Kona Grill - Boca Park
Service has always been good at this place. But not on our last visit. I think they are short staffed and barely see our server. We had to ask water from other server. Other than that, food is amazing! Keeps coming back to kona. Chopped salad is my favorite.
Have been here many times. Consistently excellent fresh sushi and poke bowls.
Good atmosphere, great service. Goid music. All around good time.
The food was really good. It was fairly busy but, my party was seated immediately. The place has a cool lay out. We sat outside and the breeze was very nice. I'll definitely be back again.
We went on Mother’s Day so I knew that service would be backed up some. But what I didn’t appreciate is when I came in and checked in for my reservation, the hostess looked at me like she had no clue what I was talking about and didn’t even check a reservation list or ask what the name was on the reservation or anything of the sort. Made me feel like I wasted my time making a reservation since we were seated like we were walk ins.
I understand it was Mother’s Day. 3 tables who arrived after us got served b4 us. Our appetizer came close to an hour to receive. The food was mediocre. The only part that was pleasant was our waiter. He was engaging & did the best he could with what he could help. He did it tastefully. He never blamed anyone else as I have heard servers do. Nothing negative about the company or staff. He made sure we knew he hadn’t forgotten about us. Our children’s burger was “rare”. They ate the sides. I almost took pictures to post because I was in disbelief. The Sea Bass was like rubber but we didn’t want to wait any longer. I sent the Pad Thai noodles back because it tasted like seafood though I ordered chicken. After paying $100+bill, I went down the street to get a burger because I was still hungry. I’ve been here for appetizers, maybe I will return for that if I’m in the area. I drove clear cross town to come here.
We arrived around 12:30 P.M. on Mother's Day. I expected a crowd, but didn't expect three different employees to interrupt the hostess as she tried to tell me where my party was seated. I'm not sure what happened but as I arrived my elderly parents in their 80's were sitting at an outside counter while my two older brothers (in their 60's) set up a table for us on the patio. We had a reservation and arrived on time, but apparently they weren't ready for us.
Our waitress was fabulous. I enjoyed my Cesar Salad except for the immense amounts of dressing slathered on it. This wasn't the best of our visits, but we'll go back. I hope that the restaurant is prepared for busy days in the future.
Mother day.....severely understaffed. Food was amazing. Always is ....service was awful. Two hours for lunch and we had to hunt down the manager to get service after being seated for 20 minutes.
I've been to Kona Grill maybe 3 times in my life. This time I took my mother for an early Mother's Day lunch on 5/12/19. I made reservations because I knew it might be busy, even around 1130am. I was semi right, but thought it would be no big deal as we had reservations. Having said that, it seemed that the woman seating people was a little slow and the other "hostess" or manager basically passed us off to the slow hostess. Not a huge deal, but thought they could do better. Our server (I did not get her name) was great! She had our table and within our outside area another bigger table. I ordered the coconut chicken and it was amazing! My mom ordered the pulled pork sliders. She said they were great, but I was hoping she'd try a fancier dish...but it was her day! In any event, solid visit and solid service. I'll be back.
I’m finding there’s no point to note a “special occasion” on the Open Table reservation page. Have done it several times, and the restaurants fail to acknowledge it.
Kona Grill is a good place, very enjoyable Happy Hour options. We’ll be going back.
Server took too long for everything we ordered appetizers and when she came back and asked how everything was tasting if we needed anything...we still hadn't even ordered our meals so of course ee needed something to order our entrees then we ordered saki bombs and she brought us out an empty shot took long for everything was horrible and that was my birthday dinner bc i love the place but yea the service this time was horrible
Great food! Sunday is whole day Happy Hour. Great place for family and friends. Kids menu is awesome. My daughter loves coming back here.
Great menu great food!! The atmosphere was great and our server was on top of her game! Came by at the right times!! Iur favorite neighborhood place!!
Excellent late dinner- Mitchell our server was fantastic- so kind and patient! Didn’t feel rushed even though it was late on a Monday night! His suggestions were spot on- I had the macadamia nut chicken and my son the chili salmon entree- both delicious! Will be back!!
Service was terrible. Experience was terrible. Made resv for my birthday. Watched others walking in from street getting seated before us. Finally seated, no one came to our table for a LONG TIME. Husband asked mgr if he could send a server to our table, server arrives annoyed/grumpy. He said “you ready to order?”... really? He didn’t know if you offer Diet Coke. Really? We placed appetizers/dinner order because my poor daughter was starving. Then another party got seated right next to us, same server approached them within a few seconds. Why didn’t the server approach our table that quickly? Seriously, we sat there over 10 - 15 min with no one making contact with us. After we saw that, we left. You made my birthday a disappointing experience.
The service was great. I enjoyed the Kona coffee glazed ribs. Loved the taro fries. Restaurant was really noisy and did not like how tv’s were placed around the restaurant. Felt too much like all the seating was in the bar area.
