Bar was very backed up tonight. Took about 20 minutes to get a drink at the table - 3 times in a row. Has to be a lot of lost revenue for the restaurant when a beer, a cocktail and a glass of white wine each take 20 minutes to deliver to the table, separately. Unfortunately not a good experience. The bar has to be able to keep up with the dinner table orders or, in my experience, the tables won’t come back. Hope this is helpful feedback.
Just okay, nothing special.
The food was good, the decor was cool. The best thing about our evening was how great our waitress was! She took great care of us and paid special attention to our girls. They enjoyed it and we did too!
I was one person and service was terrible it took 10 minutes to get a glass of water. It took 25 minutes to get bread.when my water glass was empty I was asked if I wanted more water. I never got it I finished my meal and had to ask someone else for water. It took a while to process my check at that time the manager stop by cuz it was dirty plates on my table. The food was prepared nicely as I ordered but I was totally disappointed in the service. Also there was no linen napkins today they only had beverage napkins.
We went to celebrate a special birthday. Our appetizer arrived before our drinks. We had to ask for silverware and napkins. Some of the food was cold when it was served.
Our server, Brice, was really informative and professional but also really nice.
Another Great Kona Grill Dining Experience...Food A+ Service Needs Improvement.
We recently dinned at Kona Grill for Valentine's Day...we arrived early in order to catch a movie afterwards...there were very few people in the restaurant & yet it took almost 25 minutes to get our Sushi appetizer...Dinner was served at the same time, so we didn't have time to enjoy our appetizers, since our hot food would have gotten cold.
While we love Kona Grill & their food is always great...be prepared for a Long, Long, Long wait for your food.
Managers, Nigel & Domitrio were extremely helpful to get us our food, since we had to leave quickly, but it shouldn't take 2 managers to intervene to get service.
I hate to think what the other later diners encountered!
Great food and great service. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
The worst experience!! Waiter took our drink order and never came back... a different person delivers the drinks... watched the waiter go to all of his other tables but ours... spoke to the manager who actually mistakenly twice tried to bring others peoples food to our table( should have taken it since we never ordered)
When I explained that the waiter never came back the manager said let me get you bill... What?!?! He then realized and said he would take care of our drinks
Worst Pre Valentines Dinner ever!!!!
Always a solid place I can take friends and everyone find something delicious to eat.
Went there to celebrate my Girlfriends birthday, dirty floors (food, napkins etc). Service was mediocre at best, very loud. Definitely not a place for a romantic dinner even when you leave special instructions that you’re celebrating a special occasion
Excellent food, congenial atmosphere.
Kona Grill is always constant. Great food, great service.
Service was extremely slow. 30 min to get our apps. When they arrived we asked the server to ensure our entrees would not come out immediately. Sure enough 2 min later they did. We sent them back and although we were assured that new ones would be prep’d when they arrived they were both over cooked dry fish and only like warm. We said something to the server who could have cared less. First and last time to dine here
Diverse menu and great preparation along with nice service!
We were there for a birthday. Our waitress Cam was very helpful with the menu. She gave us excellent service. Will definitely be back!
As always Kona Grill never disappoints...wonderful lunch had by all of us.
I really like this place, but it is not without problems. Twice in a row I have made a reservation, to have a backup plan, checked in at the desk, and then told the hostess I was sitting in the bar area (for dinner). Twice in a row they have marked me as a no show or cancelled me. This is ridiculous. Kona Grill, just stop that.
Always a lovely experience at Kona. Service tonight was much better and quicker than my last two experiences. Well done, will be back soon.
Food was good but we ordered sushi and it took over and hour to get our food. While other tables who sat down after us and ordered after us got there food and sushi before us. When we got our food one of our rolls was wrong. Our waitress said she could hAve them remake it but never asked offered to give us a discount on it. We ended up being late for our movie. It was not our best experience there.
I have dined here many times and the food is consistently great.
All of our food was delicious. Very accommodating to special request.
The food was ok not the greatest. The server thought it was a great idea to try and hold a glass of red wine and a flight of sake and let’s just say it didn’t end well. New Year’s Eve and the red wine went all over two of our guests. The only thing Kona did was buy us a round of drinks. They did offer to pay for dry cleaning and hope they follow through and honor what they say. A little disappointed. Will be going to other restaurants for sushi.
Very good service and well crafted cocktails. Avocado egg rolls were very good. The fondue was lukewarm in the smoked Gouda fondue. For entree, Kona churrasco was very chewy and dry.
Friendly waiter made the evening enjoyable. Excellent food prep
They have a great smoked Gouda fondue with tart green apples and soft pretzel bites. The sushi menu is robust and the tuna tower is a must try for sushi lovers. (comes with crab and wasabi aoli). The lettuce wraps and Cuban sandwich are good too.
We were so disappointed with this restaurant. We had a reservation and got there earlier and they were able to seat us. That was very good. Out waiter was very nice as well. But our food was all over cooked. I had salmon, rice and brussel sprouts. We also had dumplings that were over cooked. Food was not good. Will not be going there again.
This was out first visit to Kona Grill . We've been to almost every restaurant at Avalon. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a nice vibe. Our waiter was very cordial, professional and knowledgable. Unfortunately the food was not very good. The macadamia chicken was cold and and tasted like it was hospital food and made the day before. The mashed potataoes that acccompanied the chicken were room temperature and had no flavor. The supposed tasty Jambalaya was bland according to my daughter . My wife got the Chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps and they were oversalted. I would go back for a drink at the bar but for the food. Disappointing since we expected better .
Understand that it’s the holiday season, but was disappointed in the time that it took to deliver our meals, especially since we ordered off the special of the day menu tables around us who were seated afterwards were served their meals before we received ours. Good food, poor performance.
Our meals were all good. Service was right on. It was quieter than usual as we were there for an early (4pm) dinner. Always a good choice.
