I wish them the best, this is a hard time... and I’m trying really hard to be supportive. We made a reservation for outside for 4, we were seated at the smallest high top table .... everything was slow, which worked out well because had the food come out when it was supposed to it would have never fit on the table. So, our waitress would bring out one dish, and would swap out plates with her while we waited on the next dish.... because, super small table, meant for happy hour people sharing one appetizer not a family of 4. So, we all ate, one at a time, and watched each other enjoy their meal... the food was ok... $120 later, I would have picked a different restaurant.
On 5/25/20...When we arrived at 6:50pm, we asked the host at the front if we could sit outside but she told us NO the tables have all been reserved until 8pm and that we need a reservation...there were many empty tables outside. So I went online to see if I could reserve a table and bam! their website showed a lot of available reservation times from 7:15pm all the way to 9p I think meaning she lied to us about there being NO availability....so I made my reservation right there and she sat us after a few minutes..like wth!!!?? and all those empty tables remained empty for the 1 1/2 hours we were there.
At 1/2 Capacity they should be able to do a better job. Orders came out at different times. Steak was cold and raw in the middle. Martinis warm. Very disappointing experience
Poor service and lack of cleanliness will keep me from coming back
Not the best
Although the menu was not the original we were so happy to be there after so much time at home that all looked very good. The food was great and the service by Alyssa was great too. Can't wait for everything goes normal again and we will be back again.
Met 3 girlfriends on the back patio for lunch. The food was great even though there was a limited menu due to the pandemic. This place was a regular place for our girls' lunches. It was nice to get back out. We will definitely be back and show loyalty to the restaurants that reopened quickly.
Always good. Very quiet right now. Needs its customers to return.
It was great!
Such a great outdoor meal at Kona Grill! Friendly staff, yummy limited menu and great people watching from our patio table. We'll be back!
I have been and remain a Kona fan. On this occasion, they were working with a more limited menu and perhaps that is at least partially responsible for my enjoying this visit a bit less than I normally would have. The pot stickers appetizer was good, and the pepper glazed salmon was excellent, however, the sides that went with the salmon on this occasion were really not very good. This won't keep me from returning, but is something I will watch for the next time I am there.
Kona is back. So am I. Yay for them. They are working on a new menu, which I look forward to.
First post lockdown experience was great. Limited menu, well spaced, and mask clad cleanliness conscious server. Thank you!
18th birthday celebration
Kona Grill is great, and it's open. We went shortly after reopening, and they handled it perfectly. Food is still good. Service is still great. Very few people inside, but no surprise on that.
Great place for dinner or happy hour. We go every week.
Fun times, great food, our server was excellent, we will return!
Love this place and our server Rebecca was great! She made my daughters birthday special.
Food was awesome as usual and a member of management did visit our table once which was nice.
Definitely one of my go-to places!
Please, please replace the worn out chairs, the one I sat in was ripped wide open.
We have dined at Kona Grill many times and tonight has been the worst experience. We ordered 3 appetizers to share on the table and waited for 1 for more than 10 minutes after the others were brought to the table.
My son ordered the filet, thankfully he cut the steak in half before eating as when he did the steak was FROZEN in the center!! Disappointed is an understatement. My son decided to pick something else as we were not confident in this not happening again and were told by our server that they were not serving filet anymore.
We never received a visit from the manager to apologize until we asked to see one as they still had the dinner on our final check. They did eventually remove the dinner from check and that was the only good thing from the evening. It will be a long time before we are back!!
This was my boyfriend and my first visit to Kona Grill. Everything was excellent. We appreciate the made-to-order nature of all their dishes, as he has a gluten allergy and the restaurant modified a sauce for his classic poke. I ordered the sweet chili glazed salmon. The fish was cooked perfectly and the glaze the right amount of sweetness and spice, the soy-glazed Brussel sprouts were amazing, but the shrimp fried rice fell short. The taste was mediocre but the rice soaked in the teriyaki sauce and became soggy and overly sweet. Besides that, the ambiance was great for a Saturday afternoon. We were promptly seated and the wait staff attentive. Definitely returning to try the two other dishes I was eyeing.
The Restaurant decor is welcoming and modern and also fire tables outside. Some unique items on the menu with great drink collection. The portions are generous. The staff are cool and knowledgeable.
