Waiter messed up everyone’s order
Fried rice was not the same as it’s always been
Miso sake sea bass was not like it’s always been
Waiter said they can’t split orders. We always have.
Bad bad service and food not the same.
Their happy hour menu is no longer offered all day. Hours are now limited and prices increased.
Great food and atmosphere!
Food and wait staff were great. I didn’t find this place to have romantic setting but a basic date appropriate kinda restaurant.
Sushi is okay.., we will probably go back for the regular food entrees and not the sushi.
Our waiter was great and the food was amazing! The atmosphere was very modern and quiet. Going again very soon!
Disappointing meal. This was our 3rd time in and everything was a miss. First, upon entering the restaurant, 3 people were at the host desk and just stared at my husband and I. Like we were interrupting by walking through the door. It was very awkward. No “hello” “how can I help you?” “ good evening”. I mean nothing. We were seated and eventually greeted by someone at our table. But it did take awhile. After getting the correct menu we were ready to order. This time a different waiter arrived asking if someone already helped us. We politely said yes. She left and then came back again and said “now I’ll be taking care of y’all”. We finally ordered. We got sushi as appetizer. It was placed on table and the person just left. No chopsticks, no soy sauce, no plates.. meanwhile, there’s a ton of people standing around in front of kitchen talking. Entrees weren’t the best either. Husbands rice was uncooked but he was so over it, he just quietly ate. The waitress we had was nice but just seemed untrained or “new”. Very unsure of everything. Dessert was delicious. I feel like the restaurant seemed very staffed. Tons of people “working” but no one we encountered was doing their job well. I won’t be coming back any time soon. Many other establishments that offer way better service and execution. When you spend $80 for two people on dinner, you want to leave satisfied
Had a lunch meeting. Food was great and the noise level made it easy to communicate.
The food is always good. Our waitress was excellent. We always enjoy our dinner at Kona Grill
The tables were very dirty as well as the chairs. Service was ok. It just looked very dirty. The we all noticed this and talked about it as we had drinks.
Love the flank steak!!
First time at this restaurant. Terrible service. Waitress said she was a “douchebag” when we told her she didn’t bring out the birthday girls meal. She went to another table mid taking our order. Food was not good, especially is comparison to the price. Reservation was at 8:15 for a patio table, wasn’t seated until 8:30 and sat inside.
Overpriced for what you get. If you want to spend the money, there are better restaurants to go to.
Food was good. Only knock is the kitchen was in the weeds and it was crazy loud.
I went with my fiancée for valentine day date night. The food and service were great! I always love a trip to kona.
Great service and good food. Always enjoy this place and the service has never been anything but fantastic.
Awesome the best food ever. Everything was awesome and the service was superb. We will be back many times to come.
Everything was great. Staff and the food was excellent. If you aren’t big on sushi, you might be disappointed with the menu. Not a big selection for none sushi eaters.
Great food and service
Kona Grill is one of my wife and I’s Favorite restaurants in Fort Worth. I definitely reccomend it to anyone and everyone. They have an awesome happy hour and and very cool rooftop area. Great sushi, sandwiches, and entrees!
Great as always
We got a chance to go on a lunch date today which is rare as we have five kids. I made us a reservation at Kona Grill using Open Table weeks ago and when I viewed the menu noticed they had an email program. I signed up and they sent me a free appetizer email. So when we got there I showed the waitress and she took the number off the email for the appetizer. We ordered an appetizer, water, hot tea for both and two entrees. When she brought the ticket she asked to see my phone again and could she take it with her? Come again? She needed the barcode. Ok no big deal. Then she comes back and says that we had already used the coupon and couldn’t use it again. I told her this was the first time we have ever been to Kona Grill and I had just gotten the email on Nov 28th when I made the reservation with open table. I didn’t mind paying for the appetizer but I certainly hadn’t used the coupon yet. She was able to fix it but that was weird and awkward. 😐 The waitress was also not very attentive, rushed us a little bit she did fix the coupon issue. We had to ask for sugar for our hot teas and it took a little bit to grab her attention for the sugar (the place maybe had five guests). Which is such a first world problem but our experience. The food was good though and we would prob go back.
Food was good. Ambiance was good. We would go back.
Great as always. We were a party of four and they originally didn’t want to seat us until everyone was there (even though we had a reservation) but one friend was running late so they sat us about 10 mins after our reservation time. We were appreciative. I don’t drink beer often but wanted to so our waiter gave me a few samples to try. They were considerable in size. Our waiter was very attentive to us and did a great job. Overall good experience.
Service was very poor and we sat at the bar. Sushi tasted off and silverware as dirty
Great food as usual. Service was a bit off this evening but otherwise good.
Great, I loved the atmosphere
Waiter was great, food was great! One recommendation: if you’re having happy hour pricing going on, make it relevant to the entire restaurant. Nothing was more awkward than telling our sweet waitress we wanted to move because we wanted to be able to do the happy hour. After adding up our tab, we would have spent $25+ more on food and drinks if we hadn’t moved! Worth the discomfort to us but it has to be disappointing to their employees put in the non-discounted sections
We have been there many times and today there was a small issue. It was resolved quick and the staff and manager took very good care of us. We will continue to go there and the service has always been great. Now we know if something does happen it will be fixed in a appropriate and exceptional manner. Thanks to all the staff for making our visit a great experience.
I was meeting a co worker for the first time and needed choices on the menu and a place to talk shop. The lunch menu was great and we both made our choices very quickly. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was fantastic and plenty!!!
We were there during happy hour and got seated in the regular restaurant. The service was very prompt and yet not intrusive. Our food came out quickly and was very good. I will go back if I'm in that part of town.
Great birthday dinner.
The sushi was really nice. My party enjoyed the cocktails.
We love Kona Grill's happy hour and food but were disappointed to find out that even though we made a reservation we could not sit in the happy hour section without waiting another 45 mins to an hour and that even the bar was not open seating. When booking the reservation there's a note saying you can't reserve the bar or patio but it doesn't explicitly say you can't book a reservation anywhere in the happy hour section so we were pretty put off by the lack of accommodation.
The drinks were not good and the service wasn't great. Disappointed after all that I have heard about it.
Second time dining at Kona Grill with family. Great atmosphere and food/drinks! Can't wait for the patio to reopen for the fall.
Flank Steak was very salty. But other than that, the sushi we had was delicious. Great service and awesome menu full of variety.
We were having a going away dinner and the person moving away had wine poured down here back
