    Overall good experience. Recommend the ribeye meatball appetizer. The sea bass was outstanding. Like the Blue Moon draft but put an orange slice in it next time :)

    We ended up having 12 people in our group and was originally outside. It was way too hot outside where they had us seated. The sun was right on us on the patio. They were very accommodating and moved us inside and was helpful with the addition to our party. It was a birthday celebration so they stored our cake in the fridge. Very nice of them to offer. The food was just okay though. We went for Mother’s Day and the food was sooooo good. However, this day it was just okay. The creamy Mac and lobster was not the same. Not as creamy. The steaks were bland and dry (cooked medium). The fries were cold. The food could have been better and the inside is way tooo cold temperature wise. But the staff was amazing and accommodating

    We booked this reservation for our anniversary dinner and were severely disappointed. Once we were sat, no one ever came to greet us or take our drink orders. Ten minutes after we were seated, another party was seated at a table next to us. A server ended up coming to take their drink orders before ours and still no one had even come to our table to greet us! I ended up having to speak to the hostess just to get a server to come to our table. All in all, we were seated 20 minutes before our drink orders were taken. Then to make it more annoying, we waited another 10 minutes after ordering only to be told they were out of the wine and beer my husband and I ordered. Our server was nice enough but not apologetic for all the waiting we did, and barely came to check on us during our meal. The whole dinner was frustrating and disappointing. We will NOT be recommending Kona Grill at Liberty Center to anyone.

    Food was ok - filet better than strip (lot of fat). My son asked for fries instead of mashed - waiter said up charge - fine. Actually had to pay another $9.00 for fries and his food came out with mashed and fries. Lots of runners but not a lot of waiters/waitresses.

    Great outdoor dining! Went to listen to music and enjoy the nice weather. Food was delicious. Apps took a while to come out, but all else was wonderful.

    We have been to Kona Grill many times without many issues. Tonight, not so good. Food was good as always. Service was slow. Entree were served separately and not at the same time. Drinks were ordered and slow to be served, Salad was forgotten but brought out after dinner. Only good thing was that it was removed from the bill.

    We made a reservation but it was not busy but service was so slow! Food was ok.. had a big party and took way too long. Advertise 45 minutes power lunch, not everyone got that but still service was VERY SLOW! No offer for refills, salad had soggy apples.. second time there and not impressed.. probably won’t be back.

    We asked for standard indoor table and they sat us in the Terrace upstairs. The sub was horrible and they didn’t know how to adjust the adjustable sun shades. Waited forever. Was served cocktail on a cracked glass. Finally got our food but the had to stare at it for nearly 5 minutes waiting in silverware. Food was good. Just not the experience that we expected. Not worth the expense at all.

    The evening was perfect for al fresco dining. The Kona meatballs were a delicious starter. My poke bowl was perfectly prepared and had great portions of salmon and tuna. Our waitress was knowledgeable and the manager stopped to ensure our meal was prepared the way we wanted. It was nice to relax and listen to the live music on the square while enjoying a margarita and sangria.

    We had a reservation for 1:30 pm for a party of 10. We showed up early and were sat early. The hostess was kind enough to let us change our seating from indoor to outdoor when we got there. We had great drinks, great food, and our server was great. The assistant manager also checked on us while we were eating. She was super nice! Really appreciated the extra check in.

    I made a last minute reservation for outdoor seating. I received confirmation. Upon arriving, the hostess started seating us inside. I asked if we could sit outside. The hostess said no problem and directed us to the rear staircase and said the hostess upstairs would seat us. Again, the hostess went to seat us inside. I again asked if we could sit outside and she escorted us to an outdoor table. We waited at our table for 15 minutes while numerous servers made eye contact and continued to walk past our table. After 15 minutes of no interaction we decided to leave. I stopped at the hostess stand and told them why we were leaving and someone who appeared to be in management said he could get a server to take care of us. I told him at that point it was too late and we wished to leave.

    We sat on the patio. There was music playing on the bandstand-and in the restaurant,which was a little much, but they turned down their music when I requested it, I should have asked sooner. Kaitlin was a very attentive waitress. Food and service were great! We will be back again soon.

    Had a 7:15 res., got to host stand at 7:05, was told table wouldn’t be ready for another 45 min. And that they would text when table was ready, and that ticket times were 1 hour. Came back to check at 8:05 since I hadn’t received a text, was told table was ready, we were seated and waited another 15 mins to be greeted by server who was very kind, but informed us that ticket times were now 2 hours. We decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Wait staff/bartenders were kind and doing everything they could, but management dropped the ball on this one.

