they DO NOT WEAR GLOVES. They touch dirty plates then clean plates, take payment in form of cash or card and I never saw one person change gloves in between. Rather have them wear NO gloves and wash hands more often!!!
Our staff is required to wear gloves and masks as well as required to change them after every interaction with guests. It is an added measure to ensure employee and guest safety. By state guidelines it is recommended, by company standards, it is required. We take cash payment if the guest has no other form of payment. We recommend Credit or debit card with each transaction. I'm sorry the staff member that you may have observed wasn't following proper protocol. These are still uncharted waters
Was very disappointed when we visited Kona Grill in Omaha on 5/5/20. It was cinco de Mayo and their margarita machine wasn’t working when we first got there. Hey also had no fish tacos. They were out of a lot of the food we wanted and most things that were normally on their happy hour were not... had to pay full price if you wanted it. If they thoroughly cleaned... not sure why it was so dirty under our table. Server was not that pleasant. They were not busy at all. Normally luv this place but sure would NOT recommend going there now!
This was the first time we were at Kona Grill. It was okay. If you don't want sushi they have other items to select.
Hostesses were awesome! I needed a quieter table because my father can’t hear very well...and I know that is an annoying request in a busy restaurant. They sat us in a booth which was perfect! Our server was great and the food was awesome! Can’t wait to go back!

We had 6:00 reservation so they knew we were coming, it took over an hour to get our food after we ordered. My food came out cold, over seasoned, over cooked. It was one of their signature meals so they should have it perfected. I did not ask for it to be altered at all. I did alert them of my allergy to shellfish. I asked for the wait staff & manager. They replaced the meal quickly and comped the meal.

The salmon was cooked to perfection. The macadamia nut chicken was good as always. They now have the option where you can get a half order which is nice. I belong to their rewards club but don't believe that I received credit for the dining experience. We requested a quiet booth away from the kitchen which was nice. Nice birthday celebration.

Usually a good experience, but not this time. Food took too long, then received wrong entree. Bill was messed up too.

We had severe point of sales issues that day and we over 30 min of lost meal orders, before the Point of sales Point of sales terminals came back up to minimal service.
