This was an awful experience. We begged for water and didn’t get it until after our food was delivered. I literally went to the hostess and begged for water and she told me to calm down. How complicated is it to just give us water after asking over and over again. Will never go back to this place and I don’t recommend anyone else go here. The worst service I’ve ever experience. Didn’t even now this type of service existed.
It was a fantastic lunch! We were greeted and sat near the open windows on the nice day, I ordered three different kinds of sashimi and a side of brussel sprouts that were fresh and delicious. My coworker and I were able to relax and such, and the service was great, we were able to enjoy our meal, the manager even stopped by to see how we were. Love being able to make a reservation also. I will definitely be enjoying another meal at Kona again soon!
loved the restaurant was very nice took my daughter for 18th birthday food was fine prices was ok. would love to return parking a lil challenging though.
It was very loud but the food wasn’t terrible .It’s definitely high priced food . The sake was delicious tho.
I admit, I had read the reviews about Kona Grill and was a bit apprehensive about diningvthere. The reviews were spotty. Imagine my relief when our server, Ashley, approached our table and introduced herself. In prior reviews, Ashley was lauded as excellent & making sure her guests were well taken care of. On our visit, she did not disappoint, nor did the food.
I must mention that we went with two children, ages 6 & 8. Most higher end establishments frown on having children in their restaurant, but Kona caters to them! Let’s face it, we knew we would be dropping a considerable sum on dinnerand drinks, so having a child’s bento box for just $8 was a relief. A child’s entree of cheeseburger sliders , a California roll, or chicken tenders was just up my kids alley. And two sides (endamame, fries or mac and cheese to name a few options) plus a drink was perfect. A brownie and ice cream dessert was just $1.
The adults in our party had several house margaritas. Not a big glass by any means at $10, but very well made and delicious. I had the California roll and Spider roll (made with soft shell crab). Both excellent. My partner had the Chicken Pad Thai noodles and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Being Easter, we expected long lines and wait times. Nope. We got there earlier than our reservation and were promptly seated - cheerfully. The reviews about snooty hostesses did not pan out. In fact, the hostess was cheerful as we were leaving and wished us a good evening....& to come back soon.
Someone in upper management is definately listening to the reviews and making enhancements. Don’t let prior reviews steer you away from Kona Grill. It really hits the mark!
The staff was really nice ! I would tell all my friends to go .
Tenease, Thank you for the positive review! We are so glad you had a great experience! Looking forward to seeing you soon! Antonio- AGM Kona Grill- Baltimore
Las Vegas rolls and macadamia but chicken were awesome. The restaurant was noisy I guess because we were next to the DJ. It’s a modern hip restaurant. Wouldn’t go with family. Just friends or date night.
Love eating at the kona grill! Glad we’re able to use the online reservation system

Kona grill was AMAZING! Excellent server (Curtis) and the salmon + shrimp fried rice was so good. The red sangria was a nice touch as well. Will be returning soon!

All was well me and my family went there for vacation. It was different expect had a great time
Server had terrible service but the general manager saved our experience. The sever seemed annoyed. Food was good.
Great food and service sitting at the bar. Always consistent across Kona Grill locations - love their sushi