    What a disaster!!! Took my Mom for Mother's Day. It was obvious when we arrived that they had taken too many reservations. I haven't had an experience this horrendous in years. While I can't blame the server for the fact the kitchen was overloaded, he was in general, clueless. My Mom's food arrived 45 minutes after mine. We have to ask 3 times for silverware/napkin. I had to go to another table to get more soy sauce they filled a tiny bowl with my sushi and took the soy sauce. I ordered a draft beer, it was flat. told the server and instead of making it "right" he asked if I wanted a bottle. Had to ask a busser 10 minutes after we were finished eating if he could flag down our server so we could pay the bill and leave. Needless to say, will never ever go back. The only positive is the food was above average.

    I made a 6:30pm reservation in advance of Mothers Day. We got there and told us it would be another 30 to 40 minutes until our table was ready. Came back up to the desk after an hour and finally were seated. As we walked in a customer said good luck they had been there 2 hours and didn’t get their food yet. As we walked past our server she whispered to the host I’m not taking that table!! We sat there for 20 minutes with out even I’ll be right with you. The server purposely avoided us. Will never come back here again!!!!!

    Made reservations a week prior but still had to wait approx 30 minutes at the bar. Our server advised us when we were seated that dinners would take about 3 hours because of the number of customers overwhelmed kitchen staff capabilities. We did order an appetizer and my son and husband ordered sushi. I was able to order lettuce wraps. We were told Kona management does not have a restriction of the number of reservations on any given day!! This is a very poor management decision as it leaves a bad impression on all the guests restaurant experiences. This was a special day for me as it was Mother’s Day!!!! I specifically requested Kona Grill as we have enjoyed our past visits. This experience was totally unacceptable and we therefore will not be back anytime soon…if ever!

    Reservation was for 5:45. Didn’t get seated until 6:15. Put our order in at 6:30. Food did not arrive to our table until 8:05pm. They clearly accepted more reservations than they could handle, and the kitchen staff could not keep up. When our food did arrive, it was cold. Very disappointing!

    When we got there we had to wait 30 minutes when we already had a reservation. Came back once they said our table was ready and still was waiting 10-15 minutes. Once we got our table nobody said anything to us for about 15-20 minutes until we told somebody we didn’t get anything to drink or hadn’t ordered yet. I get that it was crowded because it was Mother’s Day. But I am all about communication if they would’ve just said I’m sorry or excuse us for the wait, will be with you as soon as possible we are just really crowded and understaffed or something I would’ve said okay. Because I’ve worked in restaurants and I understand. But the communication was not there. They gave us a bowl of ice cream for everything. Also they did give complimentary champagne out to everyone because it was Mother’s Day. The food was okay not great especially for the price. I would suggest going on a slow day during happy hour.

    I had a reservation for 10 people for 5 pm. We weren't seated until 5:30 pm. Once the server arrived, we were told they were behind and the food was taking 1 hour to an hour and a half. We decided to stay and placed our order at 5:45 pm. We asked if bread and salad could be served while waiting on the food and the server said that would take an hour as well. The server said there was no guarantee appetizers would be served in less than an hour as well. The serve did check on us periodically. At 7:30 pm we asked how much longer and the server stated another 45 minutes. We asked to speak with the manager, explained the situation and she apologized. She said it would be another 20 minutes, but we decided not to wait any longer. She said they were overbooked and apologized again. This was an extremely bad experience.

    The food took 1.5 hrs. from order until it was on the table. Food was barely warm and had a very dry crust on top like it had been sitting under a heat lamp too long. This was a Mother's day dinner so it was a bit disappointing. In fairness, the manager apologized for the very long wait and reduced the bill to try to compensate for that. Also the waitress was very nice and polite the entire time.

    The website and open table link referred to the entire menu plus a few Mother’s Day specials. More than half the menu was not available. We waited over 1.5 hrs for our food. You set your poor servers up to fail.

    Reservation at 3:15 for Mother’s Day. Didn’t get food until almost 4:45. One dish was cold and had to be sent back. Other tables seated after us were served both their appetizers and meals before our table. Wait staff (CJ) tried to make the best of it. Manager got involved and took our drinks off the tab for us. Weren’t able to leave until 6:00. We’re definitely expecting to be there almost 3 hours.

