   The biggest issue was we had a table reserved for 2/00pm and we didn’t get seated until 2:50pm. I understand it was Mothers Day, but this was pretty disappointing and additionally there was a limited menu which was also disappointing. Luckily the food here is amazing and delicious every time. My two kids (5 and 8) were troopers with the long wait and ended up eating every last bite of their food at least!

   Terrible! Ridiculous! Mother’s Day Kona Fail! We had reservations today and it took an hour after that time for them to seat us. No apology from the staff or managers. Took another 20 minutes to get a waiter to take our order. ONE HOUR after we are seated, our food is finally delivered and my wife’s Prime Rib is over cooked. Sent it back and second try… same fail!!!! Such a SH*T show! I spent 5 years working in high end restaurants and couldn’t believe how poorly the management handled this situation! Was a big fan of Kona Grill but we won’t ever spend a dime there ever again!

   Mother’s Day service and performance were pretty spotty. Even with a reservation, “greeter” staff (in quotes because they were anything but welcoming), dismissively barked at us that we would have to wait a half an hour to be seated inside. Kona Grill promoted their unlimited Mother’s Day special too extensively for the number of staff they had working. Our waiter messed up one order; the kitchen messed up two out of six guests. When one guest asked for sweetener for tea, it was not brought without another guest having to finally go get the waiter. One guest asked server for more dressing and just got a look to say “I don’t do that.” We reported this to waiter, he just laughed and finally brought more almost when meal was over. We ate in two shifts and the enjoyment was pretty diminished. The food was……okay. We just won’t come again on a promotion and overall won’t come again for a long time. The experience at the front door set the tone. Poor performance in a number of areas.

   Terrible. We had reservations for Mother’s Day. We were sat immediately and waited for over 20 min and were never greeted by a server or any other staff member. We got up and left. We will not be coming back to Kona Grill.

   Mother’s Day was a disaster. $50 per person for cheap quality food, served for volume and expediency and not for quality? No way a child will eat that much. Should have had a menu of breakfast items. I saw so many people get seated and promptly leave. There is no chance we return for Mother’s Day or any special event.

   The food was just ok. My son’s $45 steak was overcooked, the Asian salad had barely any almonds, noodles or dressing. The server forgot to ask my son what he wanted for his side so he brought fries. We ordered one appetizer, one salad, and two entrées and with a tip we paid $145. Sadly it’s overpriced for the quality of what you get compared to other restaurants in this same price point.
