    Why does there need to be 7 hostesses and only 3 servers - boggles my mind. Also, you should have your chefs stay off their phone when cooking ;)

    We had a great server and a delicious meal, but it took a LOOONG time to get drinks and especially our food. They were apparently short staffed in the kitchen. We also witnessed a loud argument among the servers. Not ideal.

    Our waitress was very nice. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. After drinks came we ordered dinner. Both of us got the surf&turf. The sushi bar and grill are separate. Our steaks came out first, then our sushi rolls, then our appetizer. The server apologized. They were really busy and the food was good. Just maybe lacking some communication from the grill to the sushi bar. Overall a 4.5. Also bathrooms were really clean. Definitely a plus

    Went to Kona Grill to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation. Had reservations for 730 and wasn’t seated until 830. They were having electrical issues which was the cause. The reception staff was very confused and it wasn’t until a manager came up front that the situation was explained and people were accommodated. Once seated the service was just fine. The food was good. Pricing was inconsistent. For example. $17 for 6 potstickers; $21 for surf and turf with sushi and filet.

    We were there celebrating my son’s graduation. The waitress was very friendly and continued to check on us. It took longer than normal for the food but you could tell they were short staffed.

    Very disappointing dinner at Kona Grill. Drove 40 minutes to have a nice dinner and sit outside and the whole experience was sad. We only saw our server a couple of times and she never came back to see if we needed anything. We had to constantly ask for things, that should have been automatic, silverware, app plates, refills. Food was so overpriced and average for what it was. I ordered a salad with chicken and there was so much dressing on it, that you couldn’t even taste anything else. It was a soggy mess. They have a great location, but would need to drastically improve food and service if they want to keep customers. We won’t be back.

    A Birthday rooftop lunch was the goal. I have had this tradition for a long time. My husband called and asked if the rooftop was open and was told yes. Upon arrival at the restaurant we were told it wasn’t open. The manager or lead host went on and on about the call center and how it wasn’t working and was so disconnected from the actual location…honestly I don’t care and I hate when workers complain to customers about the restaurant or management, even if a mess. We had a fabulous lunch at Cooper’s Hawk near by instead.

    We had reservations. We were seated on time. However the food was horrible, all we got were drinks and appetizers. Then our server told us the kitchen was 90 minutes in the weeds. So we left. I’m not sure why they even seated us.

    I would have liked to know that they were doing a limited menu for Mothers Day. Then they said no substitutions or special requests because our chef won’t do it. The service was extremely slow. It took almost 1 1/2 hrs to get our food! Very disappointing Mother’s Day for my mom.

    There salmon is awesome and so are the prime rib! The chocolate brownie desert is outstanding. I really enjoyed the visit. Will make kona , one of my favorites!

    Very disappointing Mother's Day experience 😞 Had a reservation at 4 and waited for 20 minutes at least and was not crowded at all. Took almost 1 hour for food that was cold and incorrect. Waiter never brought out the correct sides and did not seem concerned at all. Never even asked if we wanted dessert but would not have ordered anyways because it would have probably taken another 45 minutes to get! Meals are too pricey for that kind of service and quality of food.3 of the Mother's there had never been to Kona and I doubt they will return!

    Went there on Mothers Day, it was me, my wife and our two boys 9 and 13. We had a 130 appt, arrived on time and were sent upstairs to be seated. Once seated it didn’t take long to get greeted by our waitress and receive our drinks. We decided to order some Sushi along with our meal, thankfully. 2 of us ordered the Rib-eye Steak with Green Beans and potato’s, my wife ordered the Steak and Eggs off their special brunch menu and our youngest son got a double cheeseburger with fries. Placed our order for Sushi and meals at 140, Sushi came pretty quickly , around 2 , then we sat…..and sat…….and sat. At sound 245 the manager came around to apologize for us having to wait so long as the kitchen was backed up , took some money off our meal and also gave us 2 $10 gift cards. We decided that if our meal didn’t show up by 330 we would leave, lo and behold it showed up at 325 . The steaks were ordered medium rare and all were extremely overcooked, the green beans were so over cooked that they were all shriveled up. My wife’s steak and eggs were supposed to have asparagus with them but they were missing. We were t about to ask for them for fear of having to wait another almost 2 hours! When the waitress came by to check on us and asked how the meal was we told here about the poor quality and she was very apologetic (it’s not her fault though) and proceeded to tell us that a sous chef had quit a week ago , a manager had been fired and the was a corporate chef in the kitchen yelling at everyone to get things out of the kitchen. She also informed us that corporate was there and this particular location had gotten a lot of attention as of late. We knew they were going to be busy on Mothers Day which is why we made the reservation and we also figured that we would have to wait a bit for our meal but 2 hours to wait is excessive and then when the food did show up it was over cooked. This is only the second time we have been here and it will also be the last.