Took an hour for us to receive our appetizers and drinks. Took an hour and a half for the food to arrive to our table cold and finally in Togo boxes. If you want to spend 150 bucks and 2.5 hours of your time wasted then this is the place Togo. Food was cold and so salty. I’m glad I live in NJ because the Kona Grill in Baltimore , MD was garbage. It was my first time visiting a Kona Grill for my daughters birthday and it was my last. Never again. Eat at your own risk everyone. Oh did I mention the hostess put on my reservation as “no show” after asking 3 times my name and my reservation time. I arrived 20 minutes before reservation and let them know I arrived as soon as I reached the front. ... says a lot at this point. I can go on and on but I am back home and it’s a nightmare behind me. And No I don’t want to speak to a manager or want feedback. Shoot I don’t even want to remember this experience after today.
XOXO - A guy who’s time and money got wasted and learned his lesson.
Kadie/Katie, our server, was excellent. She was knowledgeable of the menu. She was attentive, but did not hover. The sea bass was amazing and the well done steak was tender, juicy and rich with flavor.
Made a reservation for a birthday, party of 2, but still had to wait over 20 minutes to be seated. It then took about an hour to get food to the table. I’m assuming they were short-staffed, but it wasn’t very busy, so the wait was a little absurd. Food was good, but they ran out of mashed potatoes and the orders were messed up. Overall, not the best experience, but staff was nice.
Great food great service I enjoy everything
Great food and service. Ambience was very lacking: too casual and too bright.
Thank you for the positive review! We are so glad you had a great experience! Looking forward to seeing you soon! Antonio AGM
Nothing to write home about!
Understaffed in a major way.
Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese are bland. Payed extra for the mac & cheese, it’s not worth it. Ribeye cut is extremely fatty
Kona Grill has gone waaaaaay down in my opinion. I understand things have been hard during the pandemic, but the food was fair at best and the waitress was moving way to fast with everything and wound up spilling edamame orange garlicky oily spicy sauce all over my jacket when she was rushing to clear the table. No manager came to our table to apologize, offer to pay for the dry cleaning I had have done to my coat the next day nor even offer us anything as a consolation. I will not be going back there to eat again!!
I didn’t know what to expect because it was different for us. But when I say it was great I mean just that 💪🏾💪🏾. We will definitely be back.
The place had a very weird smell , so we left before being re seated because that was a turn off. Will not be back
Tony was the goat
My 1sy experience good. Food was amazing and well done. Drinks on point I was tipsy 🥴🥴
My wife and I were seated pretty quickly. The waiter we had was great(unfortunately I don't remember his name). Food wise we order calamari for a starter It was okay. The sauce that come with the calamari really saves that dish in my opinion. My wife had the California rolls which she loved. I had the surf and turf. I ordered the steak medium, it came out medium well which was disappointing. The sushi roll it came with was pretty good. The frozen margaritas were spot on though.
We were welcomed and seated almost immediately with our reservation. The staff was very kind. Food and drinks were so delicious and a reasonable price. They had a DJ but we didn’t enjoy the music much. It was a very good environment.
Worst restaurant experience. This should be categorized as an awful sports bar. Disappointed open table has this on their list
My boyfriend and I went for Valentines Day, we made a reservation so we were seated right away. The food was all so delicious! A little pricy but the quality of food is worth it. Place was cute and there was a live DJ.
Food came out over-cooked on one plate and the other was cold. The service was great, but all the smiles in the world won’t overcome a cold steak at $32.
The food was excellent!!!!
Anniversary
My husband and I had a lovely dinner. The food was excellent, the service was great. The are doing a great job of being Covid cautious while still maintaining a fun and comfortable atmosphere.
Antonio was wonderful! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Only thing on our reciept he put cash tip are better. Coming from being a server I totally get it but it doesn't look good for him to do that. It was off-putting. Other than that the night was wonderful and we will be back! GM stopped by our table and was very kind. The bartenders were both wonderful too! Great Food, Drinks and service
Advertised as outdoor seating and it is not. The "patio" is completely closed in. Food was fine-- I got the Valentine's day special salmon with cauliflower hash. The hash was a little strange, but tasted fine.
A nice surprise, for an impromptu stop for lunch. Great homemade pickles!
We had a ball. Came for brunch and stayed well into the first quarter of the Super Bowl! Great service and drinks!!
There were such different food options. My boyfriend and I were visiting Baltimore for my birthday and we were so happy with our food options. The sea bass sliders and the avocado egg rolls were amazing.
Just an underwhelming experience all around.
You know we absolutely love Kona Grill. At one point we were driving from Bowie Maryland to Baltimore Maryland ( about 45 mins) every few days but the last two times I’ve booked the service has been sooooooooo TERRIBLE and unprofessional. The only good thing about this place to my family and I who typically spend $150 every time we go is the food and drinks are actually really good and one server named Jessica. As well as the bartender Tim.
The hostess Kelly is unprofessional and lacks to inform customers of any new city covid updates and how they go about them . Alisha acts as if this establishment is a high school gossip round table as well as the assistant manager Tyisha. As a manager there is a certain way you carry yourself but the having your cleavage out and a “ I don’t have time for this attitude “ when we are here daily makes it really hard to want to return . Jessica definitely knows what customer service is . She gets her work done , and goes and makes sure we are okay every time even she’s not our server. Eric the general manager tries as hard as he can as well it’s just the last two interactions until there is better well groomed staff who remember that this is a JOB , a BUSINESS, will we most likely return. I’m wishing Jessica, Tim, and Eric the best of luck with their unprofessional coworkers in a time like this when kindness and professionalism goes a long way.
