Awesome as usual. Great food and awesome atmosphere
We asked for high top in our reservation, but did not get it. No real big deal.
Busy night took 2 hours for dinner...
More things went wrong here than right unfortunately. The happy hour only has one gluten free option. Our wine glass came dirty from the previous persons what I assume was sangria. Sushi fell apart while eating it. Our server was very nice but did not seem knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered a second round that we waited 15 min for them cancelled so we could go elsewhere.
The manager was also very helpful in giving more gluten free options. And ensuring that our new glass came freshly clean.
Took over an hour for food and it was not good no flavor at all highly disappointed I will not be going back here again
Thoroughly enjoyed Kona Grill! It’s within walking distance to the hotel we stay at and everything was great! First timers, too! :)
Absolutely impressed with the food! We loved everything we ordered and will be back! You must try the bbq sliders!!!! I'm very picky and never give 5 stars much... This place gets a BIG 5 * (STARS)
Me and my wife went here for Valentine’s Day, we had been waiting for someone to come to the table for 10 minutes. I was worried. The bartender seen we hadn’t been helped and came over and took our table. Her name was Sarah and we won’t sit at another table unless she is our waitress. She made our whole experience excellent.
Valentine's day. Was busy but they had lots of help. Took one hour and twenty minutes to get food. Seated at 8:15 on time.
Enjoyed our evening on Valentine’s Day. They were crowed but we had a great time. Our waitress did a great job .
Kona Grill is normally one of our go to restaurants, however on Valentines Day the service was wretched. It started with our waiter not knowing how to open a bottle of wine, continued with a very long wait for food, no bread served, and when the food did show up after an hour wait it was cold.
On the plus side the manager comped us with a free desert, but then we weren't planning on desert anyway.
We were sat on the enclosed outside patio it was drafty so I had to keep my coat on. Server seemed new, she was friendly but everything took soooo long. We didn't like one of our rolls
Our experience at Kona was very disappointing. We had reservations for 7:30 on Valentine’s Day with a show scheduled for 10pm and it took over 2 hours to get in and out for just the two of us. It took almost an hour to get our appetizers (edamame and a sushi roll) and another hour for our entrees. We knew it would probably be busy on Valentine’s Day but that sort of wait time seemed excessive. When we did receive our food, both entrees were bland and seemed rushed. My $30+ fillet mignon was cut into strips like a skirt steak. The only thing that made the experience positive was our server and his excellent service and communication. The kitchen was terribly backed up and we felt bad watching the servers stress over keeping their tables content. Our server did give us a free dessert for the negative experience with both the service and quality of food but it all and all was an unpleasant experience. Would not recommend Kona for a date night and probably won’t be back again.
It was Valentine’s Day so super busy, but service was very disorganized many parties including ours didn’t even get silverware and had to wait after getting our food to get some. Drinks and refills were also too slow. It wasn’t consistent of our previous visits so hopefully a one time issue. Because it was Valentine’s Day they crammed in as much furniture as possible making our table impossible to sit at. My wife had to sit in the aisle which was disappointing.
Meal finally came. We ate
Waited over one hour for food. Manager had no concern or sympathy. No discount given. Will not return
We went to Kona Grill for a Valentine's Day dinner and we were very pleased with the overall service on such a busy night. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great atmosphere, including a nice dine in bar area. The menu has lots of options that are in addition to sushi. The sushi and the paad thai is very good and priced moderately. We are looking forward to going back.
Overall, it was a good experience, but the kitchen was extremely slow. It took about a half hour to get our appetizer out. Then another 20 to get our dinner which was a salad and chicken skewers, not complicated food.
Waitress was amazing, food was perfect.
Would recommend on the food and ambiance. Service was not great but it was Valentines Day so may have been part of the issue. Server was not educated on food or drink. Didn’t know what Riesling wine was and when we ordered a coffee with side of Baileys, she brought parsley bc she thought we said “bay leaves “! Never delivered appetizer of soup but brought it “to -go” and still charged us.
I’d give it another shot bc the food was good.
this was for Valentine’s Day! Our server did excellent and the food was so very good. Very pleased with my overall experience.
We were taken to second floor for seating...elevator was not available for some reason. I have a bad knee and was forced to use the steps. The noise level in the room was so loud that we had to shout to talk at the table...reminded us of a school cafeteria. The service was excellent. The food was above average for the price range.
Food is delicious and serving size is great. We sat in a room that is converted to in door in the winter and you could feel a cold draft coming through the windows. The noise level was pretty high, which was unfortunate as my wife and I had difficulty talking over our Valentine's Dinner.
On Valentine's Day we arrived at the restaurant and the hostess seated us upstairs when they had plenty of tables downstairs where it was quit and romantic. The upstairs is a large bar and very noisy, not a Valentine's day place for dinner even at 4:30. My wife ordered a filet prepared medium. Both meals arrived together. Her steak was well done, the server was very nice and appoliged and removed her plate. Fifteen minutes later another steak returned, the waiter asked her to cut it to make sure it was ok. She did and it was well done again. I finished my meal at the first serving and didn't want to wait while they messed up another filet. They didn't charge me for the filet. But, charged me for mine. They ruined my Wife's Valentine's Day dinner and displeased me as I wanted to show her a special night.
Food was good. The service was a little slow.
Nice place and good food (varied and creative)
A little mix up when we arrived (party of 7) which took the staff 10mins to sort out (the table was not ready but they managed to arrange a table separately and then, things got better)
Great food. Odd smell near our table
The food was remarkable, as always. We had a 7:15 reservation, on a Saturday night, and were seated right away. The restaurant was busy, so our service was a little slow, but the server was very friendly and apologetic. It was a little noisy.
Food was very good. Our server was good but drinks came very slowly...
Excellent sushi. Service was good. They were quite busy early on a Saturday night but we had a reservation and didn’t have to wait for a table.
Went with friends. Server was great. Gave good feedback. 4 of us got several items & split them. Food was very good. Sat on 2nd Fl.
Happy hour food and drinks were awesome. Great variety and value to try something different.
First my wife and I spent $107 before tip. Kona then sent an update to open table stating I missed my reservation. Opentable took my points away. I contacted Kona, never heard back. Order a bottle of wine, after 15 minutes we were served 2 glasses. Took them away and 10.minutes later we got our bottle. I later ordered a glass for.myself as my wife and I finished the bottle and she was still eating. Got the bill and it had 2 single glasses of wine on it PLUS the bottle. Very frustrating nite. I cant recommend this place.
The food was very good. The service was a little slow but what do you expect for a Saturday evening? Our server was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.
Everyday dining. Ate at the bar great aervice
It's a little pricey but the food was excellent and the flight of Margaritas is a stroke of genius.
The food was great! The restaurant was really noisy though. They had an Irish band playing every so often that was nice. The service was a little lacking though. It was not really all our waitresses fault. I had to send back two drinks and finally gave up. I ordered two sushi dishes but only received one. I guess they thought I did not need it. Otherwise, we still a great time.
This place is amazing. I recommend a reservation if going during peak times because everyone loves this place. Great food and the servers are friendly and quick.
Server could have been better. Not sure if this is her first job. Brought my sushi before the appetizer even though we were very specific that was our entree. Other than that meal was great.
