I have been coming to Kona regularly for 10 years and it has always been one of my favorite restaurants and I just so sad what it has become over the last few years. I completely understand inflation, especially post COVID, but increasing prices significantly AND decreasing value/portion sizes is just not acceptable. I enjoy Kona for good sushi at a reasonable price, now their prices are comparable to some of the higher end sushi restaurants in town like Sushi Den/Sushi Sasa and Kona is simply not at that caliber, so I sadly think I’ll have to take my business elsewhere.

Please is nicely laid out and great ambience. Food was just so so... Calamari was just blah and my steak was medium well versus medium rare. My wife's sushi was just so so too. We drove 25 miles to eat there and wont be going back.

Sushi is always the go to here! We were taken care of with all of our orders and even though there were some slight errors, they were replaced and our waitress had a great attitude the entire time! We have never been disappointed with our sushi/sashimi rolls, always a great selection!

We were so excited to try this place but so disappointed. We left after our appetizer and 1 drink . The music was so loud we couldn’t talk, our server not great and our appetizer barely touched.

This has been one of my favorite places for years but since the pandemic started the quality of the food and environment has gone down hill. On this day the table and chairs we were sat at were filthy . I am rooting for them to get back on track just set your expectations that this is not the same Kona as it was 2 years ago.

It must have been an off night. The service was awful. We sat down at 8:33 and no one even acknowledged us until 15 minutes later. Drinks 15 mins after that and food 25 mins later. The food is usually great, but not so much this time. It wasn’t even busy and was staffed well, so it was really confusing.

Horrible place! Bartender named Kendall was extremely rude and served us a room Temperature martini. When we tried to correct her, she was super combative and rude. Went to table and the food was bland, extremely overpriced. The crunch roll, which was highly recommended, was awful! Do not recommend this place at all!! It’s worse than PF Chang’s..

Kona Grill location and vibe is great and just what a good Friday night needs. Although there is always something to disappoint. Either missing food item, or extra items, or not working ice machines.

We were there for my daughter’s birthday and it was one of the worst experiences we have had in a long time. The food was not good the salad was over saturated with dressing and pasta was bland. No one in our party finished all of there food although we were all very hungry. It took about an hour for our food to come out. Best thing on the menu was the edamame and the dessert. We won’t be back

The musics was so loud it was hard to hear the server. And each other. Dance music at 7pm on the patio was not what we were looking for.

The server must be new?
Kept trying to sell us a bottle of wine when one was drinking red & the other white.

My main dish came out & then we waited 10 min for his.

Server brought his wine. I had to ask where mine was.

She kept trying to take our order when I wanted to enjoy my appetizer (that she pushed because she gets bonuses on it) & at least a sip of my wine. Felt incredibly rushed.

Honestly was very disappointed in our experience. The hosts were great, but our waiter was rude and not attentive what so ever. He didn't even check to see if our food came out okay and was passive aggressive when my friend's card got declined, thing happen, don't make her feel worse. Probably won't come back again. What I will say is the California Roll I ordered was the best roll I'd ever have, absolutely delicious!

I had been to Kona Grill about 5 years ago and loved it! Last night I would say it was “so so”. Definitely not what I thought it was going to be. We made a reservation for 7:00 but still had to wait about 30 minutes. My niece’s food came out first and the rest of our party waited another 30 minutes for our food, so that was crazy?? Also, the food wasn’t that good. It was expensive and just ok.

Our experience wasn’t as great as usual! Expected the busy, fun atmosphere and friendly service we usually have on Fridays but instead, we were disappointed in the lack of attention to detail. Again, it’s usually much better atmosphere before they took away reverse happy hour on Fridays.

Overall the experience was amazing, I have not shut up about the meatballs and the sushi was amazing especially the Picasso roll. My only issue was that when we ordered our drinks they were out of the syrup to make the drink I wanted so I ordered something else. Then when I ordered an appitizer they were also out of said appetizer. When I ordered the sushi I was then told they only had one chef and that it might take a while and that they may also be missing ingredients. Thankfully the sushi came out quickly and they had all the ingredients but in the beginning it just felt like I was getting the second best things and it ruined the experience a bit. Other than that thought it was great and we will definitely be back.

Hostess was great, sat us at our prefer choice (outside). Waitress was prompt greeting us (group of 3) and getting our drink order, when getting ready to order was warned sushi would take over one hour to arrive since only one sushi chef was working. Happy hour all day Sunday has been discontinued.
