We ordered sushi, however it was horrible and we left a lot of rolls on the plate. Mainly the most expensive. I would not recommend this restaurant.
This was my first time at Kona Grill, and Shay was awesome with her menu suggestions. The food, the atmosphere, and Shay made it an incredible experience! Will definitely be back.
Wish they had the fish tacos all the time and not just during happy hour! Food was great though and the staff was very nice :)
Best Sea Bass ever.
Fabulous! Always!! I love Kona!
We sat at the bar for HH and had friendly service from the bartenders. The food was great and the HH value was tremendous
Server was amazing! Engaged in conversation, but not excessively.
Tried cooking a steak 3 times finally we gave up and left
Server might have been new. Food took forever to get out, but the quality was good. Cocktails were weak and the overall price point was barely of value. I do not plan on coming back.
Mosquitos around 🤨
We asked for potstickers and only we get three of it
Our server, Emily, was great and made our dinner exceptional!
Great vibe , good food.
Fun food with great service. It is obvious from the moment you walk in the door that the place is well managed and it shows in the quality of service and speed of food delivery. Would recommend.
Food was Ok, overpriced for the quality, the server did not even come back for refilling water.
Our waitress was great. Our waiter David was great last time also. We have been 2x and both times it has been spectacular. Delicious food & great service!
Very nice people greeting you at the door.
Waitress wasn’t so great.
Went for my daughter’s birthday and everyone’s food was very good. Wide variety so everyone could find something to their taste. Ample portions. Service was outstanding. We will be back!
Excellent food, choice and service! Perfect atmosphere to hold any special occasion.
Reserved a table for that evening as traveling into town. When we got there, they would not honor the reservation and told us they would not seat us. Had to walk to find other place to eat after paying for an Uber there.
Despite email and follow up phone conversation for confirmation upon arriving we were rudely turned away upon entry. As was a party in front of ours. Mine included my fiance’s 81 year-old mother, and my fiance’s 21 year-old daughter.
Needless to say this was not my best restaurant experience on the Plaza.
My party showed up 15 minutes before our reservation to find out that it had been cancelled due to staff shortages. I understand having to cancel, but we should have been notified prior to traveling 30 minutes to the restaurant. I feel this should have been handled better. The manager told us, "Sorry, but you need to find somewhere else on the Plaza to eat." We should have at least been offered a gift card to return at a future time. I have always loved Kona Grill, but was extremely sad in the way this situation was handled.
Was on a date with a very special person, it was perfect. The place was packed but we were still able to relax, enjoy good conversation and fabulous food.
We never got to eat. After 3 hours, they told us the kitchen was having quality issues so we should go elsewhere.
Worst service ever! Waited 2 hrs and they could not even serve our food.
Out of some products like prime rib and salmon that we wanted to order. We also asked for our steak to be well done and it came back very pink. Our waitress Mia was great and we liked the ambiance.
They sat us on time for our reservation, then we waited 20 minutes for someone to walk by so we could ask who our server is. Our sever was fine except he kept blaming the kitchen and others for the poor service and didn’t bus our empty glasses. We asked to speak to a manager, he didn’t do anything to make it better. It took over 30 minutes to get the appetizer, lettuce rolls (you assemble them yourself so we were just waiting for the ingredients). Food came out after an hour, food was good, we did our best to have a good time. But I would not go back. They were not full, but way understaffed.
We went there on Christmas Day. The check in and waitress were both awesome. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. A wonderful experience! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
With reservations made ahead, we were seated about 30 minutes slow. That's not too inconvenient. When we were told they ran out of the main featured entree, we left.
Horrible. Zero stars. Waited 75 minutes for 3 salads and some french fries. Worst dining experience ever.
we were there on Christmas, it was busy and under staffed.
One hour wait for drinks. One hour wait for appetizer. Two & a half hours wait on food- out of mashed potatoes! BAKED our filets—horrible.
Will NEVER eat there again. They were doing online orders before taking care of seated tables!!!
We arrived for our 12:00 reservation and the water supply was disrupted.
Took forever to get Service. The worst Christmas Day meal ever. Food was terrible. Will never come back again.
Being that it was Christmas Day I wasn't sure what to expect. Brunch menu was not available (reservation was for 10:30am), but they did add 4-5 'Christmas' items and had their regular menu. My friend and I ordered the same thing, filet with lobster cream sauce, ordered medium. Both dishes did not have the cream sauce and my friend's steak was WELL done. She was told it would be 45 minutes before she could get a new steak, which she didn't opt for. Instead she ordered sushi (which was very good). We had bottomless mimosas and it was like pulling teeth to get refills, but they were good. The manager was VERY nice, he was doing his best to accommodate us. Apparently they were short staffed and only had 2 chefs working. They had half the dining room open when we arrived and later opened the back area. This made NO sense to us when they had people waiting over an hour for their food, but that was their business. Overall the service wasn't great and with the exception of the steak everything went well. It was a nice atmosphere and everyone was friendly so was trying to be understanding about the issues. Still would recommend Kona to friends, have been there many times before and I just think it was the holiday that caused issues in itself. It was obvious everyone was working hard I just think their organization was lacking.
The food was excellent! There is a loud party vibe, just so you know!
Was disappointed with the food quality. Server was great but he had more tables than he could handle.
Nope... never again. Food was way over-priced and disappointing. $35 for ham slices and mashed potato? Husband ordered a beer that showed up AFTER the check. Service was sub-par and sluggish and it wasn't even packed! My "sushi roll" had a piece of black rock in it that I bit down on... YUCK!! Noise-level was dance-club loud. I don't see the value.
Christmas Eve dinner. Food was not hot and steak ok. Service nothing special. I can usually be patient and wait but they could have brought the appetizers out it took more 30min. I ordered nothing complex. Just edamame!
Terrible experience , said they couldn’t honor our reservation because they over booked
Will not be returning nor using open table to book reservation in future
I went to go out with my mom during the holidays and it was absolutely packed. Our reservation time was 7:15 and we weren’t seated til 7:45. Near the lobby was packed densely with people, most of which weren’t wearing a mask.
It took about an hour for our food to come out. When our food came out we were missing a side as well as one of the sides were substituted without us knowing. The food was decent but nothing to rave about especially for the price. I understand the setback since it was near the holidays but this was a bit much. I would MAYBE go again but not during the holidays. Very expensive for a mediocre at best experience.
