Tonight’s dinner was amazing for my husbands birthday dinner. We visited on Mother’s Day and it was very busy and had a few issues. Kevin, main guy, offered to make things right and pay for our next dinner. Camden was an excellent server for us tonight as well. Highly recommend her.

It was our first time eating there! Everyone was so friendly. The drinks were good. The food came out hot & was delicious. It was my Husband’s Birthday & they let him pick out a dessert of choice off the menu which was very nice. He got the Carrot Cake & it was to die for. Karen was our waitress & she did a great job! It was a nice overall experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Calamari was overcooked and there was no AC in the restaurant with 90 degree temperatures outside. We were not notified before we sat down to order.

Kona always first tries sits you outside. Why would anyone in their right mind want to sit outside to enjoy a nice dinner in extreme heat?? Then they updated their menu removing all their sushi rolls. So if you go to Kona for the sushi it’s no longer on the menu. It was a favorite of ours so Kona is probably no longer a restaurant we would return to. It’s was an extremely expensive meal for what was on the menu

The Kona Grill is a chain . We've enjoyed eating at them in many places in the world. The Greater Cincinnati location is in a fashionable open-air shopping/ residential area. To he restaurant has a broad porch which is lovely place to dine, weather-permitting. We often take friends to share the meal with us. In addition to the "specials" offered, the menu is diverse, from sushi to refreshing entrees and combinations of both. The meals are generous and the specials can be shared as well. One of the highlights of meals is asking for an "orange bear." Designed as a part of the child's binto box meal, it's a whole orange cut to look like a teddy bear. It's a pallet-cleanser that brings a smile to us and our guests.

We had a reservation at 6pm with plenty of open seats. The hostess told us we could wait 10 minutes or be seated inside right away. We said first available was fine. We then were told it would be a second. 20 minutes later we were seated. It took 10-15 minutes for the server to even talk to us. She was actually a very sweet, very hard working server but it still took very, very long to get our drinks, got and finished our appetizer well before our one round of drinks came. The food was not good, the atmosphere was extremely loud. It was total chaos in there and no one working there seemed to care except our server Dahlia who was delightful, the only bright spot.

We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and had a reservation, but still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Then we were sat right next to the kitchen. My husband’s head got hit in by a server walking by with a tray (she didn’t even realize or apologize). The server who brought our appetizer to us spilled on my son and our table (didn’t apologize). The food is also extremely overpriced. Just overall a very subpar experience.

Horribly overpriced for what you get. Overcooked food, soup that now tastes like the prior clam chowder with a ton of water and raw onions in it. Dry, flavorless mashed potatoes. And considerably higher than comparable restaurants in the area. Sadly, we've gone there a lot over the years but this was likely our last time.

We’ve been going to Kona Grill at Liberty Center for years but it just isn’t what it used to be. Particularly our waiter on this visit. It just isn’t the same as it used to be.
