Yellow tail sushi roll and drinks were good but not much gf options for the friends
Wish they would bring back their old happy hour.
Everything was good at Kona. The service was wonderful and the food was perfect and delicious! We got macadamia encrusted chicken, green salad and avocado egg rolls. One thing that wasn’t so good was the selection of music. During a relaxing lunch about 2:30pm, the energetic , loud music didn’t fit the mood at all. Maybe that music fits better at night, but not for a relaxing lunch. Still Kona is great!

Server was good. But the food was ok. Not the best Kona food we had before. I think they don’t have enough chefs in the kitchen.
Our waitress, Jennifer, was excellent, very attentive. The food was delicious. We went for restaurant week & we’re not disappointed. The music was a bit too loud as it made conversation difficult.
Restaurant Week Menu was a good price/value. Dumplings and Picasso Rolls were very good. Chicken dish was good and flavorful. Prime Ribs were also flavorful and 2 out of 3 of them were very good, the third serving was easily 2/3 fat. Service was good and Manager responded quickly to fatty serving issue.
The food was not what we expected.
So, so. It was sushi, nothing special. Priced a little higher for basic sushi, but it is a chain and in a mall, so this is expected.
Delicious food!! The new manager was awesome and our waiter was even better.
Do not eat the Macadamia Nut encrusted chicken 🤢 Terrible !!!!

Couples meet up
Greg, our server, did a great job! Manager came by to say Hi.
We know it is difficult to staff restaurants because of the pandemic. However, we experienced over the top bad service in the bar. The male waiter came to our table, laid paper cocktail napkins on our table. I asked for a paper menu as I prefer to not use the digital menu available, he took offense at this, snatched the napkins up and told us we had to see the hostess for a paper menu. My husband went to the host stand and got one, we were then totally ignored by this waiter. The manager noticed, came over and took our order and was very gracious. He was going off shift and left our check on the table. We didn't look at it until after he left and then we noticed we overcharged for our drinks. My husband went to the bar and told the female bartender of the problem. She corrected it and then another female manager came to our table and comped our drinks and invited us to sit in the dining room as it was apparent that the waiter who initially wouldn't wait on us, still refused to do so or make eye contact. In the dining area we had a sweet young waitress, however she messed up our order. We both ordered the prime rib which was on the Restaurant Week menu but instead she delivered rib eye steaks. Not only was this the wrong food it was not rare as we requested but more on the order of medium. We then had her box everything including our dessert, paid our check (with a 15% tip). She was nice, but really!
Our reservation was 4:00PM and we arrived at 3:45PM. They couldn’t find my name on their system. So we had to put my name on their waiting list. It was ok because we didn’t have to wait long. But anyway I was disappointed a little bit about this reservation system didn’t work properly this time.
Other than that, we enjoyed the food. Our waitress was very nice.
One thing, we ordered some sushi and rice didn’t taste any flavor. Nigiri Sushi rice should be seasoned with vinegar and sugar but it was plain rice. The restaurant has authentic sushi counter so they should know what sushi rice is.
Had a birthday lunch with my daughter and the service was terrible. The hostess ignored us and the server ignored us. The food is good, but if I'm paying to eat, I feel like I should be treated better. I will not be back to this location.

Worst service ever and I’ve been there times every time I’m disappointed
Second consecutive visit with biological contaminants in my drink.
I've eaten here alot and its a good place to stop in when I want a good dinner at the mall.
I enjoyed the experience. Food was outstanding. The waitress was real sweet and apologetic when it she was late attending to us.

Not worth the $90 we spent. My sushi roll was bleh and not what it used to be. Husband’s steak was just ok, lobster mac and cheese was bland and flavorless as were his Brussels sprouts. As if the used zero seasoning.
Watermelon margarita was a joke- a cup full of ice with tequila and two melon balls. Seriously? No watermelon or lime flavor could be detected; too many awesome cocktails available in Dallas to waste $14 on this mess of a drink. Waiter barely did his job, and seemed to have no knowledge of menu (asked if we wanted the margarita frozen… except it wasn’t available frozen… barely spoke to us asked if our meal was good, did we need anything, etc). Kona used to be so much better- we were there just a couple of months ago, so happy to see business returning after the covid mess, and food was very very good. This was like an entirely different restaurant, so I guess we won’t be dining there anymore.

The vibe was nice and quiet. The food was really good and its some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The prices aren’t bad at all and they are very reasonable.

Sat group at a table to small for a party of 10. Eat mea was brought out one at a time over 10 to 15 minutes. Kind of makes for awkward dinner.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner at Kona grill. Some of the dishes are overpriced in my opinion. $19 for a cheeseburger is too high.