As what has become customary for my visits to Kona Grill, my friends and I were attended to by a sweet and patient server (this time it was Natalia) and the food was delicious and well prepared. It does tend to get a bit loud, especially when seated at a table near the center of the dining room, but when a place is popular you’ve just got to deal with it or visit earlier or on a weeknight. We were not rushed, which was nice. Joining the Konavore program is also a good benefit if you are a repeat diner at Kona Grill. I’ll be back again. And again. 😁
Thank you for sharing your feedback! Your experience is what makes it all count and we are thankful to hear that we are living up to our expectations! We look forward to enjoying your company, again, soon! Best, Michael
The food and service was great! It was way too loud in restaurant. Music was blaring to the point we felt we were at a dance club. It was not needed.
This place was fabulous! We celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday here. Food was fantastic, drinks were amazing and service was impeccable! They did a great job of making it a special time for us! We will be back!
We went to Kona with intent to use our OpenTable reward points . We never got to use them because we had a bad experience. We had 7:30 reservations, arrived at 7:25 and asked for a quiet booth since my fiance is hard of hearing and he can't hear me in noisy places. The receptionist said they had no booth but did have a quiet table. She had someone show us a table for two by the front desk, a high traffic area. Definitely NOT a quiet table. I asked for a more quiet spot for us and was told no. I asked about two other tables and was told no. We saw a table for four and asked about it but was told it was going to be set up for an 8 top reservation. We saw there were two OTHER tables being pushed together for an 8 top, but not the table we asked about. We told her this but she still said no. Finally she asked her associate to walk the room and see if there was another table. That girl found a high top table for four by the side door. We agreed to sit there. In hindsight we would not sit there again in winter as people kept opening the door and there was a constant cold breeze. We sat down at 7:35, our waitress - Jennifer - came to the table around 7:40 and took our drink orders. She took our food order around 7:45. Then she disappeared. We caught a glimpse of her a couple of times but she was not close enough to flag her down. After 30 minutes, another waitress asked if we needed something and told her we wondered where our food was. She asked who our waitress was and then headed back to the kitchen. 10min later we see our waitress and flag her down. We say we are starving and she offers edamame since it's gong to be 10 more minutes for our food. At 8:45 we get our food, my salmon is overcooked and barely warm, my fiance's fillet is under cooked and cold. 10 min later Jennifer asks how it is. We tell her and she has the manager, Lilly, come over and she apologizes, offers no explanation but comps part of our bill. Third time we've had issues here.

It was packed so food and drinks took a long time but the food was fantastic and the place was great.
We had appetizers and individual entrees, I had the salmon salad (blackened at my request) the salmon was delicious, but the greens not so tasty. Would have been better on a bed of spinach with mushrooms, bacon and boiled eggs like I get at Manja in Alpharetta.
Our first time to Kona Grill was a Saturday night and we enjoy the late night Happy Hour items. Busy and bustling but overall a very nice time out with my wife.
OMG!!! Went for the Valentine's special...what a disaster! I'm convinced that you should Never go to this restaurant during the busy Friday or Saturday nights as every time we go, it's obvious that the kitchen can't handle all the orders, the wait staff can't handle all the tables, so you wait almost one hour for your food & they bring you appetizers, entree & drinks all at the same time & the food is cold & under cooked.
The Valentine dinner was a joke! $90 for miniature portions that were presented to one diner with no extra plates, so I guess I was supposed to pay, but not eat. There was no where near enough food for 2 people & the steak was tough, over cooked, cold & the scallops/fish were under cooked & the mashed potatoes in a bowl tasted like instant. The only good part was that we had a super nice waitress that truly went out of her way to make things right. I made sure to let the manager know that she was awesome, but the meal not so much...Glad we paid with gift cards. We've been so patient with this restaurant since it opened, because it's always hit or miss...they really need to get their act together or this location will close as well.
Tried to pack way too many people into the restaurant due to the valentines holiday. We were seated inside on what appeared to be their patio tables and chairs which were wobbly. Furthermore we literally were so close to the table next to us that I could grab the food off the persons plate
Great servers, great service
Nothing bad to say about it at all it was a great meal and service i’ll be coming back
Customer service was amazing food was even better
Jennifer was an amazing server! Loved the ambiance...the entrees left a little to be desired but I would come back for sushi, drinks and great service!
This was our second visit here and it was for Valentine's/Birthday celebration. The food is mediocre and the ambiance is nice. Our waitress on the other hand had the worst attitude. She didn't acknowledge the celebration at all. I really would have enjoyed it better but her lack of customer service just stuck! I probably will give this place another try in hopes she will no longer be employed there in next couple of months.

Excellent venue great food lovely ambience , only blip was despite booking a month in advance and arriving on time our table was delayed which was understandable on a busy night but what was disappointing was that a friend of one of the staff walked in and was given our table . We were made aware on arrival this was our table as it was being cleaned .
We didn’t let it ruin the night and we eventually got seated 20 minutes late.