    Waited 2 hours for our food, ordered ribeye and Chilean sea bass and portions were small, over priced, and Steak was terrible with no flavor. We six margaritas as a party of six and walked out with a $450 bill sticker shocked. Servers tried hard and didn’t blame them; seemed over run by guests on Mother’s Day and could have been transparent about wait between orders. We would have never stayed.

    We waited 20 minutes after our reservation to be sat, and once we were, the waitress let us know food was taking about an hour and asked if we wanted to wait. We did wait. Once it began reaching an hour and 45 minutes, and the manager told us 30 more minutes, we decided to leave. The staff was overworked, but the server was great. I completely feel for them, as I know several other tables left before their food came too. All the while, people were still being sat and reservations were still available online.

    Our family had a lunch reservation for Mother’s Day. We were sat roughly on time but then had no service for over 10 minutes. Finally we asked someone to get our service and he proceeded to fill another table’s drink order before coming to us (even though we had been seated before them). He seem completely confused by the menu and simple questions about drink orders. I had to ask the guests at the table next to us to tell him we needed him for drink refills and to actually take our food order. He mostly ignored us while we waited over two hours for our food. When we’d ask about how long it’d be until our food arrived, he kept saying, “I don’t know” or “awhile.” Our food arrived luke warm at best, my daughters order was wrong and he brought out two of them (then added the second one to our bill). He did take the second one off when I told him to, after again waiting forever to track him down. At one point, we saw him just leaning up against a wall talking to a coworker while we flagged him down. Terrible experience, we won’t return for a special occasion as their team clearly cannot handle a high volume of guests.

    Waited 25 minutes after reservation time to be seated at a table that was available the entire time. It took more than 90 minutes to get our food after ordering Service started off well and finished well but there was a 30 minute gap prior to our food arriving where it was nonexistent, so we were staring at empty glasses for a while. When the food came out, 3 of the 7 meals were incorrect or missing items. Another 3 of the 7 meals had dishes that were not to the correct temperature. The one that was just right was sushi. Had to speak to the manager to get things corrected as best they could be. The staff was very friendly and addressed the concerns I communicated. They provided a $30(about 10%) discount, which we did not ask for, but was a nice gesture. I have had quite a few nice meals at this particular restaurant and we are not swearing it off for good, but I do not think I would ever go there for a holiday meal again. It appeared that several other tables had the same experience as us, so I am not sure they are well equipped for that type of sustained crowd.

    After ordering drinks and no food for 2 hours we left. Our waiter did not know what the problem was. Not his fault. All the tables around us was experiencing the same problem. I made reservations at least 6 weeks before which they had on the computer. Not just like we strolled in wanting to dine. We left and knowing that every restaurant was full on Mothers Day we ended driving thru Skyline for chili. I will never ever return to Kona, even if they offered free food and had a limo pick me up. I will and have already begun telling everyone I know about this experience. They all agreed to never dine there either.

    My kids and I had a reservation at Kona Grill for noon on Mothers Day. We were sat at noon however we waited nearly 2 hours from the time we ordered until we received our meals. There were four of us at our table. The wait staff did not let us know there was an issue although we overheard them telling the table next to ours that there would be an hour wait for their food. That table arrived about an hour after us. The manager came over after we received our food to check in. She did not apologize for the wait and only offered to take something off our bill after I called out that we waited for our food for nearly two hours. Our bill was $150.00 and they took off $10. I won't be returning.

    It was Mother’s Day, two kids on our party. It took 15 minutes to have us seated than 20 minutes for someone to take our table’s drinks order… we all could have order since we were already there for 20 minutes but no one bothered to ask. 15 minutes later our drinks were brought in cracked cups, order finally taken and 2 hours later we still didn’t have food and servers kept saying 15-25?minutes for the food and we gave up. We decided to cross the street and eat BBQ that was delicious and service AMAZING!

    If I could leave negative stars I would. We had an inside reservation for 3 on Mother's Day at 1130. We were seated outside. Which was okay or so we thought. At 1:15 after we had still not received our food we asked our waitress for the bill for our mimosas so we could leave. Shortly after our food arrived - everything was ice cold. And we had been sitting in the sun for almost 2 full hours. I will never attempt to go to this restaurant again.

    Made reservations here for a Mother’s Day brunch. We were seated right away and put our order in shortly after. It took an hour and a half for the food to come out and it was all cold. With having reservations and the restaurant knowing it was a holiday weekend I would have thought they would be more prepared. My family and I left dissatisfied all around and do not plan to return.