    I had made reservations for 6 people a couple weeks beforehand for Mother's Day. It took us 1.5 hrs to receive our food. We understand that it was busy but we even had a hard time getting any refills. When we finally got our food, it tasted good but we were missing items that were to be included with the meal. My husband got a steak and was never asked how he wanted it cooked. When we got our check, we were charged for 6 alcoholic drinks instead of the 4 that were ordered. Just an overall frustrating experience that I wish I hadn't booked for mom on mother's day.

    To be fair this was Mother’s Day so we expected the restaurant to be busy. It was quite busy and like other restaurants they were quite short staffed. The servers did a good job despite the fact there were too few of them. This caused long waits on refills, food served somewhat cold and an overall inattention to detail caused by the short staffing issue. I want to like this place as well as I did pre-COVID but I just can’t recommend based on where they are with people. Not their fault but we are going to see many places like this go out of business if things don’t change.

    Skip brunch at Kona. I've been happy with other meals, but brunch was overpriced and was simply not quality food. "Fluffy pancakes" were pancake mix in muffins for the kids brunch. The French toast was bland and the eggs Benedic was disappointing. Thr only highlight was the mimosas on special were good.

    We had a 7:30 reservation, but didn’t get our table until 8:15. We ordered appetizers as soon as we were seated, but they did not arrive until 9:00 and the rest of our food came 2 minutes later.

    Honestly, we had high hopes that were dashed really quickly. Atmosphere was nice when we walked in. We were served our appetizer without plates to eat off of. Dinner was served with several things wrong/missing and our server was gone for most of the time. In fact, she started off our meal with several comments about hoping to go home if the power went off from a storm and how much she didn’t want to be there. Our food was decent, but way overpriced for amounts and quality. Was it okay? Sure. Will we return or recommend others? Probably not.

    When we booked our reservation it asked if we were interested in the “Date Night” special menu. We selected this option, but our server said they did not offer this and even asked the manager who agreed this was not available. However, the menu is on their website and they had a poster on the door advertising it. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- we were very disappointed We will not return to this restaurant

    I don't know why I keep going back to Kona Grill...it's always a disappointment. The food is good, but overpriced, and invariably what we order is "unavailable". The service is horrible. The restaurant on Sunday evening was practically empty, yet it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive and we rarely saw our server. The servers hide out in the back socializing with each other, which I can only assume is to avoid having to explain to their diners why the kitchen is so slow. It's like this every time. With so many other quality options at Liberty Center, it's shocking that Kona Grill remains in business.

    We went to the restaurant for brunch to have the Croque Madame. However, they were out of the bread and indicated they would not be able to make the sandwich even if using the bread from the French toast. That was the only reason we had gone there. We stayed and ordered one sushi roll, edamame, a salad with chicken added, a side of breakfast potatoes, a beer and a Mimosa. The restaurant was maybe 25% filled. Yet, service was extremely slow overall notably drinks from the bar (slow, not at the same time and with a dirty glass), sushi from the sushi station (came after the other person’s salad was 50% eaten and is asking twice). Additionally, beside our table the hostess and one in training was approached by another table for how long they had been waiting for service. The hostess was polite and gave a good response to the guest checking after checking who it was and that they would go get them - but the told the trainee people complain and you just say you will! The floor of the outdoor area was filthy and that side of the bar counter was COVERED in pollen. It’s really gone downhill here. There has to be a better option for your money! Total bill was $69 before tip for almost no food and terrible service :(

    Absolutely beyond too loud. We literally had to yell to talk at a small 2 person table.

    Service started a bit slow. Took 10 minutes before our server greeted us to take water and drink orders. Very busy night. Light server/ staff support. They did there best. Prices are a bit high compared to the quality and quantity of the menu items.

    We ordered 5 entrees and were comped for 4. The ribs were dry and Overcooked, and were supposed to have a sauce Asked for it but never got it. One meal arrived 10 minutes after the others. . The steak was over cooked. The mashed potatoes were a dry lump. The green beans were undercooked. The only think we liked was the sushi roll and the potato fingerlings. We were not offered waters when we sat down. The server said that they got a new chef and it was “hot or miss”. I would not recommend to go there.