There was a Happy Hour menu but our server did not let us know. We saw some other people eating items that were not on the regular menu and we asked about them. She said, "Oh, that's from the Happy Hour menu, you should have asked for it." I said, "How would we know to ask for it?" And then she said, "Oh, that's right." and brought the menu. Then adjusted the prices for things we had already ordered to the Happy Hour price. Not sure if it was an oversight, she was busy, or just looking to keep the tally higher. Either way, it was odd. But the food was great and I would definitely go again.
I first went to Kona Grill with my red hats group. I was so impressed I had to take my husband two weeks after my first visit. He loved it just as much. I will definitely be coming back.
Food and service was excellent, we even made happy hour which was a plus as well.
Best Happy Hour in Vegas!
We started out with happy hour in the bar. Great prices on drinks. Then we had their Valentine's special three course dinner. Service was awesome and food was delicious. We will be back!!!
Our meal was outstanding, my wife ordered a Cuban sandwich and I had the Korean chicken sandwich and a side house salad. The service was excellent. One of our favorite places
Went here for a girlfriends bday- her choice!
Sooo parking sucks, u literally have to park on next parking lot and walk over cuz parking near restaurant is slim to none; Making reservations were easy. Greeting at door by hostess, all very nice and polite. Sat at the table for awhile - longer than we should w/out seeing our waitress due to being busy. We all ordered drinks along w/waters, waters came to the table w/straws in them already?? Same w/soft drinks.. during refills she would take our cups & straws and we don’t kno if she just filled them or gave us new ones?! Place is LOUD, waitress had hard time taking our order & we all thought we were screaming lol. Food was on point & very good. A friend wanted fish and misunderstood the FILET to be fish and not steak, which was weird cuz waitress never asked her how she wanted her steak either. Pricing is fairly resonable, menu is mainly sushi and fish soo b ready, but they do have burgers/sandwiches. Overall good experience and well def b back, just would love to kno abt those straws🤭
We were staying at the JW Marriott and needed an offsite place for dinner. Kona Grill had a great variety of food. My wife had the jambalaya which was pretty spicy (we were warned by the waiter) but very good. I had the Kona Stir Fry and I was equally satisfied. Our waiter was very attentive and the ambiance inside (including the ability to watch the chef's cook) was great.
The waiter was amazing, and the food was great!
The calamari is an amazing appetizer. So yummy! And the sushi was great.
I enjoyed the vibe. The salad was flavorful so I'd recommend it to others.
The food is always excellent, as is the ambiance, the buzz and the service. This visit we tried different entree's than we usually get and were not disappointed. The thing that made our meal there that day was the server. She knew when to attend to us and when to leave us be. So accommodating. KG is one of our favorites in Las Vegas. We LOVE the carrot cake and always get a slice to go home with us.
Excellent meal. Kona Sirlion, Pulled Pork Sliders, Pot Sticker and Spicy Shrimp Tempura all excellent.
First time and the last time that is for sure
I had been looking forward to visiting the restaurant. The food was average at best. The lighting fixtures were awesome, but besides that, I won’t be going back, unless a friend is adamant we go.
Waitperson not pleased that alcohol was not ordered at lunch.
Love the sushi at this place but I got a main entree of red snapper and it was flavorless and not very Appetizing...I’ll
Stick with the sushi
Good food. Service sub par. They forgot our silverware and one of our rolls. Meanwhile I have a booth next to the computers and I can hear the waiters complaining about their tips for the night.
They were very busy. We were early but a table had just opened up. My wife chose th ed Cuban Sandwich and I went with a chicken entree. Th ed food was delicious. The service was attentive and we highly recommend you try.
There were four of us at lunch. The food was great, service w as s outstanding.
Sushi was fresh and well prepared. Service was good too.
I love Kona Grill in Baltimore and when I moved to Vegas and saw one out here I had to experience. Great food, service and atmosphere. Personal preference would be more romantic mood setting like in Baltimore but still enjoyable and I will definitely go again!
Kona Grill is consistently great. A wonderful place to take the kids and for families. it's a big menu with lots of choices. I've never had a bad meal. Lots of comfort food.
We made a reservation 2 hours prior to the time but when we arrived they had no tables available for us except a high table right at the door. They gave us an option of waiting 30-40 min or go upstairs and sit almost outside. We went upstairs but it was too cold and some of the heaters were broken so we were about to leave when somehow the manager found a table in the dining room next to the kitchen and basically part of a birthday party!!
Food was really good but the overall experience was poor.
Tried the kona grille at fashion show mall. Loved the food. Decided to take my sister for her birthday - went to the boca park location. The chefs should be trained by fashion show chefs. Food was tasteless everything ed ordered. Will not return even though the the service was excellent
