   All of the rice on our sushi and fried rice was undercooked. The drinks were very sweet and not worth the price. Much better places to get cocktails at the Avalon.

   In a nutshell we were seated and waited about 15 minutes before our server came and acknowledged us. She then took our beverage order and came back in approximately 15 more minutes. We then ordered our appetizers and entrees. My guest entrees and appetizer was delivered in under 5 minutes by the kitchen staff. On the other hand I waited about 10 minutes and finally ask another server if she could check with our server regarding my entrees which was finally delivered about 10 minutes later. Lastly our server came over to ask how everything was and by that time my patience was more than over and I simply ask for the 2nd time if we could get silverware. Needless to say our appetizer was by that time cold. Not a Good Evening!!!

   Took one hour for food. Ordered 2 rolls, a kids meal and edamame. Edamame hadn’t come after finished the rolls so cancelled. Kids meal was bad. Never got drink refills. Waitress was very nice but food was not. Will not be going back.

   Food is tasty with great food choices. Wonderful atmosphere inside and out…Upscale but not pretentious. I preference the outside near the water fountain… Very relaxing to hear the water! Customer service and waiter/waitress were friendly, proficient and professional.

    Kona has gone way downhill. We had rolls that tasted old, the beer was meh (poor selection too) and the service was not great. Music was incredibly loud too Save yourself and go basically anywhere else at Avalon for a better experience

    The indoor area is way too loud. You can’t have a normal conversation without having to yell to the other members of your party. This is a restaurant and not a night club. The outside area where we sat was great.

    Appetizer came out mildly warm to cool. Food was poorly cooked and flavors were overwhelming or underwhelming, but never on point. Ambiance was noisy and energetic, fit for a younger crowd in their 20’s. Service was so so. You’ll feel more attended to by your local high schoolers working at chick fil a.

    The food is not very good. on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 3. The hostess told us she would turn on the heat lamp outside only to find out that turning on was not possible and no one offered to move us inside.

    Unfortunately, we left without eating. We waited for over an hour to get our food. The table next to us came after us and got their food before we did. They were packing their to go boxes and we still didn’t have our food. The waiter said he would go check on our food but he never came back. Too bad we won’t be back. We came here once before, and had a problem with slow service. The lemon garlic pasta was delicious though.

    Horrible and first and last time here. We waited close to 2hrs to get our food. Disappointing portion for the salmon entrée and calamari appetizer. Sushi roll rice looked nice but was very dry and had a bad tomato cucumber taste. I understand that things are not perfect considering Mother’s day crowd…but 2 hrs food wait time is not acceptable. We also did not get the roses for Mother’s Day as stated at check-in. Manager came and apologized and that’s it. It still took another 30mn before we got our food served. Conclusion: Our experience was really bad and will never recommend or go there again.

    We went on Mothers Day and yes it was crowded, but it took 2 hours to get our food for 3 of our party. The 4th in our party waited another 20 minutes to get the sandwich he had ordered. Our server, Jackson, was very attentive and kept checking with the kitchen to get updates on our food. The group at the next table gave up waiting for their meal and left after appetizers. Our food (salmon, ribeye, penne pasta, and a French dip sandwich) was good, but nothing special.

    This was Mother's Day. I can only hope the lack luster performance was due somehow to circumstances surrounding the increased traffic. However, having worked in hospitality..."we're busy", is never an excuse! Plastic utensils, plastic cups, lots of looking around for your server. Very disappointing.

    Worst experience ever. Mother’s Day “brunch”was a complete S**t show! Our reservation was at 1:15, didn’t get sat until 2:05, found out even though we were supposed to have time for brunch (our reservation was at 1:15) we wouldn’t be able to order brunch because brunch ended at 2:00, so had to order off reg menu and we didn’t get our food until 3:35 and only did we get it after talking with the manager because my kids were starving. Food FINALLY comes out and came out cold. Also because we had to wait so long and at so late, it ruined the rest of what we had planned that day. Pretty much the worst and most inconvenient Mother’s Day meal I have ever had. NEVER AGAIN! Two thumbs down!

    I usually like this restaurant but they were ill prepared for Mother’s Day. There was a long line for checking in, it took well over 20 minutes for my mimosa, our food took longer at an hour arrival. The server was nice but stressed. I won’t be going there again for Mother’ Day.

    One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. It was a Mother’s Day and naturally they were very busy. It took 45 mins to get an appetizer, customers who sat after my family was sat were served appetizers and their meal. Requested a manager and never got one.     I’ve eaten at Kona Grill a few times and have had a good experience, but this time was absolutely horrible. Me and my family ate at Kona Grill for Mother’s Day 2023 with a reservation at 12PM. Our waitress was nice, but the kitchen was out of control. We sat closer to the kitchen and the staff was constantly yelling so loud at each other to the point where people were complaining to the manager. With a 12PM reservation, we did not leave the restaurant until almost 3PM, with our food arriving over an hour late. When the appetizer came, it tasted old and cold and when the food came some items were missing and it was also cold. The French toast came without syrup lol because they ran out. This was a really bad experience and I hope that the management is replaced at this facility because I do like this restaurant. But after this experience I don’t plan to go back.

    Food snd service were good, but a reservation meant little. Had to check in w/ hostess, then await a text, getting seated 25 minutes after reserved time. Sunk into chairs and the banquet & table was seemingly overhead. I’m 6’2” . Crab eggs benedict and hollandaise were very good, though ham was nothing special. Spiced potatoes luke warm at best, but server noticed and unbiden, brought out a fresh hot serving. Some parts outstanding, but the popularity is overwhelming so be prepared to wait.

    Absolutely terrible service for Mother’s Day Brunch. We were told they had a backup in the kitchen but the server never did anything to make the experience better. Keeping our drinks full seemed to be the farthest thing from her mind. She spent all her time in the kitchen having other run food for her. After twice getting my wife’s food wrong she never came out to check on our meals. Thankfully there was a manager on duty that did his best to make it right.
