Very good spot for casual eating. Place was very clean and COVID free. Outside patio was excellent.
Service: Although the number of guests was not high, our service lacked check-ins and we waited longer than expected from the time to sit until the first greeting. I noticed our server setting other tables nearby and another server making rounds at her tables more frequently than our server. Our server was friendly and professional, just needs to step up with more frequent rounds so guests are not left waiting for more than 1 minute after initial seating, not more than 5 minutes after initial greeting to get drink orders, and then after checking for ready to order, it shouldn't be more than 5 more minutes if the guest is not ready for the next check in. After ordering, servers should pass by the table every so often to check on drinks, stop by after the meal has arrived to ask how things are, and so on. All of this happened, just not in the timeframes expected.
Food: The food quality was sub-par. I had the chili glazed salmon. The salmon was over cooked. The fried rice was a little too salty for me and had very little chicken and no shrimp at all. The pot stickers were good, I would eat those again for sure.
The pricing for the food is much higher than what the value of the food is for the quality received. Two people, for lunch, $75, one app, two entrees, no cocktails.
Why make a reservation when they’re not going to honor it? Not only did they not honor it, we still had a 30 minute wait past our reservation time. Service and food was great, but the reservation process and checking in was atrocious.
Always a great choice to go to Kona! There is something for everyone. Our server was amazing and attentive. Highly recommend a reservation
A plus service
Two of us had the rolls, which were delicious, and another the french dip, which he said had an interesting taste to it (not bad). Service a little slow, but I understand, given the uncertainty of the number of diners each day. Refills were abundant!
The service was great! We had drinks and an appetizer which where very good as well. It ended up not having a lot of gluten free friendly options for me so we ended up calling it a night based on that. That’s more of a me problem though. had I not had a sensitivity to gluten I’m sure the food would have been just as great as the drinks.
Only issue is that they could not find our reservation. We had booked an outside table, but had to then wait for an inside table. I even showed them my reservation confirmation, but they could not honor it. Other than that, it was great.
Dinner was great. The only downside was the amount of time to get our food. Salads came out at the same time as our dinners

Absolutely the slowest service of any restaurant that I have ever been to. Every time that I go. (Grandkids like the food).
The food wasn’t worth the price. Sushi rolls were okay but steaks were bland. Service was slow for the amount of people at the restaurant. Social distancing wasnt practiced by restaurant spreading diners apart and at one point, there was someone in the kitchen behind the sushi bar without a mask on. Not worth of going out to eat at all.

Waited longer than 30 mins even with reservation
Music was too loud. Server acted like it was her first night. Misters went off and on during a very warm night. Brought friends because Kona Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. I don't think they were impressed although food was good.

This was our second visit to this Kona Grill. Our first visit, the food was fresh and quick. This visit, the food seemed a little over cooked and cold when it arrived at the table. The bbq chicken pizza was too well done and hard, where it was soft and hot when it arrived at our table. Also, the chowder was cold when it arrived. Not nearly as good last night, as it was the previous Friday. The happy hour selection and prices are great! The birthday we were celebrating was not acknowledged

Service was polite and friendly but slow. We were there on a Saturday night and the music was extremely loud and overbearing. We went there to enjoy a meal and felt like we were in a dance club. This is not the atmosphere that we are looking for while dining out. The waitress listened to our request to turn the music down but was unable to get the manager to do so. She appeared frustrated as well. She said that there had been multiple tables who had requested that the music be turned down as well. We are frequent diners in the Gilbert area and enjoy our meal every time we eat at Kona but the atmosphere was terrible.

The food is great as always. Seems like they raised the prices a lot. The service was good until it got to the end, seemed like it took forever to get our bill. The music was super loud I felt like I was in a club. It even sounded like the speakers were blown out. It was also freezing in the restaurant.
Kona failed me on this visit. Our Server was great and constantly having to apologize. The food quality failed to meet expectations from previous visits, took a very long time to come out and was wrong when it got there. They delivered food to the table that was different from the menu and when asked about it, the manager delivering the food, said oh yah, we are out of mashed potatoes. Not a huge deal if they would have asked what to do instead, but they didn't ask just delivered some very overcooked potatoes chunks. Again, perhaps just this visit, but it didn't go well. Kudos to our server for holding it together and providing some delicious carrot cake for dessert (which we had to take to go).

We love Kona grill. We had the best service and our food was perfect. Our drinks were constantly kept filled and we were seated at a table near the kitchen where you could see them preparing food.

They can turn down the music because it wasn't a hipster single lounge like the loud music they played and so loud you couldn'ttalk. This place had mostly families and larger parties with dico loud music. Music was great but we couldn't hear each other.
Been awhile since we stepped into a restaurant for lunch. We enjoyed the food, service was super friendly, followed all guidelines (mask) and we would come back.

Reserved an outside table. They had none available and seated us inside by the bar. Very cold and spotty service. Food was good.

Service was “fair” at best. Kind of slow. The food was the worst we’ve had there. Everything else was fairly normal.
This is a very inexpensive, fine restaurant for what it is. It’s not the fanciest but for a good lunch with a friend it was great!!! Food is delish. Drinks are sweet, fruity and not strong but delicious. Not crowded, maybe cuz of Covid, but I used to go b4 Covid and my review would have been the same except it was really loud in the past. I will go again, and again and again!!!

Our food was outstanding!! The service by our waitperson, Jill, was tremendous!! We had reservations, arrived early and was seated immediately. The avocado egg rolls were superb! Jill was attentive and Kona hit us with free dessert due to our wedding anniversary. Kona was high energy and they hit every note as a 10.!! Cannot wait to go back!

Very good food
We had a reservation and still had to wait 30 min for a table. And we noticed some of our favorite food choices weren’t available. Hopefully they will come back when Covid is over. Our server was great.
