We enjoyed our trip up to Alpharetta to try Kona and loved it! The favorites were the jalapeño yellowtail sashimi, meatballs and the butter cake. The Midtown Manhattan was also a great drink to end the night with. Would definitely go back to enjoy the large outdoor patio and watch a game at the bar.

I spent the evening at Kona Grill in Alpharetta and it was such a vibe—perfect for date night, catching up with the girls, or treating yourself to a solo night out. I ordered the lemon garlic chicken (a must-try), and the shrimp tempura roll was fresh and flavorful. Presentation was beautiful—very Instagram-worthy if you’re into that (and let’s be real, I am). All in all, Kona Grill gave luxe-yet-laid-back energy, and I’ll definitely be back!

The dining experience left much to be desired, which was unfortunate because I've eaten here many times before and really enjoyed my meal. I was here for lunch and ordered off the express lunch menu with 2 other friends. An hour and half later they were finished and I was still waiting for my meal. Evidently the kitchen was short staffed, and our waitress was untrained (and inattentive). The manager was kind enough to comp all the meals for our table, but there is work to be done here. The wait staff can't do their job if the kitchen isn't doing theirs. There didn't seem to be any communication or recognition of a problem until I brought it to their attention. I appreciated the effort by management to alleviate the situation for our table, but hopefully they will work on getting to the root of the problem.

Kona Grill is the place to book if you’re looking to have a girls day and enjoy an amazing curated menu. The yellow tail and espresso martini is going to be my summer go to. The flavors of the lemon penne pasta give me the vibes of Italian summer. It’s so fresh and delicious. I was able to enjoy the new 3 course menu and I’ll definitely be back to try more.

Food is good. But service is slow. They should have more servers for such a busy location in Avalon Alpharetta. Drinks came after appetizers were servers and we had to remind our server multiple times. She looked over worked and tired. Kona grill should have more people serving and helping in that location.

It took an hour to get our food because the sushi bar was very backed up. We asked the manager to check on our food. He never came back. They never offered to comp an appetizer or anything. The poke bowl had spoiled lettuce. Very disappointing experience.

Our waitress was very nice and accommodating but we had to ask her about the menu specials and even then, she had to go ask someone and find the specials menu. They were out of limes, Coke Zero, and the wine that I wanted to order. They forgot about bringing out our salads and when they brought out our entrees and we asked about the salads, they said they would just keep our food hot under the heat lamp. Ladies bathroom was dirty and totally out of paper hand towels.
